With the Carnival in full swing, Painite saw her chance to start the fun. And what was phase one, exactly?
Youma.
Youma everywhere.
She had been gathering them for some time, with help from others, and they had begun to gather on their own. Maybe all the chaos in the air, the promise of so many helpless sources of food and starseeds gathered in one place, was as tantalizing to them as it was to Painite herself. Whatever the case, they were there, and they were chomping at the bit.
It took a few little teleportations from the General to encourage and herd the youma out of the surrounding forest and their hiding places, but the monsters soon made themselves known as they charged into the carnival, spilling into every area, from the entrance to the farthest corners of the rides and the picnic areas. Even the lake did not seem youma free.
The General took a moment to admire the sudden hellish terror that burst forward as people realized this was not some gimmick from the carnival itself. She gripped her communication crystal, and then sent out a message to all the Negaverse soldiers in the area.
"Bring me all of their starseeds. Take every ounce of energy you can. Use the youma as your distractions: drain this place dry."
Let the games begin! With the youma running wild and the exits sealed, the carnival is at the mercy of Chaos! It is up to the White Moon and anyone brave enough to rise up to do what they can to spare some lives. Chaos, your goals remain the same: there is no hiding here, no need for subtlety. Painite wants everyone to let loose. You can consider that an order.
Show them your power, whatever side you fight for!
I've done my best to make the games interesting and prompt fun RP! I don't know how well everything will work so if there are any issues or concerns please PM me, as I can never think of everything!

The Roller Coaster: What's less fun than a roller coaster that has come to a complete stop? One that won't stop at all. The coaster, either by Negaverse sabotage or the dumb luck of a youma, is out of control! The carts won't stop, and are going much faster than they are meant to. Some of the safety requirements are still intact and keep the trains from careening off the track, but there is no telling what more can go wrong.
Please wait five rolls from other players between your own rolls! (or an hour, if there are not that many rolls.) You may roll as many times as is possible until the next prompt!
Randomize between one and two to determine where you are!
1 - The cue 2 - The ride
The Cue: You are not on the ride, but you are not safe from youma attack and the Negaverse! Chaos, likewise, must be careful of any White Moon threat not trapped on the ride itself. There is a great number of youma here, and the chance of being attacked is much higher.
The Ride: You are stuck on the racing train cars of the roller coaster! They bump and jostle at a speed that feels more than thrilling, but legitimately unsafe. The sudden turns are jarring and harrowing, but the safety straps are still buckled even if the automatic locks aren't working. Even teleporting seems too dangerous, as one cannot get their bearings.
The ride shoots through the loading area ever few minutes, racing by the cue. Leaving chances to jump on it, or jump off. OoC this chance occurs once every hour.
If you try to jump on the ride: roll a 1 - 10 dice! Even numbers mean you successfully jump on. The higher it is, the better off you are. Odd numbers mean you fail, and are left open to a bad fall, an attack, or something else. The lower the number, the worse it is.
If you try to jump off the ride: roll a 1 - 10 dice! Even numbers mean you successfully jump off the ride. The higher the number, the better the landing. Rolling a 2 results in injury. Odd numbers mean you fail, and are stuck on the ride. The lower the roll is, the worse it is for you. Buckle up!
When you are not on the ride, you are engaged in battle:
Negaverse: Randomize 1 - 20!
1 - 3 :: Failure! You have drained very little energy, or done very little damage to a senshi. Certainly no starseed for you. If you are fighting a senshi, you are not doing a good job of it. 4 - 14 :: Getting Things Done. You are doing the Negaverse proud, gathering energy or battling senshi with prowess. Higher rolls likely mean starseeds being pulled! 15 - 20 :: Kicking a**. You are a force to be reckoned with, and you are proving yourself on the battlefield. Rolls with these high numbers result in powerful, damaging attacks, or pro starseed ganking. Full energy drains can also suffice.
White Moon: Roll a 1 - 10 dice!
1 - 3 :: Youma attack! If you are not in a battle with a Negaverse soldier or rolling in response to something they have done, this number reflects a youma attacking you successfully. You may have been injured in this attack. 3 - 8 :: Defense force! You are handling yourself well against the youma attacks, and are likely able to fend off their attacks. Lower rolls in this range likely come with small injuries, while higher end rolls can result in youma dusting. This may also reflect the strength of your attack against a Nega. 9 - 10 :: Critical hit! A youma is successfully dusted, or damage is dealt against a Negaverse soldier, resulting in injury.
Civilains: Randomize between 1 and 5!
1 - 2 :: Caught in the Crossfire. You find yourself in an incredibly dangerous position, be it stuck in a bad place, or suddenly falling between two battling opponents, or a youma attacks you. You are hurt and need help! 3 - 4 :: Open Target. There is battling and monsters all around you! You can find cover, or do something bravely stupid. The choice is yours but you are not safe. 5 :: Unseen. You are safe for now! No one seems to notice you, unless you make yourself known. It might be a chance to help, or to try and find a way out.
Please keep a running tally of all of your rolls!

It was like a scene taken out of a horror movie. Only worse when one realized that you were actually part of the action itself instead of apart from it in the comfort of the cinema. As luck would have it, Hafwen had to be on the roller coaster itself when things literally went bat s**t in a matter of seconds with the ride running along much faster than it was supposed to.
Gripping tightly onto the safety railing itself, it wasn't any more reassuring to find that even the safety catch for that had gone offline as well, her heart literally in her mouth as she hoped fervently for her own sake as well as that of the other passengers on the ride that it wouldn't derail and send them crashing into the ground below.

Painite's order came through, and that's all Mica needed to hear. Suddenly, whatever prattle that was going on between the lieutenant and the Corrupted Senshi meant nothing to her, and she gave her order. Whether they wished to follow through with it or not was their decision. She was playing off their strengths and knowledge, and if they wished to take that advice, great. If not? Then she hoped they were willing to suffer the consequences of that decision.
Tonight, this was for her, and the Negaverse she once knew and loved. Whatever energy she gathered, whatever Starseeds she plucked from the unsuspecting victims, she did it in honor of what this organization once was, and maybe, just maybe, could become again.
She drew her weapon and made no introduction. She didn't need to make an introduction. She didn't care if they knew their murderer or not, as it wouldn't have mattered. She swung her spear at an arch, aiming her attack at a group of people that were trying to flee from one of the youma. She would eventually make her way to the coaster, but for now, she'd be content to plow through a few on the cue line.
Hafwen had to get off the roller coaster at some point. It was dangerous of course, trying to jump off an object that was speeding at such a high speed but she couldn't take the possibility of a disaster happening without trying to do anything about it. With her decision already made up in her mind, she very carefully pushed the safety railing open wide enough so that she could slip out of her seat, balancing herself precariously in the cart as she took a couple of deep breaths then jumped when the platform that marked the starting point of the ride came into view. She barely made it, rolling on the platform a few times only to hit her head hard against the metal console and then lying next to it in a daze as she momentarily saw stars dancing within her field of vision.

Hafwen might have a bump on the side of her head and things starting to look kind of funny all around her, but there was no way that she was going to sit around and wait for a youma or Negaverse officer to attack her. She would have considered powering up into Dallol but that might only draw more attention onto her and put herself into more danger so that was a definite no no at this point.
Muttering a couple of choice curses beneath her breath, she rubbed at her head, frowning when her fingers came away wet with blood. Ah crap. That didn't look good at all. She pushed herself off the ground, her arms flailing as she tried to keep her balance, wandering around somewhat like a drunkard as she tried to wade her way through the chaos that had erupted around her.

Tonight yielded something beautiful.
The knotted, writhing masses of youma surging through the carnival marked Painite's cue, and he appreciated her all the more for it. The loud colors of the carnival were silenced by the blackness of the monsters while they seeped into the tents, into the rides, into the stands. Screams punctuated by youma snarls hissed through the air, and Typhon was all but forgotten in the midst of the cacophony and terror. He had a job to do now: a glorious, exhilarating job.
He could die tonight, and that death would be perfection.
Bischofite sprinted after Mica, and watched in mild interest as she immersed herself in the chaos surrounding the cue. Watching her in action was tantalizing, though not as inspiring as Painite. It didn't send excitement buzzing through his veins, or constrict his heart in inspiration. Still, if she remained here, who would terrorize the ride?
He would, of course. Bischofite smiled crookedly and gave Mica a quick wave before hopping into the unruly cars. How thrilling.

Well s**t.
Noah had been focused pretty hard on getting to the ride, and getting on with the lady he'd been going back and forth with all this time. Didn't even make it past the waiting line.
The sudden onslaught was a shock and he found himself knocked over by the crowd moving crowd and pushed out of the way. God knows what happened to Nick, but he dodged beneath something hopefully safe to power up.
Now Alfheim, Page of Earth, he tried to convince himself that yes, this is totally better, even though he just wanted to stop dead now that he was open to the sickening amount of Chaotic energy in the area. What was he going to do now?!
Finding his friend and making sure she wasn't dead or anything while in the the process of not getting a bite taken out of his a** would probably be a good start.

Nicole had been sort of excited about the Roller Coaster with Noah but she wasn't entirely shocked when he got pushed away by the crowd. She had chased after him to see if he was all right but she lost sight of him, assuming the worst. She was an officer of the law but she was also a page of Saturn. It took her a moment to gauge the situation, watching as the roller coaster cycled continuously. It was a good thing Noah and herself hadn't gotten on because if they had she was fairly certain he wouldn't be keeping his promise about not puking at that point.
This was too much for a simple officer of the law. She would need to be more than that, something with more power in this battle. She looked around once more for Noah as she watched everyone scramble before ducking behind something Noah was definitely not behind, nor anyone else. She sighed, quite unhappy with how the events had unfolded. It was like the world didn't want her and Noah around each other because every time she got close something terrible pretty much happened! The pie had been a warning and she didn't listen! She didn't have time to now. She powered up into Svartalfheim, Page of Saturn. However, it was then she realized just how bad of a situation she was in. She could feel it. It was everywhere. Chaos.
She had to find Noah. He was just a civilian and since she had been accompanying him she felt like it was her responsibility to get him out of danger. However, to be honest, she felt that way about everyone here. It was her job, literally, both as Officer Walter and Svartalfheim. She had to save them all. She couldn't let them down. This was her duty.

Brilliant. Just bloody brilliant.
The roller coaster he'd waited a good half hour to ride was now stuck on repeat like a broken CD player and he along with it for the ride.
As the roller coaster lurched and groaned its way through the tracks, Bischofite realized that it was a legitimately bad idea to use the ride as a means to pluck easy starseeds. Not only did it prevent him from balancing properly, but any time he tried yielded failure in the form of a jerk that nearly sent him off the side. Considering he wouldn't be of any use falling into a writhing sea of youma, he abandoned his efforts and instead waited for the ride to reach its loading area.
He'd been on roller coasters before, but nothing like this. The ride bucked and jerked as if trying to throw its passengers in a seething rage. It forced its way through the tracks violently, more in an attempt to break them than anything else. In response, the massive contraption groaned and swayed, indicating that it just may break from the unrelenting abuse. Bischofite wondered if he would survive this, but that wonder only lent to the thrill of discovering his own mortality.
And he had Painite to thank for that.
Within a matter of minutes, the cars shot into the loading docks, and he used the side of the car as a springboard. However, the momentum of the ride carried him at an odd angle and he slammed into a support rod for the loading area, jarring him significantly. It was more an embarrassment than it was a legitimate injury, but it hurt his ego nonetheless. Maybe Captain Mica wouldn't notice, and he certainly hoped Typhon was too occupied to make a jab at him in the heat of battle.
His first attempt had been unsuccessful. Vesuvius was not daunted and tried again. This time his safety belt was stuck on him as he tried to jump, pulling him back into the car and slamming his head against the head rest. The thing was no cushioned and he saw stars, lying there precariously for a while until he could regain his senses. He was going to be in a lot of trouble very soon if he couldn't master himself.

Now that he was off the roller coaster from hell, Bischofite could finally do some damage. He slipped into the roiling crowd easily, searching for a proper victim. Civilian, senshi... It didn't matter. One way or the other, he'd hunt someone down. Numerous pages dotted the crowd, obviously too preoccupied with the chaos to bother with him, and his appointed captain drew considerable attention to herself with her expert fighting prowess. All of these things bode well for him, as there was little reason to keep an eye on a single lieutenant.
He spotted a fleeing boy, no older than fifteen, and seized him by the arm. Despite his protests and attempts to wrench his arm free, Bischofite held onto the boy easily. "Someone's been naughty today, child," he grinned wickedly. In a fluid motion, he attempted to slip his hand into the boy's chest. "I'll gif' you a hint: it wasn't you."
Surprisingly, the boy managed to escape due to a youma striking him, breaking Bischofite's grasp with mild surprise and sending the kid tumbling to the floor. Fueled by fear, he scrambled to his feet and tried to take off into the crowd.
Bischofite recognized that panicked gleam in the boy's eyes. He managed to seize the kid by the back of the neck and slam him into a nearby support pole, knocking him unconscious. It wasn't the most graceful way of pulling a starseed, but at least it ended the struggle that deterred him. He knelt down, pressing his hand into the boy's chest and usurping the little gem that he'd been instructed to snatch. Pocketing it, he elected to rejoin the crowd.
Poor Vesuvius didn't really have a chance to actually -do- anything. He seemed forever stuck on this infernal roller coaster. At least he managed to get his whits about him before he was thrown from the damn thing. For now being blessedly stabilized, if not entirely safe, seemed better than dazed with a possible concussion.
