There was a can in the middle of the road. It looked like it had been run over at least a dozen times, all crumpled and flat. Ambrosia kicked at it with her boot, sending the beat up aluminum skittering away a short distance with a satisfying clattering sound. Her hands never left her sides as she followed the cans path and kicked it again, ignoring the world around her. The antenna bounced with each step, and her legs felt a little cold, but she ignored that too.
Was she supposed to be a senshi? Pippin had come to her in her hour of need and gave her superpowers, but was that an act of desperation, or was she destined to be Chibi Ambrosia?
The older senshi and even the knights didn't seem to think she belonged out here. They said she was too young, that she should be in bed right now instead of out here on the streets. On some level, Ambrosia agreed with them. She WAS too young to be out here this late. But she had something that other little kids didn't. She could defend herself. If something or someone came after her, she could use her superpowers to get away.
SO why did they think she wasn't good enough?

Hugbell had been perched on a set of stairs at a store front licking an ice cream cone. When she felt the presence of another order member, possibly chibi. Then the sound of a can or what was left it of skittered over the ground.
Hugbell paused before continuing to lick on her ice cream. "I've seen that look before~" She eventually spoke up, and if it was the feeling she thought it was, she knew that one too, granted which kid didn't know the feeling of being sad in some way or another. "What's wrong?"
She moved beside the chibi that looked glum and unhappy. Hugbell on the other hand seemed not to mind one bit that she was a child and out on the streets patrolling. Heck she even had ice cream, "There's an ice cream place still open if that'd make you feel better."

Ambrosia looked up as she heard a small voice from the left of her. She hadn't noticed that there was another person around, let alone someone who was powered up and sent off a power signature. Her green eyes looked up and met Hugbell's eyes, and she smiled just a little bit. Here was another Chibi Senshi. Someone who might know just what she was going through.
"Sure, I'd like some icecream." she said, following the other senshi to the icecream shop that seemed to be open quite late. The man inside didn't even bat an eye at the way she was dressed. Perhaps he was used to costumed kids coming through late at night? Once she had her two scoop mint chocolate chip cone, she looked at Hugbell carefully. She was a higher power level, and didn't look like she felt out of place in her fuku.
"What's your name?" she asked between licks. Each one seemed to brighten her mood a little more.

Hugbell waited for the other to order her ice cream and paid for it herself, and gave a wave to the man behind the counter. Hugbell was still licking on hers trying to get it before it melted on her hands and soiled her ribbons, "Hugbell" She answered with a smile.
She was glad that the ice cream seemed to be lifting the other's mood, "What's yours?" She asked as they continued to walk. The yellow and blue clad chibi took a bite from her cone while waiting on an answer.

"Ambrosia." she said, licking her icecream. She noted the hood on Hugbell's outfit, and thought that it might be especially warm during the winter. Perhaps she would get one too.
"Say, you're a Chibi Senshi too right?" the brown haired senshi stated more than questioned. "Have you run into any Knights recently?" the memory of Shallot and her mothering stung her chest.
"I did, and she told me that I am not supposed to be fighting. That I am too little and the cat that gave me my powers wasn't supposed to. But I think she is wrong. Does anyone ever tell you that too?" If anyone would understand her predicament, it would be a fellow tiny soldier of justice.

Hugbell continued, "Nice to meet you Ambrosia." She pulled at hood and put it down, so that her curls were free from it.
"Yeah, of course I am." She chuckled, "I can't be a normal senshi I'm not old enough." There was a shrug as she continued, to walk and nibble on her ice cream cone.
She paused, "I know plenty of Knights." She answered, "And senshi."
The next moment she was stopping and looked at Ambrosia with a sigh. "More non-believers? I was hoping we'd gotten rid of those." She rubbed her temple before continued to walk. "Yes, when we first started showing up there were a lot of people that didn't think we belonged. I have to agree occasionally there's one that might not belong here or there, but it's nothing you can't fix with a little training."
She paused, "They just think it's too dangerous. Really they're worried for your safety but they don't realize that we're actually helpful until they need us."
She rolled her shoulders, "It's why I wanted to start the Chibi Host Club, actually. There's plenty of adults that realize they do need us, and it would help us, if I can get it up; to connect with them."

Ambrosia listened to Hugbell's reaction, pausing in her walking as the other senshi did. She figured that it wasn't just her that received the skepticism; all of the other Chibis had to have dealt with someone that told them they shouldn't be here. It was silly to think that she would be the only one. Lenka had never mentioned it though, and besides her friend, she had never met another younger senshi before Hugbell.
When she rubbed her temple, Ambrosia offered a sympathetic smile. Apparently with Hugbell, it had been more than one person.
"My friend Lenka has been training me." she said, not wanting to be one of the senshi that she said didn't belong. She wanted to be helpful!
"I met this Knight named Shalott, and she didn't seem to like that I was out here fighting. Even though I am already a Super senshi! How can they think that it is too dangerous for us to be out here, when they are doing the exact same thing?" Her voice took on a bit of a whiny tone as her sentence came to an end.
Her antenna bounced as she tilted her head. "Chibi Host Club? What's that?" It sounded like a club, and if it was a club, she wanted to be a part of it!

"Ah that's good Lenka's a good chibi to train under." Hugbell nodded as she seemed to be thinking. A knight named Shalott, Hugbell gave a frown, she hadn't met the knight but that didn't sound like a pleasant meeting.
"A lot of them don't understand. We're just kids to them, we shouldn't be seeing what war does." She paused, "It's not pretty but we'd grow up to see it eventually anyways." She said as she finally paused again, "It's kind of like your parents, they care and they don't want to see you get hurt, it's a big possibility unfortunately, I've seen someone dropped from a really tall building, thank goodness I was there or they'd been hurt worse than what they were."
When the other chibi asked about the host club a grin came over Hugbell's face. "Well see, what it is, is sort of a club and a team rolled into one. I plan on there being a main team -- those of us without teams; and then there's those of us with teams. However, I'm also going to try to recruit adults that support us being part of the team. Some of them might coddle, but they wouldn't ever tell us we can't."
Hugbell nodded as she pulled out Barnaby from subspace. "Plus it'd be good for us so we could have a buddy system. That way those with attacks that are kind of... useless expect in certain situations aren't left without anyone to call for backup." She tossed Barnaby towards the sidewalk and waited for him to land before calling out her attack, "Teddy Comfy Catches! Trust me when I say some of us could use the extra back up." She chuckled a bit as she walked over to the bear as he grew to the size of a twin bed. "If you want to take a break from walking we can sit on him for a bit, just don't jump on him he'll shrink faster."

Hug bell was making sense, and Ambrosia nodded along, seeing a little bit where Shallot was coming from. Maybe she had kids when she wasn't running around as a knight, and seeing a young girl doing dangerous things brought out her motherly side? Perhaps she wasn't judging Ambrosia on her quality as a senshi, but for her age and how it made Shallot feel to see her participating in a war.
A club! And more teams! Ambrosia got really excited. Perhaps Hug Bell hadn't heard about their team yet! "We have a team, Lenka and I." she said, taking a seat on the magically expanding bear. She was struck dumb for a moment when it appeared, and the young senshi briefly wondered just where the bear had come from.
"We are called Team Yum Yum, because Lenka is the senshi of watermelons and I am the senshi of Honey! We also have a grown up senshi, her power sphere is Peppers." Ambrosia had never met this senshi, but if was willing to a join a team with two chibis, they couldn't be all that bad right?
"Are you in a team Hug Bell? Or just the Host Club? Oh! And I didn't even ask what your power is!" Maybe it had something to do with bears, or stuffed animals.

Hugbell couldn't help but giggle a little as she sat on Barnaby. "Ah I see, the host club is centered to let even those with team be in it. Kind of like a mother goose with it's goslings, unlike mother goose though, we even take the ugly ducklings."
Those that didn't belong in a team. She smiled, "Honey huh, that does sound yummy." She nodded listening, peppers huh? Now that she wasn't sure if it sounded like a dangerous sphere or not, perhaps it depended on the type of peppers. "I like Bell peppers." She said eventually.
"Me? No, I'm just working on getting the host club up. Those that don't have a team and need one to stay, even if it's temporary until they find their team, can be direct members of the host club though."
She was laughing, "My power... welllllll my sphere is comfort. Barnaby here normally catches people to keep their landing from being so rough." She nodded at the bear. "I guess you could say that my power is making him grow." It might not have been a glamorous power but it was a power that had come in handy many times. Including saving her behind a few times.

She imagined a line of senshi following Hug Bell like a row of baby geese, and almost laughed. Of course that wasn't what she meant! She meant protection, and guidance. Ambrosia wondered who exactly were the ugly ducklings and how they got that title.
Beaming, the brown haired girl nodded, saying "Yeah! I kick big balls of honey at bad guys, and then it hardens and turns into glass!" Well not exactly glass, but something sharp and dangerous and glass-like. "The girl who makes peppers, she's really nice. And she throws peppers and they make this big cloud of gas. It makes you cough." she remembered the gas well. her throat had been raw for a day afterwards, though it didn't seem to effect Pomona. Probably because they were hers.
She bounced a little on the bear. Comfort seemed like a not very dangerous sphere. How did she fight bad guys? With pillows? She voiced this question. "If your sphere is not for fighting, how do you fight bad guys then?"

"Hm, big balls of honey sounds pretty awesome and useful on Youma." The child nodded as she leaned on Barnaby trying to pay attention for when the bear would start to shrink again.
"How do I fight the bad guys? I fight them like a lot of the other older senshi and knights do when I have to fight them." She answered, "You kinda got to learn to be flexible and sometimes you have to actually hit people with your fist... or kick them in the knee."
She paused, "Barnaby is sometimes good for escaping too if I need him. Mostly he's for catching."
There was a small shrug, "Honestly, I've found a decent amount of the bad guys, if they're alone will talk to us. However, you get a lot of 'go home you shouldn't be out here' with them as well. You kind of need to get to know them anyways, it's not all about fighting." Hugbell's outlook on the situation was perhaps somewhat different than others.

Ambrosia nodded. "I kick youma, but it's harder to kick negaverse agent. I once used my honey on a dark mirror senshi, and it broke her hair."The memory brought back shivers. She had paid dearly for messing up the women's hair. The bruises didn't go away for a week!
Her head tiled to one side when she mentioned nice bad guys. Now that didn't make sense at all! They were bad guys, not good guys!
"You mean you talked to bad guys? Like, had an actual conversation with them?" This concept confused Ambrosia, a feeling she didn't bother to hide. "But wouldn't they just attack you?"

"Some do attack us." Hugbell admitted, "A lot do actually, but there's some that really will just talk with you. Often they talk to chibis more because they don't feel right fighting a child." She shrugged softly, "They're not all bad, they're just misguided and misinformed." The child added as she shifted slightly.
"And yes kicking negaverse agents can be harder because they're older than us. At the same time we're a little faster than they are and smaller sometimes too." The child pulled her hood back so her curls could bounce free. "I think they realize it's not always a good idea to attack a child. I haven't had to many encounters with Mirror senshi, I've normally talked to the negaverse."

Ambrosia considered this. Thinking of Negaverse agents as misguided certainly made them seem more...sad. Like, they were brainwashed.
She nodded, thinking hard. "So, if they are misguided, then shouldn't we try to make them...guided?" she shrugged. "Then they wouldn't be bad anymore, and may even help us!" The idea made her excited. They could all join forces!
"Have you ever convinced someone to change to our side?" she asked, leaning forward excitedly.
