Bio: The grandson of the man who was in charge of the American version of the Digimon Digital Pets. A quiet brainiac with a ridiculous amount of interest in technology.

Shadow promptly joined Sandra in the middle of the lake, though he didn't scream like she did. Instead, he quickly surfaced, looking around cautiously.
Unlike Christa, Leo had a rather fast reaction time, managing to maneuver himself midair so he landed on his feet. He was dressed in his usual baggy green camo pants with lots of pockets, white muscle shirt, and military boots, as well as a green bandanna on his head. He immediately noticed the girl, helping her to her feet. "You okay there?" he asked even as his eyes darted around in search of any possible enemies.
Sparky similarly yelped as he was deposited in the forest. He heard a scream and quickly rushed toward it, soon finding the girl dangling off a high branch. "Go ahead and let go - I'll catch you," he called to her, positioning himself under her so he could do just that.

"My friends call me Sparky, and given the way you're dangling, I don't think you have much of a choice!" Sparky shot back, both his voice and his expression concerned. "Just let go, I promise, I'll catch you!" Of course, he didn't notice the small bee-like thing or the metal mouse-thing watching him with interest from some nearby bushes.
Shadow rolled his eyes and began swimming as well, quickly passing her even as he called to her, "You'll get to shore faster if you stay calm and do more measured strokes." Admittedly, the tone in which he said it wasn't exactly nice, as if she were some sort of annoyance, but it was the thought that counted, right? Either way, he soon got to shore, only to be knocked to the ground by what appeared to be a small yellow-and-red bird thing that was yammering excitedly at him, a calmer and more quiet small black dragon-thing standing off to the side and watching.
Leo shrugged, still scanning the area. "I'm fine - I've taken harder impacts in training, and I managed to land on my feet anyway." He suddenly stiffened and instinctively threw one of his knives in a seemingly random direction.
The small missile-thing and the small frilled blob quickly dodged out of the way, the knife stabbing into a sand dune behind them. The missile quickly took it upon itself to fetch the knife and return it to the boy before it saluted in a surprisingly militaristic fashion, seemingly not noticing the way Leo was quirking an eyebrow. "Excellent throw, sir! Missimon, reporting for duty, sir!" it barked, standing at attention as much as a talking missile could.
Cue Leo's other eyebrow joining the first above his hairline even as the frilled blob muttered something about Missimon being a suck-up.

Fortunately for her, Sparky was a boy of his word and quickly caught the girl - coincidentally, the position in which he caught her was bridal-style. He smiled to her. "You okay there?"
It was at that point that the bee-thing came out, landing on a nearby rock and watching the two with interest, waiting patiently for them to finish up.
The mouse-thing scurried out and joined his friend, similarly watching, though with a more calculating look.
Shadow ignored the girl and quirked an eyebrow at the weird creatures, ignoring the chicken's nonstop babble about how "It's so nice to finally meet you and we're gonna be bestest friends and where are your wings" and turning to the dragon. "So, what the ******** are you lot supposed to be?"
The dragon grinned at him, showing sharp teeth. "Umbrella term's Digimon. I'm BlackGigimon, the hyperactive chicken's Chicchimon. We're your partners. The name changes with the form, but we'll let you in on the other forms' names when they happen."
Leo looked around, getting another one of his knives ready just in case before returning his attention to Missimon. 'Well, if this thing - Missimon, was it? - listens to me, then...' "All right, brief me on what's going on here, soldier!" he barked, using a voice similar to the one his father used when training him or troops.
It seemed to work, because Missimon just stood even more at attention. "Yes, sir! Your current location is in the Digital World, a world made of data. Since you are the first humans to be allowed entry in a long time, you have been assigned soldiers to command. Frimon and I are your soldiers, Dorimon and Kyokyomon are the girl's, sir!"
Frimon cut in at this point. "Not soldiers, partners, remember? There's a difference!"
Missimon immediately turned to Frimon and glared. "Be that as it may, he has the right to order us around in a battle, and I prefer a firm and well-established chain of command, therefore I consider myself his soldier."

Sparky noticed the way Evelyn was looking at him and resisted the urge to blush himself, though he did give her a reassuring smile to help her calm down. Then the Digimon came, and he was rather startled, though instead of dropping Evelyn as most would he found himself holding her a little closer to protect her.
Then the bee flew over, landing on his shoulder. "Hey, you know, when you two are like thizzz, you look kinda like a prinzzzezzzzzz and her knight in techie armor! Are you two a couple?" He asked with a grin, oblivious to the fact that Sparky was blushing a little at his words.
The metal mouse scurried out, rolling his eyes. "I apologize on behalf of the others for startling you," it greeted the two humans calmly. "I am MetalKoromon, and my overeager companion is Puroromon."
Puroromon pouted, which was... a little disturbing-looking, to be honest. "I'm not overeager, you're juzzzt boring!"
MetalKoromon ignored that, instead looking at the two humans calculatingly a moment before speaking again. "Come. We still need to meet up with the others." With that, it began scurrying away,
Shadow pretty much ignored Sandra's glares as he stood, the bird falling off of his chest. "All right, BlackGigimon, since you seem to be the easiest to tolerate out of your little group of friends, mind telling me where we are and where the safest place around here is?" he asked bluntly.
BlackGigimon quirked an eyebrow. "Trusting me already? From what I've heard, that's a bit out of character for you."
Shadow smirked. "If you wanted to kill us, you would've done so already. With those chompers of yours, all you'd need to do is a quick bite to the right spot."
The dragon chuckled again, not bothering to deny it. "You're in the digital world, and safety is a bit difficult at the moment, but I know a spot that's at least somewhat safe. Follow me." With that, he began walking away, Shadow and Chicchimon following, none of the trio bar Chicchimon caring if the other three followed.
Leo rolled his eyes in amusement, dropping the commanding-officer act for the moment (at least to an extent) as he firmly picked his two digimon up to stop their argument. "All right, that's quite enough infighting. Any of you lot know the way out of this desert?" he asked, glancing between Christa's Digimon and his own.
Missimon nodded sharply. "Yes sir! We can even lead you to the rendezvous point."
Leo blinked. "Rendezvous point...?"
Frimon grinned. "C'mon, you didn't seriously think that you two are the only ones here, right? We gotta take you to meet up with the other humans and their Digimon partners."

Puroromon, of course, had an objection to that. "Don't be ridiculous! Everyone knows that the great Puroromon is the best of all!" he declared, puffing up his little chest.
Sparky couldn't help but grin at that, hiding it under his hand.
Of course, it was at that point that MetalKoromon contributed to the conversation. "All your claims of superiority are illogical. Digivolution line projections indicate none of you have a fifth digivolution, and several of the others do." Naturally, that put a rather large puncture in Puroromon's ego, causing him to settle into a state between sulkiness and horror and forcing Sparky to shake a little as he suppressed his laughter. "However, Puroromon, if it is any consolation, the projections also indicate that your Mega form will have the highest speed and stamina out of all of us." That seemed to mollify the bee.
Sparky was a little puzzled for a moment, but quickly realized that this whole "Digivolution" thing must be some kind of metamorphosis and left it at that, figuring it'd be fully explained later. "And your best quality would be...?"
"I have the largest brain capacity out of the group, unless one of the others spontaneously sprouts a supercomputer for a brain" came the reply, calm, collected, and... yes, with just a hint of smugness.
Shadow, meanwhile, just kept ignoring the girl, instead talking with BlackGigimon. "So... there any more humans with Digimon partners?"
BlackGigimon nodded. "Yep. In fact, that's where we're going."
Shadow frowned. "Are they at least tolerable to be around?"
The small dragon shrugged. "No idea about the humans. MetalKoromon and Missimon are okay, though, though the first is a bit of a know-it-all and the second is a bit too tightly wound for my taste."
"Aw, c'mon, don't be like that!" Chicchimon piped up. "I thought you had a crush on Moonmon?"
BlackGigimon sighed. "And that's something he didn't need to know."
Shadow grunted, looking a little amused, before a thought occurred to him. "...So, out of this group you mentioned, who's the strongest?" Best to know in advance so that he didn't try to piss whoever it was off.
BlackGigimon got a vicious grin at that. "Well, technically speaking, we're all at the second-weakest level power we can be at... well, except for MetalKoromon, but he had the brains to make up for it... but I CAN tell you which of us has the strongest fully-matured form. And you won't believe me."
Sadow quirked an eyebrow. "Try me."
"Chicchimon."
Shadow paused mid-step and looked down at the little chick. Chicchimon looked right back with the naive, innocent, and clueless look that it always had. He then looked over at BlackGigimon even as he resumed walking. "...I call bullshit."
BlackGigimon just sighed. "Yeah, I know... we're hoping that he'll get more mature once he reaches Rookie form - the next stage of power," he added to clarify himself.
"I will!" Frimon immediately volunteered.
"No, I will! I can lead the way far better than an insubordinate blob!" Missimon declared, glaring at Frimon. Frimon glared right back, and you could practically see the sparks flying between them.
Leo sweatdropped and sighed as the two digimon started fighting childishly. "Well, you have to admire the enthusiasm, at any rate," he muttered just loud enough for Christa to hear him.
