Vanya had left home to live on her own but had yet to find a place to call her own. Her parents had made a comfortable place to call home and her sisters were still living with them but she wanted to be different. As she wandered through the trees, her eyes wandered around the area. She didn't see anything that was calling out to her that would be suitable for a home for her. Her tail flowed behind her as the wind blew through, the light blue feathers brushing against each other as they touched in her tail. Her silver bangs blew into her face covering her amber eyes. She had to pause and rearrange her bangs by moving her face this way and that.

Caym stalked through the forest, his hoof beats silent like a ghost.

He was off to seek out the young mare he had once saved from a hole. Since then he often found himself trailing away from his herd to see her.

They had grown up since then and Cam couldn't understand how he had managed to refrain from killing her. How he had been able to put up so much protest against the voices and come out victorious.

He was doing things his way and they needed to understand that.

The moment had to be right, there had to be patience with these things.

His eyes swept the surroundings, ears twitching to take in the sounds of the forest. His one visible ear acting like some kind of radar.

The clatter of beads soon found them and turning swiftly, he made his way towards the sound. Shifting in the shadows the figure of the other he had been looking for stood clearly in view and a small, smile collected at the corner of his lips.

Showing himself, he walked out of the shadows and in to her vision. Watching as she shook her head to move the bangs from her eyes. Her mane had grown longer since they first met and her tail. Decorating both.

"Morning..." He called to her casually, dipping his head.

"Something seems different about you today." He added, meaning the beads and feathers in her tail and her long, dark braid.

He wasn't going to lie but it suited her very well.

As he appeared from the shadows; he startled her because she didn't even hear him coming. He seemed different all on his own, now a hat and some strange white cloth adorned him. His mane and tail seemed to be so much longer and darker almost. "Hi there stranger." She spoke the words softly and with a gentle smile. "You seem different all on your own, you should speak for yourself." But she did a slow turn for him all for show. She was proud of how she turned out to be and wanted him to look at her in a different way. She loved the colors of her body and just adored how her hair turned out from when she was a foal. It had not been so long ago until they had seen each other but it was funny how he acted like he had not seen her for years.

"I do?" He raised one eyebrow, acting dumbfound about it.

His mother had gotten in to his fathers collection and started picking through it and before long had gathered all the materials she needed to flash up all her children.

Nobody dare refuse her, so they all stood there whilst she worked her magic and this was the result. It made him wonder why she had chosen to give him the hat. His fathers was his mafia trade mark. Apart of him believed she had a small understanding of what he had been through trying to earn his praise.

Even if she didn't know that he had tried to kill Boris so many times, the only thing he could give the cat credit for was not telling her about the attempts.

"I hadn't noticed." He finally chimed, jokingly, briefly singing a gentle laugh. How could he not notice. It took him all his time to get used to seeing again. It was like being blind.

He stilled and watched her as she did a little spin for him so he could take all of her in, showing him what maturity had graced her with. He smiled warmly and whistled as she returned to her former stance.

"You have grown in to a beautiful young woman, miss Caladwen." He paused, walking over to her side. "Deserving the entirety of any stallions undivided attention."

"You look so handsome." She smiled at him because she never really said the words aloud but always thought them to herself. "How could you not notice? You must be getting lots of looks." She decided to tease him a little bit and giggled at her own little joke. In her mind, she couldn't imagine possibly how many possible lookers he had onlooking his way. "Don't I know it." She grinned happily about her compliment on her apperance and how stunning she was for it all. "We are quite deserving of any attention dear Cam." She chose to call him by what he chose to be called instead of his true name.

"Thank you." He grinned proudly, tilting his head to peer at her through the mass of his blue hair. He wasn't against receiving compliments, especially when it was coming from such a beautiful mare.

Hard to believe it was the same Vanya he had met as a foal. The one crying for help, pressing him with caring comfort when she believed he was in danger.

Now she was confident and full of enjoyment. High on life.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that..." He chuckled gently, leaning over to playfully nibble on the edge of her ear. He wasn't one to go about getting attention but if it was something that helped him gather up more unfortunate souls then he was all for it.

Other than his family, he hadn't really met many to know whether they saw him in that light or not.

That would soon change. He had plans, big plans and to achieve it he would have to make some very powerful connections.

"That we are. Don't ever allow any one to shake that new found confidence, Vanya." He turned and started to walk, glancing over his shoulder to see if she had taken to following him. "It's a very attractive trait to have."

He gave her a wink and then took to looking back to the path a head of him.

"What were you planning to do today?" He asked with great interest. "I would assume you were looking for me but if I may say so without causing offense, you looked a little lost. Care to share as to why?"

As his words filled her ears, she found herself becoming more and more happier. For some reason whenever she was him, her memories seemed to fill up only of him and she seemed to forget more and more about Shiny and her childhood with him. Their promises of adventure and candy, promises to find other sweet things and treasures yet to be found. She found herself sighing easily as he leaned over and playfully nibbled on her ear. With Caym around, she could let go of worries too easily and fears were a thing of the past. "Is it so attractive that you might find it so?" She couldn't help but antagonize him just a little since he was the one to bring it up in the first place. He seemed to be the only other male she still had contact with after all that wasn't related by blood anyways. She followed after him with a wide and flirtatious grin on her face because for some reason or another it just seemed right with the day. "And if you must know dear Cam, I may or may not have been looking for you but rather a place to call my own." The words were stated confidenty and with a rather satisfactory smile.

He looked back out of the corner of his eyes at her. He knew what she was doing and he was contemplating on how to answer her question. Not like there was any question about it.

He was coming to terms with the fact he liked a mare who could handle herself on her own, show initiative and work independently if need be. That was where his father went wrong.

His mother, even though she knew how to be alone, always craved attention and the attention she wasn't getting was channeled on to them, or in to spending time with Boris, Elliot and the familiars.

How could any man bare to see their partner wallow in sadness, if they truly loved them.

He wondered if Vanya could ever cope with him, if he followed the route he was planning to take.

"It does have a certain shine." He stated truthfully, deciding to delve further in to his thoughts. "I admit, there would have to be more to it than confidence alone." He gave a small smirk and stopped in his tracks, turning to her at a slight angle. Lifting his right leg up in the process to gain balance in the motion.

"Were you hoping that it would?" He gave her an equally teasing look but also curious to what she was thinking.

She was already leaving home? Well, that answered his earlier thoughts on independence "How is that working out for you?" He gave a flick of his tail.

"I would like to offer you my services, if it's not an unwelcome gesture."

She looked at him and grinned back at him with a daring look in her eye. It was decided then and there that she wasn't going to back down. "Oh I assure you darling Caym that there is much more to me than you believe there to be." She looked straight in the eye and grinned with such a confidence, she was really surprised with herself but she wasn't going to show it to him. "I do believe you hope there either will be or would be." She smiled at him and then brushed by him as she continued to walk. "I have yet to find anything to stand out and say it is for me, if you would like to follow along, I won't and can't say no to you." A soft chuckle escaped from her because she realized that it was true. She really couldn't tell him no, the day of the hole would always come back to her and how she felt bad for telling him no that day.

Cam couldn't help but grin back at her, seeing the challenging look she gave him and the unmissable determination that was glinting in those amber eyes of hers.

He felt compelled to compete with her even if he had no true desire to win, by having learned it was usually best that they mares got what they wanted, if it made them happier.

"I believe there would be however how can I be certain that there is, until I have seen it for myself?" He tilted his head down to look at her when she chose to brush past his side.

Even though the two had been touchy and almost too friendly with each other in the past, every time he would think back to the hole when she reached out and nuzzled in to his neck.

Her scent was pleasantly suffocating, a sweet aroma which was both a mixture of flowers and berries. Her warmth, welcome and her smile always brightened the darker thoughts.

He was starting to wonder if whoever was telling him to kill this mare, the voices, had given up on trying to seduce his mind in to going through with it. They hadn't made an appearance yet but he wasn't just going to go and let his guard down, who knows how long it was going to last for.

"Who could say no to me?" He smiled a much more charming smile than he had ever known. "Surely not you, Vanya." Smoothly laughing at the irony he turned his head with the movements of her figure and watched her stroll past him, his eyes following her hind quarters.

He followed after her, slowing his pace to walk a touch behind.

Her ears twitched as they took in his words towards her. Once they dawned on her she laughed at him. "Your so horrible Cam." She continued to laugh though because it there truly was nothing for him to see for himself, he wouldn't be around still right? "Oh I have tried many times darling Cam to say no." She smirked at him as she turned her head to look at him but she continued to walk forward. Her gentle and caring amber eyes caught him staring at her and she couldn't help but turn around so that she was facing him completely. "How is it that I get the feeling your not hearing what I have spoken?" She spoke the words with a light sense of humor and a teasing smile. The wind continue to blow through, a gentle and warm breeze that would caress her mane and tail.

Caym lifted his deep blue eyes from her figure to her bright amber's when he felt her gaze fall on him. He studied them carefully, noticing how warm her eyes were as they observed him. He came to a halt in his steps when she turned around once more to face him.

Looking down at her, his mane shifted in to his line of sight and he took to peering through the bangs rather than making the effort to remove them.

"You have, have you?" He smirked in return to her own. "Do I sense that my charms left you defeated?"

The words that followed baffled him slightly, his ears fall back and he lowered his head closer towards her a frown forming at his lips.

"I always listen to what you have to say, perhaps you should be more direct if you feel I'm not catching your drift." He made direct eye contact with her and held it though it wasn't a threatening or challenging stare at all, more of a concerned one with an embracing touch to the reflection that was in them.
PostPosted: Tue Apr 30, 2013 1:41 pm

"Cam I am not sure as to how much more direct I need to be, it is like you hear me but perhaps my words just go elsewhere." She sighed heavily as she looked into his deep blue eyes, they always seemed to engulf her once she looked into them. She had to force herself to look away as she silently cursed him for growing up to be so good looking. "Enough diddle daddle, what sort of services can you offer me today?" She brought back her cheerful smile though on the inside, she wasn't so cheerful anymore. She wanted to be able to have just a little more freedom like when she was a foal. Missing that ability to be niave and innocent, but as time passed those things went away all on their own.

No matter how hard she would try, putting on a smile like nothing was wrong, he knew she was far from alright. The gentle warmth of her gaze took a turn, becoming cold and he could see the sadness eating away at the previous thoughts to make way for the doubts she had.

He gave a sigh. He didn't understand what she was referring to but she should of known him better than that by now. He wasn't going to just simply allow her to bottle what she really wanted to say up and mask it.

"Vanya." He held authority in his voice this time, losing the playful and gentle tone he usually had when with her. "Don't do that."

If she dare ask him 'do what.' She knew exactly what he meant. He walked around her to stand in front of her, blocking the path she was yet to take.

"Things have changed since we were foals." He started, pausing to collect his thoughts in a way he could word without saying the wrong thing so that it didn't end up upsetting her.

"That isn't a bad thing." He gave her a small smile, his full attention on her. "We have to grow up at some point. We already have started to. Look at you, your trying to find a place to call your own, already. Do you think most people would be brave enough at our age to get on there feet and get out in to the world straight away?" He waited a moment before answering it for her.

"No. It takes a lot of courage to take a big step like that. I admire that about you. You're not afraid to dive in to the unknown. Whereas once you were lost, alone, scared. Crying for help I have watched you overcome that and become strong, determined. Caring. You even put your faith in me, even after I uttered some questionable things over our time together."

He closed his eyes briefly, taking in a deep breath.

"There are many great qualities other than your confidence. I have already told you how beautiful, I personally think, you're." Opening them again he looked from her hooves to her face. Scaling her frame. "I may not always give you the whole of what I am thinking but isn't it best leaving that little piece of mystery for you? I give you your space to make your own choices. I am one of them."

He shook his head gently and turned, wondering what she would do with all that information.

"As for my services. I know the kind of places to look for which would work for your basic needs, it just depends if you want something small or something that will work for a potential herd in the future. Depending..."
