Sin decided to head down to the lake and enjoy a good long swim, to relax after a string of classes and to work out. Jogging twice a day was her usual routine, but the pumpkin sun cast such a delightfully eerie glow warming everything that the lake seemed a better choice. She took a bit in changing into her swimsuit and then picking the perfect accessories, the right designer glasses, the perfect towel, a wrap, low heeled shoes. Then she debated putting her hair up in front of the mirror before letting it be and heading out, or she'd never make it down there. She arrived and gave her towel a quick snap laying it on a sandy patch of weeds and grass and slipping off her shoes.
She looked around as she undid her wrap and wondered idly how Calder was doing. All too often when she swam she thought of the boil and his issue and wondered if she'd helped him really overcome it or just suppress it, and if it really mattered either way? Of course thoughts like that led her to thinking about contracts, which made her think of classes, her future, her shortcomings...ugh it made a ghoul tense. She headed down and tested the waters trying to banish too serious thoughts from her mind.
Everything seemed serious though...but she couldn't let herself turn into a frumpy shut in. Time to have some fun and be a social ghoul like she used to! Hmm...maybe she should have tried to drag Rosc along, Jack knew her boilfriend needed some socialization and fun time.
She waded in deeper adjusting to the cooler temperature of the Lake and paused as she spotted a familiar figure in the distance. Was that Yaya? She raised her hand and smiled giving her a wave. Was she okay after what had happened? Not the attack of those shadows, though of course Sin hoped she hadn't been injured. Yet the more serious concern in Sin's opinion was what had happened between her and Sharra...and that other boil. Something had been going on and Sin hoped it hadn't been too bad for Yaya, the ghoul had always been sweet to her and she'd hate to see her upset.

It was indeed Yaya he succubus caught sight not to terribly far away. The ghoul was moving through the lake with the sort of easy that came all to naturally to those that shared an affinity with water. She'd always been a great swimmer, but as her abilities grew she could easily control the water to propel her faster, and more smoothly, as she partook in an afternoon work out. She wasn't usually one for exercise, but you could easily find the ghoul at least three times a week at the lake or the pool. When she spotted Sin as the other ghoul waved, Yaya slowed to a stop and grinned, returning the greeting before changing direction to head back to shore. Raising from the softly lapping waves as she neared the little beach, the thigh deep water that shoulder have hindered every step instead seemed to part and swirl away to leave long, tanned legs unrestricted. She was wearing a blue bikini that perfectly matched the cerulean glow of her eyes. A strapy little number with paisley print designs that followed every lovely contour. In her own way she strove for appearance and beauty. Her accessories and suit weren't designer, but the hints of gold and blue shaded gems complimented the djinn to perfection. Even the water the streamed along henna traced skin was just another accessory to the ghoul. Her hair was once more in the thick braid she had taken to wearing of late, and it flowed behind her like some black bodied serpent cutting through the water. The last time Hadiyya had seen Sin was outside the school gates during the sudden attack of so many little shadow formed beasts. The very same had destoried her room and the majority of her possessions. What stood out about that even though had not been the battle, but a painful little bit of drama that had been all too public. The succubus had offered comfort to the djinn, and she remembered that kindness. Surely the other ghoul was curious over the outcome, and Yaya couldn't rightly blame her. They'd made a scene, and had a very large audience. Though if she didn't ask, Yaya wasn't going to simply volunteer the rest of the story. "You're looking stunning, as always."

Sin smiled brightly at the compliment, who didn't like to be told how good they looked? Yet coming from an equally stunning ghoul like Yaya made the compliment all the better, it was one thing to think you boilfriend was just paying you lip service another to have a friend notice your style. As for Yaya's style, it was impeccable, Sin had to admire the way Yaya made her clothes look as though they weren't even there. Somehow the fabric and her body were one, and in the water even moreso the sparkling she caught could have been a gem or a perfect droplet of moisture clinging to her.
"And you, divine as always, like a water goddess out here. I'd offer to swim laps with you, but I have a feeling I wouldn't be able to keep up." She laughed and relaxed a bit as her skin became accustomed to the temperature difference between lake and land.
She was curious about how Yaya was doing, but she hardly wanted to appear snoopy or rude, Sin disliked gossip…mostly because she felt one lost quite a bit in passing and getting information third hand. Still she had to at least make sure Yaya knew that Sin was there if she needed a shoulder.
"I hope you're well? After everything at the gates…?"
There she'd left the question open enough that if Yaya didn't want to discuss Sharra and that boil she didn't have to.

Hadiyya chuckled, and the caressing streams of water that still slide along tanned skin paused, changed course, and formed themselves into a parody of jewelry at neck and wrist. It lingered there a moment, then gravity regained it's hold and they were mere droplets again. A water goddess indeed. "Perhaps," she mused, smiling softly at the other demoness. "Though I'd play fair if I was swimming with a friend." If Sin really wanted someone to swim laps with on occasion, Yaya was more then willing. She adored her connection with the water, but for friendship she'd release her hold and swim unaided like everyone else. Of course swimming wasn't really the topic most pressing, and she wasn't bothered when Sin so careful delved ever deeper with caring questions. "It's alright," she assured, tucking a heavy strand of dark hair behind her ear. "I know we made a very large scene." Her smile faltered, embarrassment peeking through momentarily, but forced away. "I know it's hard to believe, given what everyone saw, but it was one very big misunderstanding." She recalled having stormed away from the gates to return to the dorms, only to find her own in absolute shambles. Icing on the cake of what had already been a terrible evening, but Sharra and found her there, and Marosa had followed. "The fae-boil, Marosa. His natural ability is quite unfortunate." She paused, nibbling her lower lip. Quite unsure how much she should say on the matter. "It has a bespelling effect, when there's skin to skin contact, and it's like a doubled sided blade, so it effects him as much as whomever he touches." There was more to it, but nothing she was willing to share. That was business between herself and the boils.

Sin smiled at the display Yaya put on, the ghoul was getting pretty good with water it seemed! She only wished her own talents would develop as well, she was terrified of ending up dead just because she panicked and couldn't hold her own fear properly. Well, that was too grave a concern for what was supposed to be a relaxing time.
"Well if you ever wanted the company I'd love to, I need the extra push sometimes or I end up just swimming lazy circles, hardly a proper workout."
She moved a bit closer to give Yaya's shoulder a soft touch, she didn't want the other ghoul to feel embarrassed. Jack only knew how many things happened at Amityville that caused all sorts of emotional scenes and wild confusing outbursts. "I'm glad it was just a misunderstanding."
She nodded at Yaya's words and then flicked back an errant strand of her hair.
"You'll forgive me for interfering, truth be told I thought perhaps he was using his ability on purpose for more nefarious means...I've met demons...well...you know." She shrugged lightly, she didn't want to get into her time spent at the all Demon Academy and the boils who thought she'd fall for their charms, as if she didn't have her own, but those were to use against humans not her own kind!
"I am glad to hear that it was a mistake though, and that you and Sharra are well. I'm sure it was all just a shock in the moment and tensions were already running pretty high...those things." She shuddered at the memory of the waves of shadowy creatures appearing from every which way.

Yaya beamed at the other ghoul. "There is nothing wrong with lazy circles." While the djinn could be quick when she wanted to, her preferred pace had always been a far more leisurely one. She wasn't lazy, persay, but she relished in lounging about and napping, usually cuddled up to someone warm. The touch to her shoulder was nice, and Sin was reward with the cool brush of tanned fingers along her wrist. "I am as well. I do feel better now, but at the time I was livid." She frowned, recalling the events of the night, but the unhappy expression didn't last. "They did come after me, after I had stormed off. I can't say as I really wanted to see either of them, but I'm sure it was for the best we cleared everything up immediately." More time to fume over the scene could very well have been the end of her relationship with Sharra. Things weren't perfect, but she couldn't say they were much more strained then that had been. The nergal boil deserved a chance to redeem himself, and Yaya owed it to the both of him to give him that chance. Her nose wrinkled at the mention of demons and the various nefarious things they were capable of. "Don't I know it, but no, nothing like that." The brilliant smile returned in full at Sin's obvious care, and the water djinn nodded. "I'm glad as well, and I'm sure that was part of it. With so much going on, it left little room for rationality." They'd been in the midst of a battle, of course tensions were already running high. Surely they could find better things to discuss then her own relationship problems though. "How are you and Roch doing?" That was the blind boil's name, wasn't it? Oh, she hoped so.
