After her win against the Ysali dragon Tilawen felt it was time to test her skills against another. Sure she couldn't beat it with brute strength but she had proven to herself she could beat it with brains. So she was on the hunt, after all she hadn't seen any other dragons beside the original one that was stalking her since she had first come across it. There must be others about and she intended on finding it and killing it.
Her hunt was short lived as she found one almost an hour into her search, and though she clutched her branch in her hand she didn't attack it immediately. She watched it, curious as it went about its normal routine. Sitting in a bush she watched as it went out to hunt and then came back the creature mangled so badly she couldn't tell what it had been originally. What was even stranger was that it began to rip pieces of the creatures apart into much smaller pieces.
What a curious thing for it to do, and instead of attacking the young girl couldn't help but watch wondering just what it was doing. It was now...calling out its attention on the cave that was nearby and Tilawen realized with a shiver it was not alone. What if both these dragons decided to come after her? She barely survived against one...
Unable to look away she spotted a dragon yes..but it was small...much smaller and there were several of them. Hatchlings..no bigger than the egg Junjie had at his place. Ah....oooh...that was ...ah..
Tilawen felt...strangely remorseful about the fact that she had intended on killing this dragon, it was a mother and it was only trying to feed its babies. The longer she watched it though that feeling started to fester, bitterness was taking over. A dragon could take better care of their children than her own people.
Annoyance she discovered her jaw was aching she had been clenching her teeth so hard without even realizing it. Slowly..she backed away unable to watch this touching scene anymore else it would make her really want to kill them. It took her quite awhile to get up the nerve to go home...and a lot longer to return to her normal quiet state.
