His parents, Melanie and Cody Alvey, were both killed in an accidental fire while he was spending the night elsewhere, putting him into the foster system and through a parade of parents of varying natures. The last of the lot, a Cliona Haden, kept him for the longest of them all, but, by the point she reached him, it was already too late for him to build trust with another parental figure. Still, the woman tried her best with him and even took him along when she moved them out to Nirvani Island for a teaching position. From what the woman had thought would be a peaceful and solid setting for the child, turned into the starting of arguably everything that had gone wrong since. Conor, during a fundraiser event, had bumped into Keith LeBlanc and, from then on, they grew to become friends – closer than anyone Conor had ever allowed himself to. Any previous friends he hanged around were ignored whenever Keith came around the island for visits and any form of rebellion was only amplified by the boy's presence. Not that the schoolteacher had notice very well as she had been getting busy with her own life – finding love, starting a family, and so much more that Conor was never really accounted into. It was only a matter of time that she had made the decision with the steadily increasing danger level the boys took in their games that she couldn't care for Conor any longer.
He was sent away to Saint Suplice des Douleurs, a boarding school that Keith's mother happened to be on the school board with. While he wasn't the happiest of teenagers, he still had at least someone he felt he could count on in the school. Of course, that someone was Keith. He had been sent off to the same academy and it wasn't unfathomable that the other boy knew how to get what he wanted, which was a school year or two rooming with Conor. They eventually ended up as friends with benefits through a series of most probably drug-related events before dropping out of the school altogether and running with their tuition money to the streets. A few months went by before Conor burned down their apartment and left them homeless. With barely enough money to get by, they decided to go out to the cheapest place they could think of until they earned up enough cash to go back to the city. Nirvani Island. The arrival at Nirvani Island was pretty casual – they both got a room at an outrageously cheap, but well furnished inn, took part in a few festivals, and hanged around like they always did. It was all the regular mischief they were used to committing – well.
There were some new additions. ..Or, one. Blaire Vatonage, an old friend of Conor's, hadn't left the island since Conor's disappearances years ago. She was still the same girl as before, albeit older and more feminine. It didn't take long for him to start bumping into her, considering how small the town was, and, what had started out as avoiding quickly turned into seeking. Time went by and Conor was sneaking out without Keith by his side to see her, lying whenever questioned, and trying his best to maintain two lives at the same time. There were times, yeah, when he couldn't handle the anxiety of it and he knew it wouldn't last forever, but his youth shined through as he consciously decided he didn't care about the future. Well, until the future came to be his present. A few arguments later, when stress and guilt started to wear on his resolve, Conor let something slip and, for Keith, it had been the clue he needed to figure out what the hell was up with the other. Needless to say, it didn't end well for either. Conor and Keith split that night.
Conor went to stay with Blaire, deciding that the decision of who he should go with was already made through that argument. He stayed with the girl while her guardians were off the island, spending his days sulking in a room. There were the occasional moments where Conor felt better about himself and them, but something or another came biting at him to go back into his corner. It didn't take long before Conor had turned to one of his constant stress relievers – drugs. He made a stupid attempt to coax the girl into trying some with him as, well, misery just loved company, but Blaire wasn't some weak-willed girl. She kicked him out after a heated fight, which Conor sorely came to regret once he sobered. He left a note for her and left the island – but not for good. He checked himself into a rehabilitation center to try to 'fix' himself up.
Half a year later, Conor returned to the island, but he wasn't met with what he had left. There weren't any explanations – no one was willing to outright tell him what had happened, as he was more often met with a snap or punch than anything. But, he was told enough to know he was at fault in some way. Keith had gone into a comatose state, Blaire had been stabbed, and Conor, again, had to choose between the two. Instead of allowing someone else to make the decision, though, he found himself sticking by Keith's side until the man woke up. The engagement he had proposed to Blaire previous was broken off and, as soon as Keith started to get well enough to walk, they both left the island, for what they thought would be for good this time. But, ah, yes, fate just loved to toss them a wild card. Conor had gotten a call that he was the new owner of an inn he once worked at back when he was a teenager by some odd catch the old owner had in his will. Since Keith was done with his culinary arts school and Conor was bored out of his mind without something to keep him busy, they both decided to just come back – with their new cluster of adopted slaves children.
A decade of the first content period Conor had taken part of later – well, as content as Conor could be – and they're still living in the same home, with the same children, and doing the same work. Conor never went out of his way to make it up to anyone he managed to agitate during his time on Nirvani Island, but he really couldn't care less about it all. In fact, he seems to go out of his way to stoke the fires whenever things get to be too boring and teaching John the correct way to lasso a bull doesn't suffice. 'Stoking the fires', though, quickly became the only thing he's been doing as of late since Keith was offered a great job on the mainland with his own restaurant. Though Conor sorely wanted to, he couldn't just abandon the inn and it wasn't like they had the money to find a place in the city. Tough as it was, Conor stayed behind to gift his sour mood to everyone and anyone.──────────────────────────────────── e t c . ──────────────────────────────────── L I K E S. . +++❤ Seafood ❤ +++❤ Fish ❤ +++❤ Matches ❤ +++❤ Frog ❤ +++❤ Orange ❤ +++❤ Lighter ❤ +++❤❤❤ Seashells ❤❤❤ +++❤❤❤ Cowboys ❤❤❤ +++❤❤❤ Fire ❤❤❤

Sure, he's slow in a lot of areas – anything that really requires thinking, to be frank – but, he has probably the best nature around. He's completely sympathetic to most of everyone, loving, caring, and would do anything for even a stranger if it meant knowing he helped in some way. It's just a pity that he had to come under the care of Conor and Keith, of all people! Conor picked John up as his golden child, which meant he bugged him nonstop to become the person his father wanted and John, being the loyal, helpful child he was, didn't see any issue with changing himself to suite his father's wants. He found himself pretty lucky, in fact, that he had such a man be his father – how may people had parents who cared so much that they would tell their son who to like, love, hate or what kind of foods they liked or how they felt on things?
John's life was ten times easier when he was being told what to do and he still got the nice glow of making someone happy doing it! He carried this behavior on around his siblings, albeit Eet was exempt considering Eet was.. well, Eet. Then, after a time in school, he started to do the same with classmates, teachers, and, eventually, anyone who would ask, even if he didn't know their name. It was pretty hard to find John not doing something for someone at this point, always going to and from with some new task in mind and happy as can be.
Needless to say, John never had any issue making friends with this attitude and it was especially easy when he picked up soccer. One of which was his cousin, Wilhelm LeBlanc, who seems to replace Eet as his 'younger' sibling, having always felt something amiss since he was first told Eet was to be his pet than his sibling. In any case, he hangs around Wilhelm more than anyone – Quentin seems bothered by just about everything John does, so he'd rather not pester the boy, while everyone else in class didn't seem to have any need for him outside of asking him to do things. Wilhelm, on the other hand, hardly seemed to be the same and, so, of course, the first person he goes to is Wilhelm, even when it's to ask for something! Such a thing is nearly impossible for John, but, well, on occasion he may need to borrow a pencil or have someone help him figure out why someone was angry with him and Wilhelm was that someone.
Until he moved away, that is. His go-to friend for understanding all the things in the universe hit it pretty well as a model, which was wonderful and John couldn't be happier for his friend! Even if it meant that he was a bit sad to be alone – but, he keeps himself busy! He recently got a job at the local farm and has been helping tend to the animals there during most of his time, if he isn't hanging with his recently depressed father. The family certainly has shrunk, what with Quentin too busy being an adult, Keith heading a restaurant overseas, and Eet.. somewhere.. probably in the woods, John is the only one left to keep his dad company! But however lonely it is, he still has a whole flock of sheep pretty much to himself.──────────────────────────────────── e t c . ──────────────────────────────────── L I K E S. . +++❤ Cowboys ❤ +++❤ Sheep ❤ +++❤ Helping ❤ +++❤ Food ❤ +++❤ Yellow ❤ +++❤ Building Projects ❤ +++❤❤❤ Babies && Kids (Don't tell Conor..) ❤❤❤
