The final day of training was upon the conscripts and the volunteers. A light day for some perhaps, but a vital day nonetheless. The intangible and the underestimated skills of smooth talking were the order of the day. Paired off with others, partners were to compete against one another – they were given a lie, a story, some fib that needed to spun into the commentary of the group.
As before, everyone needs to roll 3d100s in a single post. However, you may opt to Take 70 in a skill – doing so means you roll 2d100s but this incurs a penalty of -20 to the highest roll. (If a character takes 70 in Lying and rolls 2d100 for 43 and 61, the penalty drops the 61 to a 41.)
Dialogue Training
For Lying – learning the signs of lies as well as how to hide your own and what makes a convincing lie are detailed here. It is important for navigating without intimidation.
For Bluffing individuals are show the technique of a good bluff and when bluffing and initimidation are useful.
For Mingling, individuals are expected to mingle – to make small talk, to learn how to ask small questions that, when added together, build a bigger picture. This is a subtle skill that everyone needs to learn.
