One. Two. Three. One. Two... thunk. thunk. thunk.
The balls fell to the ground again, and the young colt pawed at the ground in frustration. He wasn't ever going to figure this out, and that fact upset him far more than he wanted it to.
He just wanted to be able to help.
It was a rough life, travelling from place to place, never knowing where their path would lead, and while he knew that Wind Charmer was doing the best she could to take care of both of them, he also knew that she had never planned on bringing a child along with her on her travels.
He had been unexpected, what with Wind Charmer finding him as a very young foal, but she hadn't been able to leave him behind. Especially after she looked for his parents and wasn't able to find them. He knew that she didn't mind, that she even loved him, but he felt as if he should be pulling his own weight, especially since he was older now.
He picked up the balls, and started to toss them again. Maybe if he kept practicing, he'd eventually get it.
One. Two. Thunk. Or maybe not.

Sharp Shooter's eyes narrowed as she watched him from behind a rain barrel. He wasn't very big. If he fought, she'd have no challenge beating him, but perhaps it wouldn't come to that. Her silver tongue made stealing from little ones rather easy.
She strode forwards and replaced her grim expression with a rather wide smile, her pink body friendly and approachable. "Well hello there." She greeted. "Quite an act you've got going here." The balls were of no value but he might have some food or something for her instead.
"What's your name?" She asked, using her magic to help him pick up the balls. "I'm Sharp-" ALIAS. ALIAS! She paused in her name. "Sharp-ey... Sharpey Rose." She would have put her hoof to her face.
