Dohi had finished her little 'conference' with Yinehi, and was feeling the burn behind her ears. She had probably wandered from her father and grandfather a bit too early, and they were probably looking for her. As she neared the time when she would take over her aunt's position of alu'nadi, the pressures of what it would mean overtook her. Sharing bits of gossip with her sister helped make Dohi feel more normal, and not the future clan mother. Her bright pale green eyes darted around as she looked for any signs of Skan or Tawa'di. So far, so good. Suddenly, something caught her eye. That colour that had become a strong sign of her grandmother's genes, as well as being unique to the Bird Clan. "Tsi-Tsi!" she cried out, her attention focused squarely on him. Surely if she was in an in-dept conversation with her brother, Father and Grandfather couldn't be too upset that she had sneaked away for a while...

The yellow lion nearly jumped out of his fur at the sudden, unexpected and oh-so-unwanted voice. Damnit! How the hell was he supposed to go and meet lionesses - specifically those unrelated to him in any way - if he kept getting caught by family members!? Admittedly, Dohi wasn't the worst by far, but that didn't mean he wanted to be sidetracked right now! Actually, maybe this could work out in his favor. If either parent wandered by while they were talking, how could they possibly get in trouble? That way, nobody would know what Tsi-Tsi had been trying to do. On the flip side, he wouldn't get it done. "Uh...hi, Dohi," he replied, heart still pounding from the shock she'd given him. "What's up?" His tone was nervous and pushy at the same time - the boy wanted this conversation over so he could continue sneaking out!

When Dohi got closer, she realized that she had scared him. She snickered a little, amazed that he had been so jumpy. Well, perhaps he was doing something he shouldn't quite be doing, but neither was she. Beyond the bit of laughter, she didn't say anything further about his body language.
"I figured that...well, to be honest, I'm avoiding some training right now, but it looks like you might need some help with something?" She shoved his shoulder gently, but playfully, trying to rile him up just a bit. This might make the conversation seem more lively, and perhaps a bit more genuine.
"Or did I just catch you at a bad time?" she asked carefully, wondering if maybe she really did just startle him out of the blue. Whoops.

Tsi-Tsi made a face. That was just what he didn't need - a sister laughing at him. Why did he have so many of the confounding creatures in his life anyway? One would have been more than enough. Whatever. Dohi was here now, and there was nothing he could do about it.
"I don't need your help," he retorted. "But if you're not in training and I'm...well, not where Mom and Dad expect me to be, maybe we should just move on and pretend nothing happened?"
Yeah...he didn't really want to tell her what he was up to. But he'd keep in mind she'd been ditching her "duty"...after all, that's what siblings did...right?

"Really? No help at all?" Dohi did her best to not look too crestfallen. Helping is what the clan mother did, and she hadn't been doing too much helping lately, just learning. "Well...if you need anything, you'll ask me, right?"
Perhaps she needed to act more responsible, but that got a little old after a while.
"Move on...? You're up to something," Dohi grinned. "That's ok, I've been snooping around for gossip anyway, so I guess we're even if we keep it between ourselves." And Yinehi, but Tsi-Tsi didn't need to know that. Girl business only.

The yellow lion gave his sister a disdainful look. Why would he ask her for anything? She was his sister...how could she forget that? He certainly couldn't.
But that expression changed quickly enough as the brown adolescent pounced on his accidental slip. "What? No! I'm not up to anything!" Tsi-Tsi denied his actions vehemently. The last thing he wanted to do was admit anything to a sister of his! They had a rather annoying ability to ferret things out he'd sooner have forgotten and he certainly didn't want his escapades to be dinnertime discussion...again.
"You go snoop for gossip elsewhere," he told her, tail lashing angrily.

Dohi's ears flattened against her skull, surprised at how angry Tsi-Tsi got at her. Honestly, a huge part of her wanted to snap back at him, but her training forced her to school herself. She wouldn't give into that rash action, but instead do her best to stay calm. It wasn't easy, and she knew she had a long way to go before she had better control over her emotions, but damn, she hadn't expected this!
"Well, alright then," she replied carefully, realizing that Tsi-Tsi probably wanted nothing more to do with her right now. He clearly didn't want to hear what she had heard, and he probably wouldn't be very interested, anyway. Politics, even in a peaceful pride like the Ela'wadiyi, could get sticky.
"I'll go find Makal or something....just don't get into trouble, ok?" she said, with a soft frown on her face, but her eyes a touch hardened as she looked him over again.

The boy's expression softened as Dohi stopped pursuing the issue. He didn't mean to get so angry with her, but he wasn't ready to really share what he was up to with any family member. Then again, he had to admit, if only to himself, that he might never be ready to share this sort of thing with any of his family.
"I won't get into trouble," Tsi-Tsi reassured his sister. "You know me, right?" The adolescent paused, rethinking that last sentence. "Actually, wait. You do know me..."
Whoops.

Dohi's ears softened, and she relaxed a bit. At least he didn't clearly hate her, he just wanted her to not even look into whatever it is he was hiding from her. She sighed softly to herself, figuring that it hopefully wasn't too bad. Tsi-Tsi himself said he wouldn't get in trouble, which was promising...
"Don't forget about our older brothers, if you don't want me to help you! I'm sure Makal or Dalu or someone wouldn't mind." Her ears flashed towards him again, but she was being more careful with her words now. "I guess I'll go look for Asequu or Usdi'awi, I haven't seen them since early this morning. Have you?" She figured at this point she might as well check in with her siblings before trudging back to Skan and Tawa'di.

Tsi-Tsi had opened his mouth to reply when Dohi reminded him about the fact that they did have older brothers. Older male brothers, who had experience that they might be willing to share with a younger brother. Much like Tsi-Tsi.
Okay, maybe sisters weren't as useless as he'd thought.
"Uh, have you tried the den yet?" he answered distractedly, still considering the possibilities of what advice Makal and Dalu could offer.

"....if they're still hiding in there, they're certainly going to get a stern talking to. They shouldn't be that lazy!" Dohi huffed. Sure, she was having a bit of a lazy moment right now, but she'd been out since dawn!
"Thanks Tsi-Tsi, I'll go check. See you later," she said with a wave of her tail, intent to check out the den first before figuring out what else she'd do. Maybe Mother would be there, and she could get some information from her.

"Uh...sure. Later," Tsi-Tsi replied, watching her go. Why would their siblings get a stern talking to? Sure they should be out and about for part of the day, but why wouldn't they be allowed back afterwards?
Eh, whatever. He should be getting back to his own personal...mission.
With that thought in mind, the yellow lion snuck off. Successfully, this time.
