These are the cobblestone roads that lead from shop to shop, garden to fountain, and home to home. At the far end of town, there is a street that leads out into the wilderness, but stops just short of completely entering the forest that rings town. If one wishes to travel through there, then they must find their own path without the use of a paved road. These streets only travel within town, some of the roads lined with overhanging trees of varying specie, but still maintaining a completely civilized appearance. Traveling on this may lead to one finding a stray cat or dog, perhaps a rat or raccoon at night, as creatures that the mayor has yet to find a way to scare completely out of their beautiful little town.

Angela had slipped away from her too-large house overlooking the beach, as soon as she'd had some tea and thought she could get away without her father realizing. Fortunately, he hadn't so much as stirred all morning, so she was able to head out for a walk without him tagging along, much to her relief. She'd scarcely gotten two days to herself before he had showed up on her doorstep with his suitcases, claiming he wanted to make sure she got settled in safely, and that there were no suspicious people lurking around waiting to take advantage of her. A little silly of him considering how much time he'd spent ensuring she could defend herself from all the creeper stalkers he'd somehow convinced himself she was going to encounter. The loony. At any rate, it was nice to get out and get some fresh air without him following her around, embarrassing her. It was shaping up to be a lovely day and since she didn't have to be at work just yet, she was thinking of doing a bit of 'sight seeing' (or rather, learning her way around), and maybe going to the park for some quiet time. Or perhaps she'd go down to the beach and paint a little. But for now, a quiet walk down the quaint little streets with an occasional look over her shoulder to make sure her psychotic father wasn't stalking her. As she walked, she was tempted to poke her head into every sigle shop just to see what each and eeryone of them was. But she did manage to refrain and keep herself out on the street looking like a non-chalant resident instead of a kooky tourist. Just.

She should have been working, but, while the quiet of the museum had pleased her, she couldn't ignore that her environment had shifted just enough to disturb her and Xochiquetzal didn't like being disturbed. So, she had abandoned the museum, entrusting its care to the spirits residing within and deciding it best she go wherever she was to go. She didn't exactly have a plan when she left the museum outside of seeking somewhere calmer and more soothing to allow the communication between the Goddess and her spirit to proceed as per normal. She stood outside on the sidewalk and stared at the sky for a moment, trying to read the clouds to see if she could get some direction on where to go from there. But, the sole cloud in the sky looked nothing like the signs she was used to seeing from the soft, fluffy friends; only soft.. wavy.. white as a friendly ghost. She looked down after half an hour of examining it and, to her amazement, the cloud had lowered along with her gaze!
“Ah.” She rose her brows slightly in surprise as she saw a girl she hadn't seen before wandering down the street as aimlessly as a cloud – in fact, that must be what she was. Xochiquetzal was certain of it; why else would she happen to see the girl just after communicating with the sky spirits? Coincidences didn't just happen to her! She waited patiently for the girl to get close enough before lifting a hand in the air, “Sky spirit. Do you have a reminder for me? I.. don't believe there is anything forgotten.. Or is it me to remind you?”

Angela very nearly didn't realize Xochi was talking to her. It was only half because she was lost in thought but mostly because she wasn't at all used to being addressed as 'sky spirit.' There had, of course, been a few jokes back in school about her being a ghost, or the white lady or ice queen or whatever silly name kids could concoct but that had been years ago (besides, all those people stopped once she beat them up a few times...) Even after it dawned on her that she was the one the woman was talking to, it took her a bit longer to answer due to bewilderment over being addressed as sky spirit by some strange lady on the street. Angela frowned slightly, glancing behind her just to be sure there wasn't a sky spirt lurking back there (one could never been too careful about that kind of thing...or something) before she shrugged. "I don't think I do," Angela said cautiously. "And I don't believe I've forgotten anything. Though I suppose if I had, I wouldn't exactly be aware of it..."

Ah. The spirit was correct. Xochiquetzal was unlikely to know if she forgot anything as well. She stared at her for a moment or two in thought – or.. three or four moments.. or five and six.. or.. it was an awful lot of moments that really consisted of the woman standing there with her eyes half-closed in maybe conscious thought. Possibly. Or she just fell asleep again in the midst of that thought. Before she was so deep in slumber that she collapsed, she snapped awake with a gasp and stared at the sky spirit again, taking a moment to remember just what was happening.
“...Hello again, sky spirit.. Perhaps today we will find out.. just what we have lost?” She said as she stepped towards the space between the museum and the next building over, motioning with a sluggish hand for the woman to follow her into the alleyway. She paused a step into the shadow cast there and looked back at the spirit, “It.. is best if your brothers and sisters do not see my attentions towards you.” She started to explain, knowing how nervous sky spirits were about being separated from their homeland, even if it was just by a harmless shadow. “They may become jealous.” A reborn Goddess reading the fortune of one lowly sky spirit? Of course it would be! Xochiquetzal would be bombarded with requests from the forgetful beings if she allowed it to be known!

Angela stood for an unreasonably long time, waiting for the strange woman to reply to her. She was half convinced the woman had fallen asleep on her feet and was looking around for some kind of park bench or something to drag her over to, when the woman seemed to snap back awake. Angela blinked at her, still a little confused. "Perhaps we'll find out if we've lost anything in the first place?" she countered, unsure what else to say. When the woman tried to lead her away to prevent her siblings from seeing them, Angela realized she must have just mistaken her for someone else. "No, I believe you have the wrong person unfortunately. I don't, um, have any siblings. So I believe you may be searching for a different sky spirit. I'm an only child. Sorry." She felt a little bad at that--perhaps because she wasn't sure if the woman was insane, simple, or perhaps just sleep walking--but she felt she needed to say something to make up for not having siblings, so she just sort of blurted out, "But at least that means we don't have to hide from them?"

Xochiquetzal frowned as the woman didn't follow her into the dark alley. Strange, she would have thought the sky spirit would be happy to have the special attentions their Goddess promised. But, she supposed there was good reason for it. Reason that became apparent as the woman continued to speak, talking in ways that mystified even a great, all knowing being such as Xochiquetzal. She tilted her head with slightly widened eyes as she observed the spirit, only breaking the eye contact to turn it upwards in one jerk to make sure what she had said was true. To her own awe - which really didn't happen all that often - she saw that it was. The sky was clear and bright with not a cloud in sight. This was bad. This was an omen in its worse form and she wasn't prepared to solve it. Who would steal the sky spirits?
She was in front of the sky spirit surprisingly quick, taking a hold of her arms, "It is necessary.. to inform the authorities at once." She would have meant herself, usually, but Xochiquetzal had to accept that it was foolish mortal work to imbalance the sky and it was mortal hands that must fix it. "Your witness is vital.. The authorities.. do not often believe me." Not that she understood that. Xochiquetzal only ever gave them truths, but she supposed it was hard for simple human minds to understand a deity. She was grateful that she at least had a spirit to be with her during this troubling turn of events.
The hold she had on the woman went lax as she brushed her fingers through her hair curiously - ah.. soft, beautiful, just as she knew the sky spirits to be. She could... almost... fall - no. No, Xochiquetzal backed up a quick step and turned to the direction of the police station. "...Come." Now, she just waited for her to come. At every step, she paused and turned to look back at the spirit with expectancy before daring another.. and another.. She would have to follow eventually or else this entire trip would take an unnecessary amount of time to complete.

"Wait...no...that isn't...I meant that I really don't have siblings." The woman had clearly misunderstood Angela somehow and was now talking about informing the authorities of...something or other. Angela wasn't sure what. The woman wasn't making much sense. She froze slightly, when the woman suddenly ran a hand through her hair, then suddenly turned and started away, asking Angela to follow. Angela stood there, bewildered. On one hand, she had no idea who this lady was or what she wanted but on the other, she was kind of worried about letting her wander around unsupervised because she was clearly a bit of a nutter. But something she'd said had caught Angela's attention--the authorities didn't often believe her. Which meant that the authorities were familiar with her (it was kind of obvious why they weren't often inclined to believe whatever it was she approached them with), which meant they might know what loony bin she'd escaped from. So Angela decided to follow her, if only to make sure she got back home safely. "You know," she said, starting after the woman. "You've not yet told me your name..." [exits with Xochi]

Gray was having a bit of a stroll down one of the lovely streets in lovely Nirvani. It was still a bit cool but, you know, he didn't mind. It was still a glorious day. More or less. As glorious a day could be when he was alone and not making money. Which wasn't all that glorious, but still somewhat glorious. He supposed. But at any rate, lack of money making aside, he was walking and it was lovely and he had half a mind to start belting out an aria just so he could demand money from anyone who happened to walk by and hear him. But he somehow suspected no one would be willing to pay--even if he did have a fine singing voice, if he did say so himself. Which, he did say so. Because it was true. At any rate, that is the sort of thing Gray was thinking as he strolled down the street with his hands shoved deep in his pockets and a thick scarf wrapped around his neck. At some point, he got so entangled in the circular thought process of considering how to weasel money out of people, then complimenting himself for some random trait (that absolutely deserved complimenting) that he lost all track of where he was or what he was doing. An mournful walrus could have waddled straight up to him and offered him a cup of tea and it was likely he wouldn't have even noticed.

Rather than being silent, Finnian had done nothing but chatter in the short time that passed between them leaving the square to reaching the streets! The moment Tatyana had accepted his arm and allowed him to lead her away, he had felt just the right push to keep him from an awkward silence, though an artless conversation on the most boring things Finnian could think of probably wasn't much better.
“It's true that stamp-collecting may seem an entirely dull and boring – not to mention expected hobby for one like myself – but there is much more to it than that.” No, there wasn't. It was stupid, unless the stamps had some kind of connection to his beloved heroes, but usually they were just scraps of sticky paper to lose. His own opinions aside, he did his best to keep up the ruse of his complete fascination of stamps. But he also had to keep up the ruse that he was an ordinary, honest businessman, which made being too good of an actor hard and probably suspicious to the villainous eye! So, while concentrating on walking the careful line between secretive and forthright, Finnian monotonously rattled off what he remembered from some mild research he had done for his normal-man identity.
“It's a truly fascinating and educational waste- ah, use of anyone's time. Postal history is full of notable heroes – one might call them super in their heroics, such as the gentleman Herpin and his bravery in renaming the traditional hobby to.. uh..” He frowned – oh, blasted! He couldn't remember what that was! It was entirely stupid and pointless, so of course his mind had chosen to replace that nugget of knowledge with something cooler. He couldn't believe how foolish he had been to think someone as awesome as Super Kuiper would bother to remember what in the blazes stamp collecting was called by some dead, boring man centuries ago. Quickly, he had to hide his fumble! “Miss! Look over there!” He jerked his free hand in the direction of the Diner – huh, convenient.

A day of patrolling. Or rather a being told to patrol so he wouldn't be testing his boss'/step-mother's patience. Come to think of it, he had done so a lot this year. Well, he always did but this time it had him patrolling earlier. Not that he minded, he actually liked to roam around these streets. He spent a good deal of his teenage years around there. Who would have thought he'd be an officer a few years later and all that jazz? Still, sometimes he wouldn't mind a little distraction from these calm days. Of course he probably shouldn't ask for that in this island with all the disasters that tend to happen.

Did Julian want some peace and quiet? Pffffft, yeah, right, like he would get that walking down the streets of Sonata Town! Eyes wide, ears perked, and smug grin in place, a woman had been eying the boy's patrol of the streets with some interest. It had been quite some time since she had given him much interest, but she couldn't let the opportunity to slide when it approached. Her niece had a relationship with the kid and her sister-in-law had always been a little.. oddly slack when it came to this one, though she knew very well that Mimi's mother was normally very, very thorough on potential threats. So, what was different with him?
Catrina aimed to figure that out after so many years of ignoring the curiosity as she dropped from the roof of a business a block ahead of him, landing on top of a dumpster with a noise that made her wince. She would have to work on that – but, perhaps he hadn't noticed? The middle-aged woman stilled for a few seconds, before deciding it safe enough to crawl off the dumpster and to edge off to the brick hall. There, she could wait for however long it took Julian to cross her path. At which point, she could jump him and scare the boy for all this exercise in stealth was worth! She tensed up in preparation, eyes wide with excitement as she held onto the wall and listened~

Now Julian would be in for a surprise. But when isn't he really? He had Romane for a step-mother, Mimi for a step-sister, Crazy-Cat-Lady for an aunt, and Miah to go after all the time. It's beyond silly to not expect something crazy. Yet he still did that. Odd little thing. Well Julian continued his lazy stroll through the streets unaware of the extra presence, aside from the occasional zooming like a ghost random NPCs. Those little buggers were hard to chase down. He tried. Many times. However it would be a very rough sound coming from a nearby dumpster that made him stop for a moment. Was someone there? "Ahem." He started, clearing his throat, but then he remembered there might be some wild animals left from a random incident decades ago. Well he wasn't born back then, so he'd go with decades. Though the idea was pretty darn far fetch when he seriously thought about it. In the end, the young officer shrugged off the worry, something his boss would practically him for for such negligence buuuuuuut, he continued on soon approaching a brick hall.

Before she could get her chance, the footsteps approaching had come to a halt and a small sound escaped the man's throat. She froze up, eyes squinting suspiciously as she straightened even further along the wall, nonexistent tail flicking irritably at the prospect of being caught. Catrina wasn't going to jump out and ruin it, though – for all she knew, he had spotted another person or had only paused to cough or anything, really! It was all more probable than Catrina being caught when she was in stalk-mode – trained to be some kind of patrolman or not, Julian couldn't have the same skills one with the spirit of a feline could! Not to mention her personal years as a sleuth – she knew very well how to not be caught. And, just as her pride had informed her, the moment of caution had come to an end. She felt her her lip quirk up into a pleased grin as she went back into her crouched pose – waiting.. waiting..
Just a little closer, boy..
...Now! She pushed off the wall, giving herself a boost enough to speed around the corner and push herself right into the officer with a wild look of excitement. Her hands gripped into the man's shirt, her imagination letting her believe for the moment that her claws had dug into his shirt as she pushed him to the front wall of some nameless business. She would have went further and bit his ear because wrestling was just so fun~ But, however cat she was on the inside, she couldn't forget her manners as the external human she appeared to be! So, she stalled her instincts long enough to say, “Hello, Jewel-Lion~ You're looking handsome today, miyav~”

Trevor had the day off (which wasn't saying much because, as the only vet, he could take off whenever he wanted anyway) so he was spending it with the best girl on the island. His dog. Of course. He and Maggie were strolling quietly down the streets of Nirvani and, because there weren't many people out and he wasn't in a hurry, he was letting her sniff every blade of grass that caught her attention, patiently waiting before she lost interest and started moving again. They had slowly made their way from his house, toward the square though he didn't have a particular destination in mind. He just wanted to get out and get some fresh air. It was the last day of spring but it was still a tad cool down at the beach so he figured a walk in town was better. Though he had a hunch that he and Maggie would be down at the beach before too long because really, when had he ever been able to stay away from the water no matter how cold it was? Stifling a yawn, Trevyn continued to follow Maggie's lead thinking it might be nice to meet someone on the streets, even if it was just for a quick hello...
