This forest area partially hides the Village hidden in the Clouds. While still being high up, the vegetation is scarce and the trees tall. A few animals can be found here, but for the most part this place is desolate other than the plants that can survive in this harsh, higher elevation.

A cold breeze just rolled in.....
Kori led the way, following after the tracks Ryumon had found. Normally, she probably would have enjoyed the journey, being a place she generally liked. The cold weather was pleasant on her skin and the needles around the trees gave off a nice smell. Sadly, she was too focused on rescuing Yuzuki to appreciate their surroundings.
"Keep your eyes open you two. I might miss something so speak up if you see anything out of the ordinary." Unlike her usual tone, Kori's voice sounded tense, as if she was worried. Yuichi would probably recognize it more than Ryumon might.
.....oh wait, that was just my breath.

 Yuichi Shizen Yuichi walked behind Kori prefering to look more for the enemy then at the tracks. The way he saw it if he found the people holding Yuzuki he could find yuzuki by simply making them talk. However as Kori spoke up to keep an eye out he heard the tension in her voice almost immediately. she must be worried... well who wouldn't be I'm worried too... he thought bitterly. Walking up he hesitated for a second remembering the last time he had tried to... well do anything with kori. Still maybe this time he would actually help... here goes nothing he said placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "I-it's going to be alright Kori, we'll find Yuzuki, and we'll save her... I promise." he said trying to reassure her with a kind, gentle smile.

A cold breeze just rolled in.....
Kori almost jumped at the touch on her shoulder. She calmed herself when she realized it was just Yuichi. "Let's find Yuzuki first, ok? I'll feel better when she's with us again." There was no malice in her voice, no snide undertones, nothing. She was just taking a moment to breathe. And she was glad Yuichi had done it. "Thanks Yuichi. I needed that." She turned ahead again as they came around some foliage, looking ahead again.
She was too tired to shrug Yuichi off. She was worried and frightened for her friend. She couldn't break down now though. There would be time to accept her feelings that were threatening to overcome her later. They wouldn't help her right now.

As they rounded the row of trees, they came upon a solitary tree standing in a clearing. The leaves were all gone, leaving the tree barren. The dead tree wasn't the interesting thing though. A doll hung from the branches. Stuck on its front was a note, folded neatly. Clearly it was a message from someone.

 Yuichi Shizen Yuichi flinched a bit as Kori did waiting for a back hand or a harsh word. However he found he had acually been helpful so instead of pushin his luck he nodded in acknowledgement before moving on. As they came across the doll though he stopped. "Hey look at this." he said motioning to the doll and the note on it. He stepped ahead of Kori holding out his arm to stop her from getting any closer. "Let me go, you are better at a distance and I'm much faster then you. If it's a trap of some sort I can move out of the way." he explained before cautiously approaching the doll. Electricity streaked along his shoulders suddenly before he clenched his fist sending a shock of electricity through his body. Better to be prepared after all. Then reaching out he grasped the note.

The note said- Following me are you? Well you'll have to work for your friend. Two more of these dolls are ahead. Survive them and maybe you'll find her.
As soon as Yuichi removed the note, the doll dropped to the ground, let loose from his noose. The rope slid back up the tree and somewhere underneath Yuichi, something groaned. Sharp sword-like pole shot up, completely surrounding Yuichi. They were too high to jump over and their wickedly sharp looking edges glinted with lethality. More rumbling, and the cage of blades slowly began to move inward, closing the area around Yuichi. Above the cage, a wind passed through the dead tree's branches, carrying a faint giggle of delight.

A cold breeze just rolled in.....
Kori looked to where Yuichi pointed. A doll? She started to approach it but stopped when Yuichi held out his arm in front of her. She nodded, agreeing with him. "Be careful, it could be a trap."
She watched him grab the note and was about to call out about its contents, when she noticed the rope slither upwards. "Yuichi! Watch out!" She dashed forward, but was stopped when the blades surfaced from the ground. The edges were sharp on the outside too. She wasn't strong enough to move them anyway. She cursed under her breath, looking for a way to help.
"Yuichi! Are you ok? You need to get out of there!"
The poles began to move inward and she started to panic. She wasn't losing another friend, not now especially when she could help this time. She looked around, looking for some way to assist him. Above them, the tree seemed to laugh at them. The tree! "Yuichi! Use the branches above you!"

 Yuichi Shizen Yuichi looked on curiously as the blades shot up around him. Normally they would be too high for any normal person to jump. Luckily for him he had applied his technique before hand. Hearing Kori mention the trees he nodded. Bending down he braced himself a thin circle of electricity appearing beneath him. Hearing the giggle drift on the wind he grinned, "Don't underestimate me!" he roared and in an instant he was gone high into the air above the blades easily clearing the branches he would have normally aimed for. Then using the branches he moved above the tree tops quickly looking to see if he could spot their prey before descending landing easily on the other side. Standing up straight he dusted himself off. "There are two more dolls with two more traps, I wont be able to use my charge for both or you'll be fighting this person alone." he said calmly.

Kori hurried over to boy, checking his body for any injuries. He seemed to be fine. "You alright? Between you and Yuzuki, I'm going to lose years off my life."
Two more dolls? What after that? She supposed it wasn't important now. This was the best lead they had right now. She turned in the direction they had been going. "Shall we keep going? We'll figure something out as we go."

Yuichi Shizen Yuichi waved off Kori as she checked him for injuries, "I'm fine, i'm fine, wait tht tickles, stop! jeeze." he chuckled. As she mentioned losing years off her life Yuichi smiled, "Awww that worried about me huh? Well don't worry I'm not going anywhere." he teased. Crossing his arms over his chest he leaned on his left foot. "Of course we're going to keep moving forward, we have to. Yuzuki is counting on us to rescue her. If we can't do it who will?" he said calmly.

Kori shook her head, a little embarrassed. "No, you idiot! I just need you to help me out so we can find Yuzuki. I can't do it myself. She turned her back to him to hide her blush of embarrassment.
"Let's just keep moving! We've got to find that next doll." This time, Kori led the way, trying to think of the best way to torture Yuichi later once they got Yuzuki back.

Yuichi Shizen Yuichi nodded following behind Kori, however after a few steps he slowed a bit. suddenly i have a very bad feeling... must be my imagination. he thought brushing it aside with a shrug. Instead he went back to searching for the next doll.

As the two continued through the forest, the trees thicken up before clearing out into another clearing. This one has a large tree with great, ancient-looking roots jutting up from the ground. On its branches were not one, not two, but numerous dolls.
What was this woman playing at now? Didn't she say there were only two more dolls left?

A cold breeze just rolled in.....
Kori stopped as the tree came into view. "Oh what the hell is that?! Didn't you say that there were only two more dolls? What's that mean?"
Kori was getting frustrated with this running around, looking for her friend. She dropped into a light run towards the tree and jumped up over a large root, landing on the other side with a light tap. She continued towards the tree like this, her face frowning and her eyes narrowed.
