CURRENT LESSON charms level 1 charms lesson 3 Accio Pronunciation: Various suggestions have been made, including:/ˈækioʊ/ AK-ee-oh/ˈæksioʊ/ AK-see-oh/ˈæsioʊ/ a**-ee-oh Description: This charm summons an object to the caster, potentially over a significant distance. Suggested Etymology: The Latin word accio means "I call" or "I summon". In the Hungarian translation, the spell is called "Invito", possibly from the word "to invite". An object can be placed under counter-enchantments to prevent it being summoned magically.
Protego Pronunciation: /proʊˈteɪɡoʊ/ proh-TAY-goh Description: The Shield Charm causes minor to medium jinxes, curses, and hexes to rebound upon the attacker. It can also cause a shield to erupt from the caster's wand. This Charm was created by Trevor Poor Suggested Etymology: Latin protego meaning "to protect".Notes: cannot block unforgivable curses .
Incarcerous Pronunciation: /ɪŋˈkɑrsərəs/ ing-KAR-sər-əs Description: Ties someone or something up with ropes.it is used mostly after a battle to make the people who might try to escape be tied up so they won't run Suggested Etymology: English incarcerate meaning "to imprison" or "to confine",via Latin carcer meaning "prison."
Reducto Pronunciation: /rɛˈdʌktoʊ/ re-DUK-toh Description: Enables the caster to explode solid objects. power of the spell is relative to the power of the caster Suggested Etymology: Latin reductio meaning "to explode".
charms level 2 charms 2 lesson 3 Furnunculus curse Pronunciation: /fərˈnʌŋkjuləs/ fər-NUNG-kew-ləs Description: Causes the target to become covered in boils. Suggested etymology: Latin furunculus originally meaning "petty thief" but later used to mean "boil" in English this spell becomes more powerful when mixed with the bat boogey hex and can alter the affect to something unknown when used on malfoy in that combination malfloy was turned into a slimy octopus type thing
Quietus Pronunciation (KWY-uh-tus) Description Reverses the effect of Sonorus, making the caster's voice normal in volume. Can also be used by its self to make you speak very queitly so only those standing next to you can hear you level of quiteness depends on the will of the caster cant be made completly silent with this spell Suggested etymology: "quietus" Latin quiet, peaceful
Sonorus Description Makes the caster's voice carry over long distances. is the counter to quietus the loudness of ones voice can be controlled by the will of the caster Pronunciation (so-NO-rus) Suggested etymology: "sonorus" Latin loud

charms 3 lesson 3 I mpervius (Impervius Charm) Pronunciation: /ɪmˈpɜrvi.əs/ im-PUR-vee-əs Description: This spell makes something repel (literally, become impervious to) substances and outside forces, including water. this spell is not a combat spell it is a spell meant to protect your stuff from liquids use this spell before you go swimming through rivers and your stuff will not be damaged very useful for keeping things such as fire starters quills and parchment Suggested etymology:"im-" prefix from L. not + "pervius" L. letting things through
tarantallegra Pronunciation: /təˌræntəˈlɛɡrə/ tə-RAN-tə-LEG-rə Description: Makes victim's legs dance uncontrollably, so the victim cannot control his or her movements (recalling the tarantella dance). Suggested etymology:"tarantella" It. dance associated with the tarantula, from Taranto, a city in Italy + "allegro" It. fast this is a good spell for distracting and confusing your oppenet or if you really need dance skills you could use it on your self
Rictusempra (Tickling Charm) Pronunciation: /ˌrɪktəˈsɛmprə/ RIK-tə-SEM-prə Description: The subject experiences the sensation of being tickled Suggested etymology: Latin rictus meaning "open mouth", and Latin semper meaning "always". Notes: This spell takes the form of a jet of silver light this spell makes them have to use silent magic which is harder to do it may be a way of countering the quietius spell this is untested in that way
