Bischofite stood over the slackened husk of a man, who slumped against the alleyway weakly. Their exchange was quiet, almost inaudible. Almost intimate, but truly lethal. He whispered his private opinions in the bleeding ear of his captive audience. He didn't expect a response, but the man's pleadings were welcomed warmly. Bischofite knew this battered man understood his own mortality, but he would not survive the night knowing what insights the raven-haired lieutenant imparted to him.

Soon after closing the distance between them, Bischofite stood with a softly glowing crystal in hand. It still felt warm, almost inviting. Perhaps he would admire this one for a while, study it for all the minute imperfections lacing the man's misbegotten life.

Something buzzed in his ear. No, in his mind.

Something unwelcome. Something antagonizing.

A senshi.

Bischofite gripped the starseed in seething rage and took to the rooftops in practiced efficiency. He understood how to identify and approach those scathing energy signatures, how to tell them apart from his own. He knew from Kallichore that senshi could pose a threat, but they seldom resorted to such violence. Such deadly intent.

Bischofite seized a discarded roofing shingle on his way toward the pinprick of light.

Maybe this one knew he was coming. After all, as surely as he felt them, they could feel him. The signatures provided a black thread to bind them both, some intrinsic value of fate to spur them along their paths. To puppet them without remorse. Could this senshi appreciate such an insight? Probably not; they often lost themselves in the noble aspects of their plights. A pity.

Truly a pity.

Bischofite halted on the precipice of a building, with the green-haired senshi in his golden sights. She looked unusual compared to the others. She sported more black than he was accustomed to, yet her fashion was every bit as rotten. Perhaps that tipped him off that she was of the White Moon variety, as Benitoite called them. "Hey, Senshi!" He called abruptly. "Catch!"

He threw the starseed as hard as he could. Maybe she'd understand its significance.

Maybe he'd just kill her and take hers instead.

Tortali had indeed felt the prickly uncomfortable nasty feeling of a chaos aura nearby, she had indeed felt it, and she was more than fully intent on going in the opposite direction to get the hell away from it. Tonight wasn’t really a night that she wanted to get into any sort of fight or scrape or anything. Honestly, she really just wanted to nurse the bruises that she had gotten earlier that night from her training session with Kallichore. That girl could really spar, that was for sure.

And it would have been a very beneficial thing…to have the information to use at a later date…not to get into another fight a mere hour after her last one was finished.

Her head whipped around though when she heard the shout of the nega and when the word catch was spoken, of course her hands flew out to catch whatever the object being thrown was. Of course…if she would have know better, if she could have known not to…there would have been no catching involved with her nightly routine tonight…but sometimes…you just had to reach out and grab life by the…well. Grab life.

What she didn’t know was just how fragile life could be…until the starseed cracked in her palms, having been caught between the two and squeezed just a little too hard. Luckily for her though…there was still going to be a few minutes before her brain caught up…and really realized what she had done. “And what was that you just threw? That’s really a lame weapon, isn’t it dude?”

Bischofite grinned widely. She didn't know. "Of course it is, girl," he agreed, before he leapt from his building and onto hers. He threw his hands up in a mock shrug while he approached her. "But I haf' to work wis' what I'f got, yes? Surely you can understand that, and forgif' me for my terrible weapon choice. After all, life is surely not to be toyed wis' like zat. Not to be used in a game of catch." His hands returned to the back of his hips when he drew to a stop.

"But, you see, you damaged my little toy. It's useless to me now. I'll haf' to replace it somehow, and you're ze only soul I see. I'll make you a deal - you find someone and bring zem to me, and I'll take zeir starseed instead. If you don't, I'll just take yours. You haf' sirty seconds to bring someone to me or forfeit your life, little girl. Don't waste zem."

Would she obey and bring him a hapless civilian, or would she simply try to run? Would she stand her ground and surrender herself, or would she haphazardly try to fight? If there was anything he'd learned about senshi of similar power level to himself, it was that they lacked the ability to fight. They preferred to cower away in the unwilling shadows and slip out of his grasp than to stand up for their misguided morals and fight him. Even if they did, he wondered if they possessed the knowledge to fight properly. Did they know how to avoid telegraphing their kicks? Their punches? Their mere thoughts?

He enjoyed picking on the weak and meek. He reveled in their squirming responses and halfhearted attempts at attacking.

Hopefully this one would feed that desire.

Tortali froze, things starting to slip into place in her mind. She glanced down at the now crushed…thing. Starseed. Aw s**t. She just crushed someone’s soul…

Well. This was no time to dwell on that. She was facing a grade A creeper now, and she really…just had to deal with this s**t before it got even more out of hand. Not that it wasn’t already out of hand but…

She tossed the smashed object to the ground and quickly wiped her hands on her shorts. She could deal with that later, right now…it was time to kick some nega butt. She hadn’t had those lessons for nothing…

“Like hell I’m going to play your games, you creepy…furry creep. I’d rather just settle for kicking your butt right here and right now. How does that sound?” Tortali hesitated for a moment, then ran at him, hands curled into fists. She was going to get her own sort of revenge for whoever it was that he had killed. Because he was the one who took the starseed in the first place. It wasn’t her fault at all. It was all him.

She lunged, throwing a punch as hard as she could, hoping to get his face…or stomach. Wherever the fist landed. Though, she hoped it did land.

"Haf' it your way." He spread his arms wide, as if inviting her to attack him. Goading her to take the bait. And in a way, she did, due to her glaringly obvious full assault, fists raised and all. Even an epileptic in the midst of a seizure could read her attack with ease. But, perhaps it wasn't so bad. After all, if she telegraphed her attacks so proudly, then he might depart without injury.

Not bad at all.

Bischofite slipped past her attack with little incident, and darted behind her soon afterward. He wasn't interested in assaulting her just yet - he wanted to test the limits of her aggression before meting out some serious damage. Besides, considering how close to the edge he was, she just might ... fall off. Wouldn't that be a problem-solver?

However, his luck with such affairs often proved meager. "Sorry, I didn't catch your name - I'd like to haf' one when I rip ze starseed from your chest." He grinned at the girl and backed up toward the center of the building. With a little space and a lot of insults, he might just turn this night into an interesting, if not exhaustive, test of wit and speed. in the process, he might just net himself a fresh starseed to replace the broken one.

Apparently not all souls are built to last. C'est la vie; there were far more wasted sacks of flesh in the streets.

Juniper was not a happy camper when the negaverse creep moved out of her way as though she was moving in slow motion—though neither was she happy that he was behind her…or that she was getting quite close to the edge of the rooftop. None of these things were good things…not at all.

She spun around, glowering at the agent. “My name, hm? And why should I give you that? It’s not like I want you satisfied in any sense of the word…though perhaps. Just this once. I’ll give in to the whims of a crazy killer. Sound good?”

The senshi extended a hand towards Bischofite and gave a smile. “Tortali simple grudge!” Well, it had her name in it, at least. But, she hoped that her attack would at least buy her some time to get the hell out of there.

This was seriously not a situation she wanted to be in. Not at all.

Bischofite snarled at the mockery in her words. He wasn't stupid; he knew full well that she sought to chastise him through her tone, through cowardice. Or did she simply prefer to avoid taking him seriously? What was the point of facing down someone who obviously proved he had no qualms in killing, yet spitting in his face?

Maybe she wanted to die. He could oblige that.

As she extended her hand, he reached toward it; if he could grab it, he might be able to pull her close enough to slip a hand into her chest and be done with her permanently. However, as he reached to grasp her wrist, an ominous, dark cloud sprouted from her fingertips and made contact with his hand. Rather than pursue his action, he recoiled reflexively. What in the hell did she do to him?

Almost immediately after contact, welling rage and cold disgust threatened to deter his motives. Alexandre, that slip of a boy, put him in this position, and now he sought to do the blonde's bidding by hunting down senshi? What the hell was he, a fool? Who capitulated to the enemy's wishes as a means to exact revenge? Or did he enjoy this audacious life of prowling across rooftops and engaging in clandestine battles? <******** ridiculous.

Even as he tried to focus on the girl before him, no matter his intents, he could not push the thoughts from his mind. He absolutely seethed with the desire to see Alexandre a bloodied and broken mess at his feet, and this girl... Didn't remotely look like him. She couldn't possibly conjure these feelings herself. She did nothing, less than nothing.

Perhaps instead he should head home and break the blonde's neck.

Tortali was wincing, quite sure that this time she really must be done for….but then…

Well. Her attacked seemed to have saved her a** yet again. How wonderful was that? But right now…right now wasn’t the time to celebrate, no that would come later…

Right now…

The senshi inched away, hoping and praying that this guy would continue to stare into space looking angrier then a wet hen…because…well. That would give her time to turn tail and run like hell.

Which is just what she did of course. Without a word Tortali ran for her life. She had to work on saving herself before she could allow herself to mourn for the poor person that that guy had killed…the soul she had crushed. But it wasn’t her fault. Seriously, it wasn’t her fault at all. There was no possible way she could have known.

None at all.
