I must sleep but I can't.. emotion_drool So instead, I did this.. For those that don't know, Kingdom Death : Monster (KD:M) is an upcoming boardgame that did really well with Kickstarter. It's a survival horror game with a strong emphasis on both horror and the survival of your characters in a dark, alien world where you are deposited without any memory and with only a lantern to illuminate some of the darkness. You do not know why you and your fellow characters are there, all you know is that you must survive. You do this by hunting the monsters found in the dark, taking resources from their bodies and using those to craft armour, weapons and improve your settlement. I thought I'd share some of the amazing art of this game, as it really intrigued me. I should warn you all now up front, this game has a great deal of body horror and mature themes involved explicitly chosen by the creator of this game as a means of freaking us, the players out. While I am not looking to break forum rules, you have been warned about the mature nature of these art pieces featured here, so don't post here just to whine about what I just warned you about!! I'll start off with some concept art for characters and general illustrations of people on the hunt.

Every time I see another one of Adam's updates and see the art previews, I'm filled with more and more excitement, not to mention joy that pledging was the right choice all along. blaugh

I'm into this for other reasons, I simply adore the designs shown thus far and the creature design is simply astounding. I must confess that the rather otherworldly elements and themes of extreme body horror have also spoken to me on some level. redface

Vikki Stardust Whenever someone gets this game, we must play it. emotion_dowant Due to setbacks in production it won't be sent out until March 2014 at the earliest. Shame really, but Poots has passion for his work and takes it very, very seriously. So unlike Raging Heroes, this delay is acceptable and met with approval, because we get more free stuff thrown in.
