Hi there! So I'm aware that we've got a few new members this year, and we don't have an introduction thread any more (if we ever had one).

Most folks around these parts call me PMS. I'm about to turn 22, from England, and I'm also about to be an American Literature and Creative Writing graduate. I mostly write kinds of adult/general fantasy, but I'm branching out into YA and have always dabbled in lots of genres. I have about five novels that I should be working on right now. >_>

My other interests outside of writing are learning, reading, and animals. I have a particular fondness for dogs and cats and am considering trying to work with them in the future.

How about you guys? =D

AAAAAAAAAAH you're younger than me

Hai, I'm Ami. I'm 22 turning 23 in August from Maryland. I work as a registrant for my church's food pantry and have been for the past 5ish years. I'm sarcastic and swear a lot. But it takes a lot for me to be legit mad. I love my coffees and teas and chocolate.

I write mainly action/adventure with a romance subplot, but I'm trying to write fluff with varying degrees of success. My flavor of choice is fanfiction.

I also like to read, watch tv, draw, and playing video games. And I may or may not have a glasses fetish yum_puddi

Hi, I'm Ninja, or Ninji if you would like to call me that. I just turned 24 this month and I'm from Montana. I work at a couple Daycare facilities, but I'm taking classes to become a certified phlebotomist. (Whoever doesn't know what a phlebotomist does, it is the drawing of blood from a needle).

I write mostly fantasy. Can't get enough of it...lol. Besides from writing, I love to do ceramics, hang out with friends, reading (when I have the time to do such a thing these days....lol). I also love anime, mythical creatures, different cultures, movies and video games.

I'm just a baby! I turn 21 in September. My name is Starry Starry Fright, or Starry, for less typing, and I'm from Alberta, Canada. I'm working on a university degree in psychology, and I earn money from freelance writing jobs.

I mostly write fantasy or science fiction YA, and I dream of being a novelist someday. When I'm not writing, I enjoy reading lots of books, playing lots of video games, and marveling at the perfection and simplicity of the common toaster.

Hi PMS, Ami, Ninja, and Starry! I'm glad to see that we're all pretty old here. I'll be 23 in September, and I had been wondering if I would be way older than everyone else here this summer.

Aaaaanyway, I'm Elizabeth, but you can call me Meadow if you'd like. I just finished my undergrad in environmental science, with minors in biology, chemistry, and German. I am employed (at least until the end of summer) as a field researcher at a nature reserve at the very edge of the Appalachian range in Pennsylvania. I moved into my cabin here tonight, and it's wonderfully secluded. I specialize in studying bees (and other bugs), and am hoping to go to graduate school for entomology at some point.

I have waaay too many ideas bouncing around my head, and hopefully this summer will give me a chance to get some work done on some of them. Outside of writing and science-ing, I also enjoy sewing, crocheting, music-ing, writing snail mail letters (if anyone wants to be penpals, let me know), and fangirling over a variety of geeky things.

Anyway, glad to meet everyone (well, re-meet some of you), and hope to get to know you guys this summer! Looking forward to the SuWriMos! biggrin

Hi! :]

Call me Glitter. I'm 24 years old. Good to see some older people here! I live in a small town in Illinois, USA.
I write prose, poetry, pretty much anything that comes to mind. This is my first year doing SuWriMos and I'm stoked!

I like art, music, fashion, spirituality, coffee, dancing, and video games.

Eep! I feel so young now.

I'm Alexandria, recently turned 20. I work in fast food to put my butt through college, and as far as my long-term career goals go I have no idea. At the moment I'm just trying to get my AA and I suppose I'll have to figure it out from there. I tend to deal in character studies and family dramas, but my current project is something a teacher of mine called a "grounded" fantasy, but it's really just another confusingly written character study. On the side I enjoy acting, though most of my free time is devoted to Magic and D&D. By August I expect to have no free time, so I'm somewhat bitterly calling this the last summer of my childhood.

I've been lurking around Gaia for years, but I usually only become vocal during SuWriMos, and even then I tend to vanish halfway through. Here's to hoping that won't happen this year.

Psssh, you guys aren't old, I've been 24 for months now!

Hi all, you can call me Morse, give or take an 'e' if you don't already. I'm one of those writers who only writes in November or over the summer so I'm hoping Gaia will really help keep me going this summer. I'm currently located in Montreal, Canada where I've just finished a Masters in Information and Library Sciences. Which you may be surprised to know I'm departing from and still unqualified to really work in a library xD

This summer I'm hoping to write a dark yet comedic super hero story while job searching for something that pays more then minimum wage.

Uh... hi. I'm Morigale, I recently turned 26, and I'm a depressive sack of cynicism and anxiety.

Whether I actually write anything or not is really dependent on how hot it gets here and whether I have one of my usual 'everything is terrible' fits and hide under my bed for half the month.

What I'm planning to write is, uh... I'll get back to you on that? But it's guaranteed to be much more cheerful than I am, even the post-apocalyptic plot.

Hey all, I'm Neb! I'm 24 years old (just now coming into adult-hood, it feels like)--been writing all my life and am currently working on a military science fiction trilogy called "Beyond the Sun". I'm stationed in Italy right now, with the US Army, and am hoping for some sunnier weather as the summer finally arrives. Anyway, AurinJade managed to drag me over from a defunct writing guild, and so here I am, ready to write!

I remember you from last year! You're the girl with the bug research! biggrin

I am totally up for being pen-pals, if you don't mind springing for postage to Canada.

I'm PK, 23 year old Canadian/American living in Wisconsin nine months of the year. I manage the web presence for a bike store, and used to run a literary magazine in Victoria, BC. I've spent way more time the past few years publishing other people than trying to get myself published, which I'm rectifying with a bunch of projects, some of which I'm self-publishing later this year.

I mostly write urban fantasy and near-future sci-fi, with a heavy emphasis on doing the research.

Oh, I'm also a licensed Emergency Medical Responder in the province of British Columbia. Anyone wants medical accuracy, I can send you notes.
