Myrina had been in the Ela lands for some time now and she found herself enjoying what the pride had to offer. She had found her one true love and soul mate Witu as well as a permanent home. Bonus was not many felines were accepted that easily into Ela lands and to think she was one of the lucky few to be here. Her! It was like a dream come true and though the thought of her past was disheartening Myrina wouldn’t let that sadness consume her to the point it affected her future. No, today will be a relaxing one full of lazing about in the sun as well as possibly a quick hunt for food. Witu had gone off for a little while with some friends and so she was left to her own devices for now.
Mala was so freaking hot. SO HOT! Why had the water changed so drastically! One minute the white stuff was falling from the sky and now the sun was causing heat stroke with its deadly rays! Luckily there had been enough shade provided by the trees… for now. Looking up ahead, Mala squinted and sighed as she noted the lack of trees over the horizon. “Wonderful. Just perfect, what I need really! BRING IT ON!” The last part was shouted angrily towards the sky. Of course those words were tempting fate she knew better but enough was enough. Heat stroke was not a good thing to have! If Mala had paid attention she would have been able to step out of the way of incoming fruit that was hurtling towards her at a quick speed.
Purring in delight Myrina took her time with finding the perfect place to lounge. The downside of this location was the lack of mud, but that was due to the change in weather. The heat was something fierce today and it was not letting up. Suddenly a shout caused her to jerk her head in the direction of the noise. “What the hell?” Her heart pounded. What if the Ela’s were under attack? Myrina had seen a feline war before and it had not been pretty. Nervously she looked back and forward. What to do…what to DO? Maybe a quick and secretive peek. Good way to hone her hunting skills. She cautiously made her way towards the sound what was coming from the border area. “Dang.” Myrina winced as she arrived just in time to see another lioness get knocked out by a fallen fruit. What a weird accident…and she had to admit a funny one too.
One minute she was conscious and the next minute nothing. Absolutely nothing but blackness/darkness could be seen. Mala moaned and tried to open her eyes. She didn’t know how much time had passed or what the hell happened. All she knew was that her head was killing her! The constant pounding caused little waves of dizziness. Ouch. Ouchouchouchouch. She held still for a moment and tried to pry her eyes open. Another set of eyes caused her to jerk back… a motion she regretted. “s**t.”
Ever the tender heart Myrina sighed and moved closer to see if she could help the other one out. “This is not how I pictured spending the rest of the day…I hope you aren’t too heavy.” Grunting she picked the other one up and moved her closer into the shade. Myrina blinked the other lioness certainly had a mouth on her or maybe it was just the situation that was bring out the worst. Either way Myrina knew she had not seen this lioness around Ela therefore making her an outsider. “Are you alright there stranger?”
Mala cautiously moved her head slowly upward to take in who was speaking to her. “Y-yeah,” She moved a paw to touch the place that was throbbing. “Just need to rest for a bit is all. What…did you know what happened?” She eyed the other wearily. What if it had been the other lioness that attacked her…then again she wouldn’t have bothered to ask if she was alright.
She almost let out a laugh; it really was a funny thing to mention. “Um, well you got brained by a fruit to be honest. It must have had a really hard shell to knock you out for a few minutes.” Myrina looked up above just in case another was loose and fortunately enough that had been the only fruit in the tree. She looked back down, “Since you are talking I would assume you are going to be fine. It will hurt for a bit but that is only natural. Oh, I don’t know if you were aware of this or not but you in Ela pride lands. Strangers usually are not welcomed.” She hurried on when a look of shock crossed the others face. “Not that I am threatening you or anything but usually you need to be welcomed here first… which is somewhat rare.”
"E-ela's huh?" She had never heard of such a place. Maybe they were a private pride one that didn't mingle much. Then again Mala had yet to travel all over the lands yet. There was still so much left to see. Mala eyed the land around here cautiously was it just this lioness or was there more out there? Then she heard the rest of sentence. "Oh I see yeah... most prides are usually like that. You need entrance before exploring the lands fully. Um, that's why I am in the rogue lands for now." Mala wouldn't mind being in a pride it's just one had yet to catch her attention. "I'm just going to lay here for a little bit before moving on. It would seem the affects of the ... gosh the-" She giggled. Beaned by a fruit that certainly was a new one. "-fruit hitting me are beginning to wear off."
Myrina eyed the other female before nodding. "Alright then if you say you are fine then that is that." She looked back to the heart of Ela land before speaking. "I would not stay too long this area can get pretty cold at night. I would welcome you in here but as I am new to the pride I do not want to upset the status within the pride. "
"Naw, its fine." Mala blinked cautiously and nodded at the advice. "I plan to leave soon like I said. There is still much I want to discover." Those words seemed to make the other relax. The lioness said her goodbyes before heading back inward. "Farewell." Mala closed her eyes to chase away the lingering dizziness. "Now seems like a good time to think of the future." Getting up with a groan Mala stood for a minute before heading away.
