History: Since as far back as Yuri can remember, her mother hopped in and out of the hospital. She had been sickly since childhood, so spending half of the year under the direct care of doctors had just become a fact of life, one that her daughter had to become adjusted to as well. Really, the little girl didn't think much of it. Sometimes Mom was at home, sometimes she wasn't. They still managed to have a normal family life. Mom taught her how to put her hair in braids, Dad took her out for ice cream after their weekend visit. She was a well behaved child, and she lived to make her mother smile.
However, when Yuri was six, her mother finally succumbed to her illness and passed away. For the first few years, her father tried very hard to maintain the status quo. They remained close, played games, and he would take her out for ice cream every weekend, like they had done when Mrs. Allen was alive. But he was burdened by hospital bills and funeral costs, and so he devoted himself to his work. His hard work paid off, because he soon rose up through the ranks until he reached an influential, high paying position, but there were consequences. Yuri found herself at home quite often, which instilled a sense of independence, as well as an intense loneliness, at a surprisingly young age.
Mr. Allen didn't neglect his relationship with his daughter without regret. He decided that by moving to a quiet, small town like Sonata Town, he'd be able to foster a closer relationship with Yuri. However, he found himself traveling overseas more often than he had been before. At least then he doesn't have to worry about Yuri's safety as much.
Yuri was a seemingly mildmannered and feminine little girl, though this just came from her desperate desire to make her parent happy. She actually was a bit of a tomboy, and hated the dresses and uncomfortable shoes her father bought for her. Because things had been so rough for her father since his wife's death, she had learned to keep her mouth shut. However, left alone in a new place, she found an alternative to focus on -- her friend, June. The two really didn't get along, but he was the only friend she had, so she clung to him, desperate to please.
When she was thirteen, she decided she was done trying to appease someone who wasn't there, and shifted her focus from gaining her father's approval to gaining June's. She began dying her hair, dressing in flashy clothes, skipping school, as she awkwardly, and rather unconsciously, attempted to get her friend's attention. For most of her adolescence she wasn't really aware that an obsession was developing, or that so much of her behavior was actually motivated by her attachment to June, so as she was unaware of her real emotional wants, she awkwardly went through life trying to find satisfaction through other means. She had a lot of flings as a young adult, trying to satisfy something that actually had very little to do with sex and had more to do with a deep desire for acknowledgment. However, as she wasn't aware that this was happening at all, she grew up flirtatious and seemingly self-confident, though in actuality she had almost no self-esteem and was relying entirely on outside sources for her happiness and contentment.
When she was seventeen, her father remarried. Since his relationship with his daughter had suffered significantly, and the two were no longer on speaking terms, he stopped coming to Nirvani during his breaks, and gave Yuri the house as her own. Yuri refused to go to the wedding, and so she never met her step-mother, step-sister, or half-brother until her father's funeral, and she continues to treat them as if they have nothing to do with her.
Yuri's twenties were an exciting time for her. After eventually realizing that she did like June more than a friend, she didn't really do much about it, because rejection is scary. However, when Yuri was 26 years old, things happened and the two began dating. She was content for a little bit, but since her attachment to June had less to do with him as a human being and more as him as a tangible symbol of her intense craving for self-worth, she wasn't content for long. They got married not even a full year later. Newlywed life wasn't terrible, even happy, but Yuri found herself prone to intense bouts of jealousy and even stronger feelings of detachment. She felt that June was drifting away, so she proposed the idea of having a baby, as if that would fix their relationship. Of course, it didn't, it never does, and when Yuri found herself pregnant with twins, things just sort of continued to spiral out of her control. Pregnancy did not suit her, and she was tired and moody and crabby all the time, which certainly didn't help a couple already quite prone to arguments.
In year 23 the twins were born, and although Yuri loved them from the moment she saw them, maternal love had little sway over that gnawing obsession in the back of her mind. She loved her children, but she was also jealous of the way June paid more attention to them. Stress and lack of sleep meant that she was even less emotionally stable than before, and... Well, it should come to no surprise that the marriage didn't last. When the twins were a year old, June and Yuri separated. Since then, Yuri has been a mess. The babies went with June, leaving her alone in her big house, and she's just been left alone for much of it. Her job is the same, her house is the same, but everything is too different, she struggles to cope. During this particularly vulnerable point in her life, her only hope was that she would win June back -- not for him or for their children, but simply so she can feel grounded again -- though it definitely was an unrealistic goal.

History: Jeffrey was born to Yuri Allen and June King, a dysfunctional couple who had probably reproduced for all the wrong reasons, the younger twin to his sister May. Jeffrey was a baby who wouldn't stop crying, which made his mother's life much more difficult than she would have liked. When he was barely a year old, his parents divorced and he found himself in the care of his father, with the occasional visits from his nutty mother. As a toddler, he has had little happen in his young life, aside from learning how to walk and talk and all that stuff. Oh, and at some point he found his way back into his mother's custody. So that happened.
