As the final touches on the rough outline to this guilds story are hammered out I would like to inform you all that there will be an attendance check starting today and ending on Sunday June 9th at 7 PM Eastern Time Zone. Ample time of course to make sure you will be included in future of this guild. If someone is indeed removed and wishes to return, code word is newtype, they will gladly be included as well. No need to check in with what faction or team you are a part of seeing as those are soon to be given a major overhaul. It might be a little unorthodox but I would like you to fill out the form below when checking in. An idea for the guild: GX-like barrens, Vulture-like groups instead/in addition of the usual 'warring major factions', salvaging MS (for the vultures) before later on being able to manufacture their own models, or somethin of sorts. Probably... leave outer space out of the early stories due to the lack of tech to access (Mass drivers etc are still in progress of rebuilding by the military-like faction, while vulture would naturally have none unless they somehow manage to take advantage to use the faction's ?)
[EDIT] The exclusion of the "previously made this place too crowded non-gundam gizmos" originating from other series such as Code Geass, Macross, 40k, Star Wars, Armored Core, etc etc

Username: Valin the Evil Hedgehog # of posts in the guild to date: This makes 427 The secret code word:Newtype (The best of the superhumans) An idea for the guild: Posi's idea is nice, allows for easy introduction of new people into factions since anyone who has salvaged an MS is a nice addition to defense forces, or people could be independent salvagers, albeit much more dangerous to go alone. I suggest Newtypes as our super human. It allows Cyber-Newtype sub-type, and is one of the most common types in gundam.

Well that's somewhat embarrassing The secret code word: Newtype An idea for the guild: All mobile suits are set on a default mass-production standard, perhaps 1-4 different starting suits for each faction, that have to be upgraded (or replaced) as time goes on with scavenged parts from various junkyards or in searches for lost tech for lucky ones to pick up (successful findings may decrease later chances, to try and even it out for the lucky people). Also, research within factions could provide more powerful default suits to keep newcomers from being left in the dust as the storyline goes on.

Username: Katheryn Yuki # of posts in the guild to date: 46 (47 Including this one) The secret code word: Newtype An idea for the guild: With the scavenging idea for simpler units, a possible idea could be a simple "placement" plan to avoid overload/stacking similar to Armored Core.
Maybe someone could draft a research/development tree with sub sections for fractions with a "time until completion" (ie: Offense ->Beam/Solid Weapons ->Piercing/Exploding/Rapid/Scattering) for self-development.
A selection of weapon/armor options that expanses as research is done for new units/people for a bit of starting diversity.
Could potentially use other non-gundams as psudo-gundams or lesser units.
With regards to scavenging junkyards, maybe a list of options and using Gaia's random number generator for discovering lost items or technology, and change them when found unless it is common.

Have the factions start at base technology levels, base suits, and base abilities. All the different tech when it's just piled on just gets confusing to the more casual players. Not to mention people start relying more on their tech and less on skill or experience when the technology is so easy to get a hold of. Hell I think limiting the guild to earthbound roleplaying for a while would be a good thing.
And I think that dumbing down all the different types that people can have their characters be would be beneficial. In my opinion I believe it'd be a good idea to just stick with normal Humans, Newtypes, and Coordinators as character types.
Also instead of starting out with huge armies and armadas of ships have each faction have just a single country or a few small ones banded together. That way they have to work for the power they want, aka taking over neighboring countries and continents, and can't just say what strength their faction has. They have to actually develop their military might.
Another thing I think would be good is having a set amount of resources that each faction has access to. Resources they can spend on arming their mobile suits, developing new tech, and expanding their influence. They actually have to set up mining and gathering outposts and the more they have the more resources they can use. I say they bring in a set amount of resources every two weeks based off of how many mining and gathering outposts they have. Give each faction one to start out with that's their main gathering center set securely in their home territory and have them go from there.
Also as a way to cut down on people just randomly appearing in combat or coming out of nowhere to attack key positions have threads and areas set up that are 'in transit' threads where they post that their character is traveling to someplace in another faction's territory. That would give them time to spot the person's suit incoming and get defenses set up. Because in reality you wouldn't be able to just fly into a hostile country's airspace, make it all the way up to their capital, and start attacking it without SOMETHING trying to shoot you down.
Thoughts on Tech - Have a time set on developing tech. Depending on what the faction is trying to develop determines how long it takes. As in developing something like the Virgo's barrier from Wing would take ten days in real life. Of course to be determined by someone appointed to monitor these things. - Things in development would have their own separate thread where the people developing/researching the tech would have to post at least once a day to represent how far they've progressed. - Only one thing being researched/developed at a time. - The tech trying to be developed has to have a base. Researching something has to have something to go off of whether it be existing tech that the faction has or something that they captured.
... Just a few ideas. I'd be more than willing to help with all the technical aspects if any of these are appealing.

The reason im asking is that i like the Newtypes, but i also like the innovades too.

Sure it's underpowered but its been improved meaning it can be accepted for rping but don't bring the storyline from the evangelion series to the guild.
