Location: a swamp somewhere. Not deep in, but... far and too far from home (moonglade herd territory) RP'ing: Fera and Zangar Some scout she was. She had been trotting along at a good pace. She knew she should just give it up. She had lost her trail on that spectre a while ago. She was sure it was a skinwalker of some kind, but everytime she was close enough to discover any truth about it. She no sooner would discover it was long gone without a trace. Was she just being led along like in a game? Was someone toying with her? Was this all it was from the very beginning? Was she even really following anyone anymore? She couldn't say one way or the other. She had been feeling stubborn for two weeks as to whether she was really picking up on some fresh tracks or signs of it passing by.
It was the darknening of trees and the murky waters that told her she wasn't even close to home anymore. Part of her thought perhaps it was just best to turn around and just walk the other way. Truthfully, she wasn't sure which direction any which way was. Maybe she just ought to see if she can find someone to help her figure out where she was for starters. Yes. That might be a good place to start as any. After all, a journey starts with one step; just as her journey here did.

Zangar wasn't sure what it was about swamps..but he always seemed to run across mares within them. It wasn't really a bad thing..the desolate murky location always seemed like the prime place to offer a bit of friendly company. He rarely ever got turned down in such situations - which is probably why he tended to travel through them so often. Hey..if it worked it worked right?
Despite this past penchant for running across mares in such places Zangar was none the less always surprised when he rounded a corner to find one before him. Someday maybe..he'd start to expect it. "Well hello there Miss." He greeted the unexpected mare with a warm smile as he came to a stop a little bit away so as not to make her unduly nervous. "I hope you don't take offense...but you don't look like the type to wander through swamps often, your far to pretty for such places."

Fera silently swore to herself upon feeling a tad startled at being approached this way. She didn't notice him coming, and that was her second fail. Shouldn't a scout always hear others coming? Maybe she needed a new post when she returned. She could travel for long distances just fine. She could run away like the best of them. She had lived through a couple of close shaves in her lifetime. Her pride then smote her, and yet she didn't want to come off as rude or brash. She looked up at him sheepishly. "Well, then you'd be right. That's not to say that I've never been through any swamps ever in my life. Only just that it's been quite a long time. I guess I got too focused on something I was chasing. I suddenly realized... in this place. I cannot tell which way is north or south."
She then stepped up to stand closer towards him. He so far seemed friendly enough. If he was someone danger, the vibes would surely roll off of him right? "I suppose it would have been an exciting adventure except for getting lost. Not being able to find your way out is a bit more frustrating than it is exciting." She flicked her tail at herself. She ignored the being too pretty sometimes. She thought to herself, yeah right... She had met far too many soquili both in her herd and outside who were by far much more prettier girls. She was plain, ordinary, and rather tomboy'ish. What boys honestly found that to be pretty.
