 On the walk heading west, the plantlife and world around you would seem fairly normal; nothing strange, a village here and there; small towns, farms and whatnot. However even from a long distance away you could see what appeared to be almost like.... a green ocean in the distance, to anyone you asked they would say the same thing; it just happened to appear overnight; in fact there had been a waist land there before.

Takeo had followed after Naomi, who led the way to where they had been directed. After a short journey, they arrived to an area that the locals had strangely said had appeared as if overnight. Weirder still, they said the area in question used to be a wasteland.
Takeo turned to Naomi as they approached. "Do you have any information on the area that these people talk about? I have no idea what could have caused something like this."

~Eyes of Ice~  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Naomi shrugged as she gazed about the area. Her eyes were ripe with interest as they scanned the area. She was on guard and ready to make any movement that needed to occur. "You're guess is as good as mine. I've only heard crazy rumors by even crazier people. I haven't really been in this area much." She explained. She reached her hand out to grab at random plant life. They were slightly wet and slimy. It freaked her out a little bit. Naomi wrinkled her nose in disgust while she whiped her hand of her slim thigh. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mitsuko looked around the forest in curiosity. It seemed strange that such a thing could happen overnight yet it seemed as though the forest belonged here. Something to break up all the snow and ice. She looked up and around, taking in the scenery and making mental notes of anything that seemed out of place. "So how will we go about this? Walk around until we find something?" She shrugged. There had been worse plans and their group wasn't big enough to split into teams. She quietly drew the kunai she'd so affectionately been spinning on her finger for the last while once more and gripped it tight.

Takeo shrugged at the girls. Great so they were just as clueless as he was on this mission. He figured they should start exploring around, maybe find the origin of the random forest's appearance. "I suppose we should just check around this place. There must be a place where this originated from or something. This place couldn't have just sprung out of thin air."
Takeo noticed the girl's actions too. Naomi didn't seem too enthusiastic about exploring this area. The damp air of the forest didn't sit well with him either, but a mission was a mission. He was getting a little twitch every time Mitsuko pulled out that kunai. It was a nervous twitch, as if he felt a slight danger. He knew by this point that it was just something she was doing out of boredom, but it didn't make him any less at ease about it.

~Eyes of Ice~ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Naomi sighed and listen to Mitsuko and Takeo. This mission is starting to come along quite slow as of now. All Naomi and the others were doing was taking a nature walk. Not a fun one at that. "Well, we are too small of a group to split up. One of us may get into something they can't handle alone. With that being said, recon in this area is going to take quite a while." Naomi droned. She pulled her hair out of it's holder, she could feel it falling. Sticking the elastic in between her teeth, she redid her hair. Her eyes were still alert and scanning as she did this. Once settled, she looked to the group. "Don't be afraid to speak up about something strange. Even the small things count." Mitsuko suddenly brought her hands together in a quick clap. Her mood had just taken a complete 180. She wore a bright smile now and her eyes lit up. "Well we might as well start looking around right? No sense in waiting around." She said. She kept the kunai in her hand with a firm grip but she started to take a few steps ahead of the other two, running a hand through her hair to get it out of her face She didn't walk blind though, she kept scanning the area as she walked ahead. She was hoping the mood change might help the situation for the team somehow.

Takeo couldn't help but catch himself staring at Naomi's hair as she undid it. He quickly looked around, his Sharingan flaring to life to hide his staring. She was right. This area could be riddled with traps or something worse, an enemy force using this forest as cover. No regular villagers would dare enter this forest without a damn good reason.
"I don't see anything right away out of the ordinary, but I'll let you two know the minute I do." He turned back to Naomi, looking around her as he did after Mitsuko. "Lead the way. I'll take the rear."

She was now in the middle. Usually, she would like to be in the front. Although, in this area, where none of them really know anything about this place, she let it slide. Naomi let her Sharingan activate. She wanted to be on guard in such an unfamiliar place. She saw that Takeo had done the same and was glad for that. She wasn't sure if Mitsuko had followed suit. "Mitsuko, keep on your toes since you are in the lead, okay?" She reminded the girl. Naomi's, now red instead of the usual ice blue, fluttered about the forest, in every nook and cranny. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Don't worry about me, I got my eyes peeled." Mitsuko said, she spun around and flashed a smile and a thumbs up at the two. But when she looked she saw the two of them had their Sharingans scanning the area, so she turned back around quickly and resumed walking. Since she didn't have hers, she'd have to pay extra close attention and hope she didn't drag the group down.
She continued to walk forward at a reasonable pace, but kept specific attention to the ground. With all the trees and dead leaves it would be simplistic to hide a trap among the foliage, or even a trip wire across the branches. "So are we looking for anything specific or...?"

As the two Uchiha's Sharingan activated the area would seem to become blindingly bright. If the chakra of a person was described as a glow, to them, it would look like this Forest was the sun itself.
Other then that the only thing that would seem odd was the fact there was not a single animal too be seen. No mice, Birds, deer, anything.... it was as though this place was a desert made of tree's.

Deactivating her Sharingan, mostly out of sheer pain, she rubbed her eyes and stopped in her path. With a surprised gasp, she turned around to face Takeo with watering eyes. "I hope I'm not the only one that just happened to! What was that?' She asked stunned. Once she calmed down, she wiped her eyes one more time and looked to see if the others were okay. It was certainly unexpected and blinding. She hoped she hadn't damaged her eyes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Takeo squinted as his vision became unusually bright. Blindingly so. Takeo, who had stared at many a fire and at the sun occasionally, found this to be a similar experience, but on a larger scale. He closed his eyes, deactivating his Sharingan as well. He opened his eyes slowly, more used to the effects of a harsh light on the eyes. "Well, now we know something at least. This forest was made by someone through chakra. I don't know how, but that kind of thing only occurs when someone's chakra is flowing through it."
Takeo's vision slowly turned back to normal and he blinked a few times, mimicking Naomi's stop. "Did you notice there's nothing around us either? Not a sound of life anywhere......" Takeo shivered, remembering the eerie feeling he had gotten in the Chunin exams only a little while ago. Nothing was around them that was alive, except for them. "Are you alright?", he asked, noticing Naomi wasn't doing so well with the eye shock.

Mitsuko twirled around at the sudden gasps behind her, her hair whipping around back into her face. She wore a puzzled look on her at this point, not knowing what was going on and being spared the blinding light the other two faced.
"You two okay?" She asked, walking back over to them and noticing both of them having problems with their eyes. "You look like you both stared into the sun too long."
As Takeo mentioned how quiet it was around them, she noticed it, albeit for the first time now she stopped talking. There wasn't even the sound of any bush moving, no bugs chirping or animals moving around. Bumps ran up her neck as she paid more attention to it. "We can sit down for a minute, might be better to form a plan?"

~Eyes of Ice~ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Naomi blinked her blue eyes a few more times before they finally were relieved of pain. She sighed in relief that she wasn't the only one this happened to and that she wasn't crazy after all. Naomi then nodded at the two of them, confirming her state of wellness. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just spooked a bit." She murmured the last bit. At the idea of how silent it was in this forest, she finally took real notice to it. She had previously thought it was because of her concentration giving her tunnel hearing. Mitsuko's suggestion to wait and sit for a bit seemed like the only option at the time so Naomi complied. "I agree. We are really getting nowhere fast, so we might as well take a break and regroup."
