With the Carnival in full swing, Painite saw her chance to start the fun. And what was phase one, exactly?
Youma.
Youma everywhere.
She had been gathering them for some time, with help from others, and they had begun to gather on their own. Maybe all the chaos in the air, the promise of so many helpless sources of food and starseeds gathered in one place, was as tantalizing to them as it was to Painite herself. Whatever the case, they were there, and they were chomping at the bit.
It took a few little teleportations from the General to encourage and herd the youma out of the surrounding forest and their hiding places, but the monsters soon made themselves known as they charged into the carnival, spilling into every area, from the entrance to the farthest corners of the rides and the picnic areas. Even the lake did not seem youma free.
The General took a moment to admire the sudden hellish terror that burst forward as people realized this was not some gimmick from the carnival itself. She gripped her communication crystal, and then sent out a message to all the Negaverse soldiers in the area.
"Bring me all of their starseeds. Take every ounce of energy you can. Use the youma as your distractions: drain this place dry."
Let the games begin! With the youma running wild and the exits sealed, the carnival is at the mercy of Chaos! It is up to the White Moon and anyone brave enough to rise up to do what they can to spare some lives. Chaos, your goals remain the same: there is no hiding here, no need for subtlety. Painite wants everyone to let loose. You can consider that an order.
Show them your power, whatever side you fight for!
I've done my best to make the games interesting and prompt fun RP! I don't know how well everything will work so if there are any issues or concerns please PM me, as I can never think of everything!

The Animal Pens: Well this is a surprise to no one: the animals are loose! Someone has set the animals free and they are not insusceptible to the high emotions of the evening! They are scared and wild: and they are not making things easy for anyone. They have no team, no alliances, and no goals other than to survive. And of course the youma have not gone anywhere.
Please wait five rolls from other players between your own rolls! (or an hour, if there are not that many rolls.) You may roll as many times as is possible until the next prompt!
Civilians: Roll a 1 - 10 dice. Even numbers mean you are attacked by a youma. Roll a 9 means you are attack by a wild animal! How could this night possibly get worse? Odd numbers mean you are safe, for this turn. Roll another 1 - 10 dice. Even numbers will allow you to escape if you were attacked last turn, unless a senshi rolled to save you already!
Order: Roll a 1 - 10 dice. Even numbers mean you can rescue a civilian from a youma or a wild animal! Rolling a 9 means a wild animal has attacked you, but has moved on after one attack. It has left you with an injury! Rolling odd numbers mean nothing directly, though there are youma and Negaverse around at all times.
Chaos: Roll a 1 - 20 dice. Anything over 15 means you can steal a starseed or full drain some energy, and add that number to your total! Anything below a five leaves you open to an animal attacking you, before it bounces off to another target. Anything between dictate the power/success of any choice you make (attacking a senshi, going after a civilian, trying to trap someone in a pen... whatever).
Part of Gwendolyn Caspian knew to suspect something was amiss, and yet, she was completely surprised to hear a shrilled shout, as well as the sight of the cage doors swinging open with a clang. One after another, the cage doors swung open, and it wasn't just animals that charged out of the bars, it was youma as well!
"Well... s**t!" Gwen cared nothing for the offensive language she expressed and took action immediately. She didn't need to look to Orah or Arian to know what the plan was, and given the amount of confusion going on around them, it wouldn't have been a stretch to find a spot to transform. It meant abandoning Sirsce and Haley for the moment, but she had to act, and fast! Before people and the animals got hurt!
It didn't take long for her to find a spot free from sight, running after a screaming woman and the youma that was nipping at her heels. The moment she jumped over the large sign, she transformed into Eternal Sailor Tsui, and in mid fall, she landed on the youma's back and drove an elbow into its neck, saving the civilian from what would have been a painful death. The woman didn't stick around to thank her, and honestly, Tsui didn't care. Not when there was chaos going on around her. "PSSG, front and center! We have to protect these people!"
She searched the crowd for her allies, as well as any possible enemy officers that may have been around. They wouldn't have just sent youma out... since when did Tsui ever have that kind of luck?

Sirsce blanched at the sudden mix of humans and animals, along with youma to spur them into chaos. The people she'd just met scattered as well, and she was left alone in the midst of this boiling mass. What was she supposed to do? Save people? Protect her identity? Abandon it all and run? Sirsce panicked for a moment, and stood frozen in her place. What about Haley, or Arian? Where did they go? What about Orah or Gwen? Was she alone now?
When she heard a civilian screaming nearby, she realized the folly of simply standing there, immobilized by her thoughts. Instead she sprinted toward the empty cages, slipping behind the curtain near one so she could transform. Soon after, Sailor Leda emerged from the curtain, in an uninspiring and uncertain fashion. The howls of the youma struck down her confidence and filled her with fear, but she knew she had people to protect. Civilians to save. And on top of that, Eternal Sailor Tsui probably needed some help!
Without wasting another moment, she headed toward the screaming civilian, jumped onto the stands Haley had fallen off of moments earlier, and propelled herself into the air. As her momentum carried her downward, she landed atop a youma, crushing it into the ground. She was rather surprised at the outcome; normally her attacks weren't this successful! With the youma dusted under her feet, she felt some of the tension leave her body. At least she could do some good here, even if she wasn't that skilled at being a senshi.
In a moment of curiosity, she glanced around the tent and spotted Tsui again. She waved, hoping the more experienced senshi might see her.

Today was supposed to have been his debut in front of a real audience, with a real job at a real circus. Instead, it seemed to be his first day in hell.
Dressed in his new circus finery, Elijah had been making the rounds of the carnival, doing his acrobatics and contortion for the crowds who seemed to truly enjoy his entertainment.
The end had come, ironically enough, at the animals pens. Elijah didn't even like animals...
Seeing a cute girl, the young acrobat had decided to show off a little, jumping up to balance on the edge of the guard fence. Once there, he'd bent himself double with his head between his feet and given her a wink and a grin, the bells on his braids jingling as he moved. The distraction had kept him from seeing the rampaging animals until it was too late to do anything about it and he'd suddenly found himself flying through the air from some hard impact.... from behind.
Tucking and rolling to minimize the damage (thank you years of practice at falling), he jumped up in a graceful motion, a smile plastered on his face. Bloody hell... he was going to murder whoever thought it would be funny to knock him off the fence in the middle of his performance...
What greeted his wrath, though, was something that was far beyond anything he had seen before, even living here in Destiny City. The monster loomed over him, its twisted set of animal features leering as it reached for him. That was NOT part of the carnival!
Elijah threw up his arms to protect his head as he stumbled back, bells adding their ringing to the screams echoing through the crowd.
"Aye, aye, General!" He called back into his crystal before finally rising up from the perch that he'd taken atop one of the buildings nearby the pens. He was, for all intensive purposes, the commanding officer over this area; something he hadn't expected, but would be certain to make General Painite proud of.
He glanced around quickly trying to locate Lieutenant Opal and Lieutenant , cursing only momentarily that he had not spent more time briefing himself on either of the Lieutenants. "Opal. Schörl." He spoke in to his communication crystal to try and rally his own troops. "Let's not let General Painite down, alright? Go for the civilians first. If they're just civilians, great. If they're senshi or knights who haven't had a chance to power up yet, even better. Take them out before they can take you out. Got it?"
He then added in as he jumped down from the pen to the ground. "If either of you have any better ideas, now's the time."
Orah felt a surge of fear and adrenaline as all hell broke loose in the animal pens. Not only was there a flood of youma, the real animals were playing havoc as well. Seeing her friends make a break for cover, she swallowed down the surge of panic she felt and made a dive for her own cover. Crouched behind one of the empty cages, she called up her power and felt the light fill her.
"Ida Asteroid Power, Make-up!" Rang out, and when the light cleared Ida jumped to the top of the cages to take stock of the situation.
"Tsui! Athene! You good?" She called, taking a round house kick at a youma head as it got too close to the cage she stood on. Forgetting her increased strength, she smiled in satisfaction as the weakling burst into dust and the man it had been attacking got up and ran for his life.
She had really been hoping to enjoy a night out with her friends. The Negaverse was always showing up to ruin fun things...
With all of the beautiful chaos around her (and not just the stuff living in her heart) Opal found herself very happy indeed. She heard the words being spoken to her and nodded, though it was unlikely he could see that.
"Working together might be a good idea. I realize spreading ourselves out might gave a certain advantage but isn't it better if we work together to put these puppies down quickly and quietly?"
Hell, he'd asked for ideas. She had one. Between the three of them it didn't seem like it would be hard to drain each person in a row, one after the other. She was still new to all of this, terribly new, but she'd read enough books to know that working together was usually infinitely better than apart.
Such as when a ******** tiger comes out of no where and tries to bite her head off.
"Tha ********>"
She tried to roll out from under the swiping thing who appeared agitated and was probably feeding off the fear and panic in the air. Only, it picked the wrong target. She slid out from underneath it, scoring a gash along her arm for her trouble, and threw a civilian in front of her to buffer the next attack.
He looked almost apologetic as he reached down in to the chest of someone who had been attacked by one of the larger, more vicious animals. Lion, tiger, bear? It didn't matter, their light was almost out anyways and it would have been a real shame to let their starseed go to waste. "I'll guard this for you." He murmured as he pulled it out, watching it shine just a bit brighter as the light in the young woman's eyes went dull. He flipped it in the air before snatching it, tucking it in to his subspace pocket as he summoned his weapon out.
"Give us a meeting place, then, Lieutenant." He called back in to his crystal. "Or name a target. Who do you want to take down first?" Captain Richterite wasn't one to go about denying ladies what they wanted... "Quickly, before the senshi start multiplying."

Unfortunately, there just happened to be a civilian nearby. Lt. Opal grinned and pointed to Orah. Between the two of them it looked like an easy and tasty target. And if any of these people, or all of them, could be an enemy Richterite was right. It was better to take them all down before they could power up and cause trouble.
Too late. She could only hope now that could take the senshi out while she was still freshly powered up and maybe a little confused.
"She looks ripe for the plucking, Captain."
The idea that she was calling people so clearly younger than her captain and general still freaked her out a little but, hey, drink the Kool-Aid, right? She easily Stockholmed once she was corrupted and doing things like this helped. She wasn't sure why all the stuff shirts insisted on their stupid rules and regulations. They were protectors! They shouldn't be hiding. In that, she really liked General Painite's style.
Leda thought she was on a roll, after her effortless dusting of a youma. However, the ensuing cacophony prevented her from determining what she should do next, where she could go next. It sounded like screams and howls came from all around her, and she didn't know where to start. Should she get to Tsui? Should she fight on her own? Should she try to come up with a plan to remedy all this madness? Even if she could think of a plan, she doubted it would work. Every time she planned something, it ended in dumpsters...
Then she spotted someone. A Negaverse agent, given his aura. If one was there, she assumed there had to be more.
The man was a captain, judging by his aura, which meant it was prudent for her to stay the hell away from him. Suddenly wading her way through the sea of civilians and wild animals seemed a far better idea than the rest. At least if she could get to Tsui, she'd feel safe enough to continue dusting the youma. As it was, she didn't think the captain spotted her yet, but she didn't want to appear a target.
"Hey!" She yelled over the crowd, waving erratically toward the eternal sailor. "Lemme help you!" Finally she tried to duck and weave her way to the eternal's location. Hopefully Tsui wouldn't mind the forced company, especially since fighting on her own probably meant certain doom.
Schörl laughed, the doors flying open and a terrified horse rearing past. This is going to be a Mardi Gras of adventure, trying not to get trampled or mauled while jamming our hands in people's chests.
But she'd looked somewhat like a carnival worker horse trainer this whole time, which meant best of all, people listened as she directed a few into the now abandoned horse stall. "Step right this way, this way, this is safer than running about with a bear and a tiger. Let us get these animals under control! Easy, don't panic. You'll be good once I get this stall door....closed."
And she had a nice waiting lump of people chattel waiting for them. The words over the communicator came loud and clear and she lifted her crystal to speak, "Captain Richterite, Lieutenant Opal , Schörl here next to the horse stalls. Got a pen with a few huddling once we're done with the runners. Can we pincer some between us? What's your positions?"
Lt. Opal nodded though her comrade couldn't see it.
"Captain, we need to take action."
She glanced sideways and looked serious.
That she was new to this showed and she felt a little silly but managed to drain one of the random runners and not the Senshi she was aiming for. Oh, well, it was all energy anyway. She wasn't taking starseeds yet, not entirely certain how she'd feel with her hand thrust into someone's chest.
"Can you keep the people there with you?" She asked Schorl.
It would be nice to have a cowed little group there to drain at will if they could easily be contained.

Arian had looked around absently at the sound of a metal clang, only to see one of the animal pen doors open. It took a moment for him to realise just what the heck was going on and then he realised that all the pens doors were swinging open, one after the other, metallic clangs ringing out across the crowded animal pens. And were those youma coming out?
“Oh crap!” He said quietly, taking opportunity caused by the panic starting to sweep across the animal pens as others started to notice the open pen doors to power up by an abandoned pen.
As Eternal Sailor Athene he was able to sense what Arian had not, the feel of chaotic auras – although not just auras – there was Negaverse officer about somewhere – mayhaps even more than one, although he couldn’t be certain of the number and there was too many people milling around at any rate to easily find where the aura or auras were coming from.
He heard a distressed neigh and narrowly managed to get out of the path of one of the escaped horses, as he looked around to see if he could see the people who had been nearby. For Gwen and Orah he expected to see Tsui and Ida repectively. But Sirsce had been nearby, so had the woman he'd recognised as being one of the candidates in the city council election - Hayley Jones.
At Tsui's call for the PSSG to take front and center he called out "I'm here Tsui" while trying to see if he could see Ida. His friend and fellow senshi was right though - they had to protect the civilians - had to prevent this being like the city council meeting where the Negaverse had gatecrashed and killed so many.
