After being stuck in a bed for about a week, it felt great to get up and stretch her legs. Ellie was never the lazy sort, so even if she was stuck in bed for a week for a legitimate medical reason, it still felt like an unnecessary torture to her. However, she was now awake and feeling a lot more energized than she had in a while. She felt invigorated, though such a feeling probably wouldn't last considering the task she had to attend to now.

Her timing was careful. Ellie conveniently waited for Annie to take a shower. During that time, she wrote out a message on the computer and left it for her to look over when she got out.

Borrowing the cat. Be back in one hour.

The cat, who had been taking residence upon the beanbag chair, casually glanced up at the tomboy.

"...Something up?"

Ellie pulled out her henshin pen and transformed before picking up the cat by the scruff of the neck and plopping her down on her shoulder. "...I'll deal with her b*tchin' later... just come on..." With a press of the button, soon enough the pair were brought to space upon the Iridian Asteroid.

"We need to talk...." she started off strongly before plucking the round cat off her shoulder and tossing her onto the dark sand.

Without skipping a beat, the feline seemed to sprout into her other human-like form the moment she landed on the ground.

"I do recall you mentioning something to that extent before. So what's up?" The girl crouched down closer to the ground, eyes eagerly looking to Iris to further explain what was going on.

The blonde turned around for a moment, looking away before she also shifted forms. Her fuku grew out, shifting from white to yellow as the edges soon enough touched the sand. Her hair grew out longer and two wings jerked themselves out from each shoulder, causing the girl to grunt slightly. Taking on this form did cause a bit of physical strain, but for Iris, it was worth it to be further connected with the world she had once been born to.

She turned to the Mauvian, looking into her eager green eyes before confessing "...I knew about Psyche for over a year now..."

The girl tilted her head in a very feline manner to the side, taking in the information as best as possible. "...I was wondering how you knew her name... but... I don't remember you being in Greece at any point in time...?"

With a shake of her head, she mentioned "...that is not what I mean, *********. I never met her before in this lifetime..." She drew a hand up to her own chest and clenched it slightly. "*********, Psyche was always one of your girls... she has been since the Silver Millenium..."

The Mauvian soon enough was upon her feet, marching right up to the princess and looking her in the eyes. She was a good deal shorter than the young lady in front of her, but standing on her tiptoes, she drew her face in close, her eyes trying to judge the Princess' honesty.

The look she was getting back was not one of a liar. In fact, the look she got back caused her to stagger back slightly. The golden eyes that were upon her were a gaze of pity. There was a deep sadness to them that the Mauvian had no clue how to interpret.

"...the Silver Millenium was such a long time ago... how can you be certain...?"

"...over a year ago... I had gained this power..." she gestured over her full body down to her gown she wore. "...and I returned back here... I had been receiving many memories, remembering pieces of the life I had at one time... but after I had become this, I was able to remember much more than one could possibly imagine." She essentially now had two lifetimes stored within her head, which at times could be quite the headache. She would not complain about it, since it gave her a new perspective on many things that others could not comprehend.

"...our fates... mine, yours, Metis', Parthenope's, Irene's, Hygiea's, Egeria's, Eunomia's, and Victoria's fates... are all intertwined... as is that of Psyche's..."

********* stood her ground, but her usually confident eyes fell to the ground upon her little wriggling toes digging in the sand. She usually was so confident and playful whenever she had visited the Iridian asteroid in the past, simply inquiring of Iris of anything she knew, but nothing more than such. Now faced with the knowledge that she as a guardian cat had somehow screwed up was a harsh blow to her ego.

"...w-why... why didn't you tell me about Psyche sooner?"

The princess stepped forward, narrowing the gap between the pair before wrapping her arms about the Mauvian. She pulled the smaller body up close against her, squeezing gently for a sincere hug.

"...I had my questions at first too... I didn't know if it was an oversight on your part, or if you were withholding information on purpose. I wanted to believe that you would remember Psyche on your own..."

The reality was crashing around the poor Mauvian, and soon enough the burden was too much to handle. She pressed her face against the princess' chest, hiding the shame of the tears that were flooding our from her eyes. "It's because of me that Psyche lost everything! If I had remembered her name... maybe... maybe we could have prevented the Negaverse from getting her... maybe... she wouldn't have to suffer like this!"

The taller of the pair gently reached about and pulled the Mauvian's decorative hat off her head, letting it drop to the floor before reaching behind her head and scratching behind her ears. "...no *********... there is nothing you could have done... Psyche was in Greece... you were here in America. You have already done sooooo much for all of us. Please, don't blame yourself for what happened with Psyche. She might have lost the family she had in this lifetime... but she has her family from the Silver Millenium with her now."

She sighed a bit before pulling the Mauvian closer. "...I know my cat would never do anything but the very best for all of us..."

"Hmmm...?" Briefly she looked up from her hiding, eyes now red and cheeks blotchy with color.

"...I know that you really are my cat, *********... you told everyone else that you are the cat for everyone on the team... but you were truly my cat from the get go. You know it in your heart of hearts..."

The Mauvian seemed soothed by these words, gently nodding her head to the princess cradling her. "...yes... you were actually the girl I was supposed to protect... but... that just seemed unfair to everyone else..."

"...you have always been such a giving, loving creature, *********." With that, the blonde let go of the Mauvian before sitting down upon the sands, patting the spot next to her.

More out of curiosity than anything else, the cat-eared girl sat down, careful to not sit on the gown itself. She rubbed at her eyes, trying to banish away the tears she had been shedding before.

"...To strengthen our bonds... I want to share with you what I know about our lives from the Silver Millenium... we can't afford for you to not know these things, since it could leave us at a disadvantage again in the future."

"...no more senshi that I am not aware of, right?"

With a knowing smile upon her lips, the Princess replied "No... no more senshi..."

With the remaining portion of the borrowed hour, Princess Iris would tell ********* as much as she could about who the Mauvian had been in another lifetime. An ambassador, a mentor, a traveling performer, and most importantly a friend, all rolled up in one bundle of fur. In the end, the princess couldn't share everything, but she managed to share the most important pieces of who the cat had once been.

With her stories done for the day, the princess stood up, her form gradually fading back to that of her eternal fuku. "...We need to go back before Annie goes nuts..."

With a firm nod, the Mauvian shifted back to her usual form and trotted over to sit on Iris' foot. Soon enough, the pair had returned back to Earth to deal with the not-so-usual way of life once again. It might have taken one mistake, but as a team, they knew their bond was now as strong as ever.
