Richard BlackstoneLocation: In one of the many upper levels of his building.
Status: Looking out over the new city scape. The day had begun normal enough. A simple meeting or two, a few business calls, a charity organization asking for hand outs... the usual mundane day-to-day activities before noon rolled around. After which, the man sitting behind the large black marble desk was free to do as he seen fit. He had been expecting a call from one of his funded laboratories, but... the call was late. Very late.
Richard Blackstone sat behind his black marble desk, the light from the large picture windows behind his him casting a grim shadow across the room. The walls of his office were black marble, and the floor white stone with gold flecks. The curtains and large velvet chairs were a deep crimson red, and the frames and decorations around the room were gold.
He stared up at a white and gold clock hanging above his office door. His black eyes watching the second hand tick around in circles. Growing irritated at how late the call was becoming, he sighed and leaned back into his chair. His expensive black and red tux stretching across his strong build. He ran his hand through his black hair, then set it back down on his arm rest. His fingers tapping against the hard wood as the rings on his fingers glittered from the light of the window behind him.
A moment or two later, the large oak doors groaned and parted.
”Sir?” a woman said from behind the doors.
”Come in Miss Danvers.” Blackstone said as he looked towards the doorway.
The door groaned again as a thin shapely figure passed between it. A woman with long, wavy brown hair and a dark blue business suit stepped into the room. She adjusted her black rim glasses and stepped to the side of the door without closing it.
”I think there's something you should see, sir.” she said, looking back at her boss.
Blackstone looked at her for a moment, then slowly pushed his chair away to stand up. He moved around his desk and followed his assistant out of the room. The two walked down the large hallway and towards the other end of the building. The woman then opened the first room they came to, and moved so that Blackstone could move past her and into the room. Which... was empty. It wasn't until the woman moved past him and motioned towards the large window that he noticed it.
The city skyline was... different. He hadn't noticed it from his office... but then again he wasn't facing his window much that day at all. There was a tall silver tower not far from his building. Along with another tall building he didn't recognize with the words “Fisk” towards the top of it. There were several other buildings that he knew were never there before. And there was... what looked like another city nearly attached to New York.
”....what is that, Charlotte?” he asked as he moved closer to the window.
”We don't know sir.” the woman replied, looking out the window as well.
”It... seems as though it just grew overnight. All of them.”
