History||
Damien Zalias was born to Alexander and Raven Zalias, two young professional demon hunters. He grew up learning all about the trade of his parents (after all, it seemed like a pretty cool job) while taking regular classes. That all changed when he entered high school and his parents moved to Japan of all places, and he met fellow American student Alice Cronaly at his new school. Being two of the few American students there, they were pretty close friends, and that developed into a relationship. It was during this time that he had begun performing exorcisms for people as his beginnings in demon hunting. He still had a lot to learn, as he did not know how to actually kill a demon in any special manner; this was the biggest mistake of his life. He trusted the wrong people and accidentally began an exorcism on a very powerful cat god. A very spiteful cat god.
When he awoke, he realized he was in a crater just big enough for a person. He realized that he felt strangely different, almost more alive. And the voice in his head began to speak. He had been cursed by the cat god, but something had failed: They were now fused together but at a great cost. This cost was the life of someone he held dear, and just like that Alice Cronaly was no more. His unstable emotions triggered the Uchunekokami's ability of dimension warping, where it teleported and used Damien's body to massacre innocents. This occurred until he was saved by a man who was wearing the robe's of a mage. This mage brought Damien back to reality and sent him to a place where he could learn to control his powers more proficiently, and ultimately, use the dimension hopping power to stop himself from becoming the half-human, half-cat god thing he was now.
