Perhaps seeking the title of 'Jack-of-all-Trades but Master of None', Kettil had decided to pick up a musical instrument to learn how to play. The only question was what could he possibly learn to play? The boil's feet led him through the streets and up to a small music shop called, 'Noteworthy's Musical Shoppe'.
Upon entry there was a small tingle of bells and then Kettil's eyes were filled with wall upon wall of musical instruments and other accoutrements here and there. He suddenly felt overwhelmed by his own ambitions and just sort of stood there as he tried to figure out where to start first.
Should he try the drum sets? A guitar? What? Where? How...?
...It was dangerous for him to go alone.

Hairwolf was a regular customer at any and all music shops in Halloweentown. Especially now that he was a student at Amity, he’d made the stores a sort of second home, at the very least, frequent hangouts. Today he stood at the music sampling area, headphones on as he perused the selection, looking for some good tunes to jam to. But the tinkle of bells caught in his ears and the boil looked up, glancing to see who’d arrived. He didn’t know very many students yet, and he definitely didn’t recognize the boil that stood looking clueless at the wall of instruments. Hairwolf grinned, sliding the headphones from head and sauntering over with a predatory prowl. Sidling up beside the newcomer, he gently bumped into his shoulder, flashing a broad smile. “Hey dude, ‘sup?”

Kettil blinked his eyes a few times as his head turned to regard the boil next to him. The figure next to him appeared pretty friendly, and so Kettil flashed a friendly grin in return, "Not much, compadre. Just tryin' to pick out my new hobby or my new disaster," he laughed a bit.
He turned to look over at the musical instruments once more with a sort of thoughtful look, "See, I sing a little but I never really played before. Seemed like a fun thing to pick up, y'know?"
It wasn't like he had any reason to keep his reasons for being here a secret.

Mikey clapped a hand over his shoulder, looking positively pleased. “Singing is the best instrument, you know! Can’t do a thing without vocals,” he schmoozed, laughing as he turned to examine their musical selection. Truth be told, he wasn’t an instrumental expert. Singing was his strong suit and while he could rip a few chords on guitar or bass, anything else was sort of a mystery. Vaguely he wondered if he should find something new to try. “Guitars are pretty fun… Or you could always bang on some drums. Don’t tell me, you weren’t thinking something…. Classical, were you?

Kettil let the other boil clap him on the shoulders and he appeared to be fairly at ease. There was just something nice about a simple interaction with someone new.
The Muut gazed around at what was open to him, "I like to sing but I can't say it is a career option for me. I mostly sing for select few people," he shrugged his shoulders.
"Was thinking along the lines of a guitar." There was a pause at the idea of classical instruments. There was a sort of short laugh, "Right. We just met but can you really see me on a flute or somethin'? It'd look ridiculous. Not my style."

“Why not duuuude?” he crooned, neglecting to remove his arm from around the other boil’s shoulder. “If you’ve got the gift, you should share it, y’know? Share your beauty with the world, man!” “Though, in a pinch, a guitar is always a safe bet. Creeple love a guitarist, if y’know what I mean,” he grinned, giving the other student a wink before stepping back, and extending his hand. “I’m Mikey by the way, and no, good sir, I think a flute would be complete snoozeville. You need something rockin’, something righteous.”
