 Walking along in the Loka nei forest, Adora gazed up to the blue skies above. It was a gorgeous day, with the air warm and the birds singing...why did it have to be so boring? Once again her father had kicked her out from their little house to try and make friends. But she did suppose this was better than his previous stunt of signing her up in the personals ad. She sighed at that thought, shaking her head. What lengths that fae went through to try and set her up. Weren't fathers supposed to encourage the opposite? Emerald eyes flicked down to lock on the horizon, spotting Tuatha Ri lake. There she would sit a little, soak up some sun, and try to make the best of her day. Softly the female started to sing to herself, a nameless, wordless tune made up entirely on the spot.

 Harlequin landed softly on the ground his wings flitted a bit as landed, he glanced around. It was definitely a gorgeous day out but the downside to it was that he would absorb the sun's heat causing him to get hot. He lightly walked towards the shores of Tuatha Ri Lake. At least there he would hopefully find some shade and the water would cool him down. That was the down side being all black with green all over his body. He lightly fanned himself with a hand as he slowly approached the shoreline. He wondered if he would make some new friends, he could use some friends he was still fairly new and going out on a gorgeous day like today would be a good way to go, since he was pretty sure lots would be out enjoying the sunshine.

Breaking out into the sunlight from the shade of the trees, she inhaled deeply the smell of the beach. Her toes touched into the warm sand and she extended her crimson wings into a stretch. It was a fine day. "Mmmmmm, hmmm hmmm mmmm...." She continued to sing, slowly drifting off when she caught a dark figure out the corner of her eye. Her emerald eyes swung over to focus on the object. Oh...An angel. She wasn't alone on the beach it seemed, which was more than fine with her. Instantly the female turned her direction towards the male, a bright smile lighting upon her face. Company would be just what she needed to lift her boredom. "Hello~!" Adora called out, raising her right arm to wave as she approached him.

Harlequin blinked as his eyes adjusted to the bright reflection of the sunlight reflecting off the surface of the water. He then looked around as he heard a voice his eyes focusing on a light pink figure heading his way. He lifted his own right arm up for a wave "Hello" he answered back. Before deciding to wander over to a small cluster of trees seeking out shade. The good news he was right about others enjoying the nice weather, he wouldn't mind the company.

Oh good, the male seemed friendly. Her smile broaded slightly and she quickened her step. A frown kissed her forehead though when he started walking away. Did he not want to talk? But he stopped shortly under the trees. Shade...Not a bad idea. "Hey! Beautiful day isn't it?" Adora slipped under the treeline with him, her right arm lowering to go for a handshake. "I hope I'm not bothering you. It's just I was just thinking how nice some company would be on a gorgeous day like this."

Harlquin frowned slightly,walking away after he said hi seemed really mean and he did not want to give that off. He smiled when she joined him in the shade "I apologize..for saying hi and then walking away...being all black has its disadvantages" he told her politely before answering her question "Yes, it is a beautiful day out today" he agreeded. Before he extended out his own hand to shake hers "No, of course not..I would like the company" he told her before realizing he hadn't introduced himself "My name is Harlequin or Harle for short" he said "and you are?" he asked her.

Apologize...? She laughed softly, shaking her head. "Oh, no trouble at all. I was a little confused, but I get it. I have dark skinned relatives." She shook his hand with a bit of a sweet giggle. "I'm glad I'm not intruding...and I like your name, Harlequin...Would you mind if I called you Quin?" If everyone called him Harle, she would like her own nick for him, for individuality. "My name is Adora. It is certainly a pleasure to meet you."

Harlequin smiled lightly "yeah...sorry about that, that wasn't my intention" he put in with a smile "The company of a beautiful lady like yourself is hardly something to complain about" he told her before answering her question "of course not" he told her. "Pleasure to meet you Adora, such a lovely name and it suits you well" he put in with a grin.

The female lightly blushed at the compliment, tucking a light pink strand of hair behind her ear. "Thanks, Quin." Beautiful lady huh? It wasn't too often she was talked to like that. "What brings you out and about today? My dad pushed me out. Quite literally." She laughed softly, shaking her head. "Stronger than he looks."

Harlequin smiled as she blushed at his compliment "my pleasure, Adora" he said. Before thinking about what brought him out thoughtfully "Mainly, because you can't waste a day like today indoors" he told her before tilting his head to the side "What brings you out and about Lady Adora? other then you know your dad pushing you out literally." he put in. He had never met her dad so he couldn't agree with her on that.

Lady? She could get used to that. "I was thinking of catching some sun, perhaps take a dip in the water...Hey." She slowly grinned, looking a little impish. "Would you like to swim with me? I'm certain the water will be cool and refreshing. With you, I'm sure it'll be a blast."

Harlequin grinned lightly before speaking up "Sounds like you had an idea for what you were going to do" he told her before standing up and stretching before glancing over at the light pink figure "that sounds like an invite to me, and I would be honored to swim with you" he said before taking her hand lightly and walking to the edge of the lake and sliding into the cool water. "ah..refreshing and cool indeed" he told her.

"It is!" The female laughed warmly, nodding encouragingly. Since she hadn't sat down, she watched excitedly as the male stood up. This day was shaping up quite nicely! When he took her hand, the blush started creeping back onto her face. She should have been used to such flirtation from her father, the King of Flirts, but she had only seen such actions. Never really been on the receiving end. It felt warm, and her stomach tickled with butterflies. She glanced to her side at him when they started making their way. Cute, charming, friendly...All the things Adora liked. Throw in some humor and he might just be her knight in shining armor. She shyly dipped a foot into the water, shuddering slightly at the chill. "Very much so!" Adora brought in her second foot. "I'm surprised there aren't any pae here at this side of the beach...it feels like we got the whole area just to ourselves!"

Harlequin chuckles lightly "That is a very true fact indeed" he told her before looking around the area, it was defintely empty and he had nothing against having a space to himself where he could well be himself and enjoy the company. "well...perhaps the area was designed to be our very own..or um...whoevers" he said surveying the cluster of trees surrounding the beach. "perhaps..some prefer to waste the day indoors" he told her. Before blowing out a light breath and sitting back lightly as to not injure his broad feathery wings. He glanced at his wings then at Adora "I'm hoping..my wings don't make swimming impossible for angels" he said thinking about it.

"Certainly is a nice thought." She took another step in, letting the water creep up a little more. At his statement though, the female blinked and turned around to look at him. "Are...you new to the island?" Slowly she smiled, hoping he wouldn't be embarrassed that he didn't know. "Our wings are very sturdy, not like bird wings at all. Keep your wings tight against your body and they'll be just fine." As a thought came to her, her smile faded to be replaced by a light frown. "Since you haven't been in the water...do you know how to swim?"
