Natural Ability: Green Thumb; she can help plants grow. But they have to come from something - she can't make plants appear out of nowhere. She can speed along the process so that the time til harvest is halved.
Flowers bloom instantly but only if there are buds already formed.
Trees she can make sprout but she cannot grow them to full.
Personality: If you were to describe Florance as kind and chipper to anyone you'd probably get tossed into a home for special people who perhaps don't have any sense or who might be living in a dream land where everything is coming up sunshines and rainbows. Florance is anything but kind and gentle and sweet. She's impatient, hates stupid people who ask stupid questions and is a general all about grump. She was reluctant about opening a potion shop in the first place because she knew the kinds of customers she'd bring in but she was quite bored.
It might be possible to strike up a conversation with Florance if you're actually interested in what she does and you have some knowledge. She will test you and if you're wrong she will get angry. Really angry. For those few who do pique her interest, she's quite knowledgeable when it comes to plants and they are the one thing she has a soft spot for these days. Talking about them might bring a sparkle in her eye if you look close enough. Maybe even a twitch in the corner of her mouth.
With her old age comes a bit of forgetfulness which might be one attributing factor to her grumpy nature. Sometimes she frustrates herself which in turn makes her angry which makes her hate everyone. She's slowly becoming short sighted - the sight in her left eye a little worse for wear on account of the bark growing all around it. She keeps it in check with potions and weekly debarkings.
Job/Business: She owns Vials & Corks - a potion shop. It mostly deals with remedies for ailments but for the right price you could probably get some more *ahem* interesting potions.
She also stocks herbs & a few medical supplies.
Personal History: Not much is known about Florance. She's kept to herself most her life so there aren't many people to dish gossip and there aren't many people around who would be willing to get to know her now.
Before she set up her shop, she lived in a secluded hut in the woods, only showing up occasionally for supplies. It is rumored that she was once quite beautiful and that she was cursed because she fell in love with a witch's husband and tried to steal him away and that's why she became a potion brewer.
The reality is much less magical - her appearance is simply what happens to dryads when they get to be her age which is really, really really old. While she won't admit it, she might have missed the company of others for a brief moment which lead to the quick decision to move closer to the city and open up a potion shop. Now, with a lease and responsibilities, she's kind of stuck.
Her family is unknown and she doesn't mention any relatives or children. She might have had them once but she either can't remember or doesn't care to.
FEAR Ability: Black Pinkie. While she has a green thumb, she also has a black pinkie which tends to have the opposite effect. If she wants to, she can poison you and then charge you an arm and a leg for a cure.

Physical Description: Eye Colour: Muddy brown with flecks of green.
Hair Colour/Style: Knotted and whispy it looks very much like
spanish moss it might even
be spanish moss but no one has been close enough to touch it or brave enough to ask.
Skin Colour: Brown. It's very textured and looks almost like bark. Some parts
are bark; namely a section of her arm and the top corner of her face (forehead down to bottom of eye).
Clothing Style/Colours: Pretty much rags. A rather large cloak, boots. She has a lot of pockets filled with gardening tools and seeds. Some pockets have plants growing out of them.
Extra: Her left leg is a tree trunk; the toes roots. She forgets how it happened but it was a long time ago and she suggests it's probably due to her being stupid when she was younger.
