if this is caused by bipolar or not. I've had a series of what the doctor and my parents have called 'mini seizures'. I just collapse, and I just have this horrible pain in my head that is both throbbing and stabbing. the lights seem to dim even though there are flashing lights everywhere.

How does someone have a mini seizure? Isn't it basically a seizure or no seizure at all?

Wow. I had somethng similar happen but the diagnosis was stress. The muscles at the back of my head and neck would spasm and I'd be wailing from the pain that spread down my spine and to my eyeballs.

Have you been referred to a specialist yet?

We can't afford it. Can something like this be caused by bipolar disorder?

i thought 'bipolar' was more along the lines of sudden mood swings, or two completely different attitudes, not pain

Ouch. Do you qualify for Medicaid?

I really couldn't tell you... did your medication change in any way before this started?

Extreme moods, yes. Pain, never heard of it happening.

Might be your blood pressure. If you feel slightly dizzy at all the that's what that is.

I agree. It could be stress, it could be meds, or it could be other things driving it up.

Talk to your doctor again, because if yours are anything like mine were, that's no way to live.
