”Okay... no so anti-climactic after all...” Crystal whispered. Her body was curled defensively, and her hands were covered tightly against her face. She hadn't been expecting such a bright flash of light. A rumble of sound, yes. Some glowing orb thing, yes. To be blinded? No. Not at all.

”So... what happened, Danny?” she asked, then paused for a reply. ”.... Danny?” she asked again.

Still nothing. When she heard a car horn, she moved her hands away from her face. Blinking several times, she hissed and tried to adjust her focus. When it finally did return, she blinked several more times.

… she was in the city? When did she get into the city? She hasn't 'poofed' herself like this since she was a kid.

Crystal paused for a long moment, taking everything in around her. It was definitely the city... but it didn't look any different at all. That was her Crystal Tower over there.... the Blackstone Building was over there... Nope. Everything looked the same. What a rip. And she worked hard to find that stone.

With an aggravated huff, Crystal crossed her arms and turned away from the street. She faced a large TV store instead, and frowned further when she noticed every channel was the news. Well... the reporter she could say she's never seen before.

”And in other news, Spider-Man was seen near 7th Street trying to contain the villain known as-”

”Wait, what?” she hissed.

When civilian video came on the screen, she leaned in closer. Red costume with a spider.... yeah, that looked fami... wait. Blue? When did he get blue on his costume? And what was with the webbing? And where were those black legs that....

And then Doctor Octopus lept at the red and blue clad hero zipping across the screen.

Crystal stared. And blinked. And stared some more.

”This... this is a joke, right? Comic books? I didn't ask for comic books! I just asked for....” she growled, then stopped when she realized what she had wanted. ”....I wanted a world where my powers wouldn't work as well, and I wouldn't know what was going on all the time.” she mumbled.

She blinked once more, then looked back at the screen. As she watched, she realized she had no idea how that fight went, or how it turned out. She winced at it, then leaned in closer to focus on it. Images flashed through her head... all the past though. She knew how the fight occurred up to this point. But... she had no idea what happened afterwards.

”...I can't see the future...” she whispered, then stood back up.

She stood there for a long moment, as still as could be. Then, she squealed happily and bounced on her toes. ”I can't see what happens! I can watch movies now! I can finally go on dates!” she squealed.

A homeless man moved out from the corner of the ally and stared at the clearly wealthy woman bouncing in front of the TV store. Crystal noticed him move into view, then ran over to him. She grabbed his hands and began bouncing around in a circle around him. ”It's all new, it's all gone, it's all fun again!” she squealed.

Just as quickly as she had grabbed him, she let go of his hands and started quickly down the street. As the man stumbled back, Crystal stopped, then turned around and hurried towards him again. ”Wait a minute!” she said.

The man blinked and backed up against the wall. Crystal pulled out a hundred dollar bill from her pocket and shoved it into the mans hands. The man stared at it with wide eyes, then quickly looked back up at the woman. Who... was staring rather uncomfortably at him.

Crystal frowned after a few seconds and huffed. ”Well, bigger things I can't see.” she replied. Then she yanked the bill away from the man's hand and shoved it back into her pocket.

The man watched it disappear and stuttered.

”You were going to spend part of that on what you needed, the rest on booze, get drunk, and accidentally walk in front of the seven-fifteen bus.” she said, then pulled a fifty out of her pocket and gave it to him. ”Get food. No alcohol. If you get drunk stay inside.” she informed him.

The turned around and promptly began walking down the street again.

Crystal blinked and looked over at the man. ”Street?” she asked. She was on the sidewalk just a moment ago. When she looked beside her, she realized that she was in fact in the middle of an intersection. In her excitement she hadn't even paid attention to her surroundings.

”Whoops.” she said, as though she had merely forgotten on the table. ”My bad. Over excited I suppose.” she continued, her tone taking on an... if possible... even more excitement. She didn't know she was in the middle of the street! Ha, HA!

With a smile, she moved back towards the sidewalk and towards the man who had approached her. She tucked a curl of silver hair behind her ear, then placed her hand on her hip. ”My name is Crystal. Crystal Glass.” she replied. Then she waved her hand in the air dismissively. ”Odd name, I know. Parents thought they'd be creative with our last name when they named me. It's grown on me over the years though.” she said. A lie she was used to telling at this point. Honestly though... she could probably drop the alias at any point now that this was a bran new world.

”And you are...?” she asked, giving the man a good look over. ".... on your way to a fantasy convention?" she asked. She wasn't meaning to be rude, but that certainly wasn't the sort of attire most people walked around in. At the same time, this WAS New York City. It wouldn't be hard to believe that this man was a l.a.r.p. or honestly liked to dress that way.

Crystal smiled lightly and took his hand to shake. "Oh if they paid a visit to Edel, I'm sure I'd see someone wearing something like that at a convention." she replied. Then she blinked and looked down at his hand. After a moment's pause, she looked back up at him and grinned. "But I can see that you're being serious about the 'Warmage' thing. Interesting." she said then drew her hand back.

“Oh?” Crystal asked. ”What makes you think I don't have a clue as to what's going on? The news was just on after all." she replied with a smile, gesturing towards the store she had been standing in front of a few moments ago.

"I'm taking a walk. I just received a... VERY good bit of news, so I'm celebrating by taking the day off and enjoying the weather outdoors."

"YeeeeaaaAAAAHHHHH!!!!" was the only warning that people below received, when a young woman with auburn hair and a white streak clad in a tight pleather yellow and green outfit adorned by a leather bomber jacket collided with the pavement -- fortunately not hitting anyone.

Comically, the Southern mutant known as Rogue was embedded into the sidewalk facing upward wide eyed. She lay there in agony, very fortunate that nothing was broken due to her near invulnerable state. Marie whimpered softly, as pain registered throughout her entire body, whilst she stared up at the sky in dumb shock.

Location: Entering the outskirts of New York City- where NY and Gotham meet
Status: Confused to hell, and very curious
OOC: ((.... is everyone doing this little 'status' thing? It's a great idea... and I was debating on whether to enter in NYC first, or Gotham first..... also tomorrow's the last day of the quarter for me, so I'm confident with jumping on board! : P Also New York is in the DC verse, right? I should have asked this before posting... AAH just need to know if DC characters will recognize the skyline... ))

Well, if "confused to hell" wasn't an accurate way to describe this particular teen's state of mind, then good luck finding a better way to word it. One moment you're driving down 44th street on your motorcycle, and the next the GPS in your high-tech helmet glitches out, and..... an unbelievably strange sight appears before you: an entirely different skyline as opposed to where Gotham City's ocean view normally would be.

"What.... the..... "

The young costumed Timothy Drake (or, as most street thugs and crazed maniacs knew him as, 'Robin') skidded to a stop and took off his helmet... giving the new view many takes over. He was already stopped in the new 'territory', since he had been so shocked............ after taking several moments in an attempt to properly compose himself, Robin lifted a green-gloved hand to his ear, activating communications to contact the rest of Gotham's crime-fighting team. By no means was he about to disguise his disbelief and shock.

"Hey .... Robin here..... Am I seeing things, or do we have a new neighbor? Neighbor as in, an entirely different city parked where the harbor used to be?"

Maybe he was dreaming. Or hallucinating? No, he would have noticed other 'signs' if that were the case, hallucinogens often had at least some kind of effect that he would recognize....... this left the teen in a rather odd state. The sight in front of him couldn't possibly be real...... could it?

Slowly, Rogue painfully sat up. As the Southerner paned her view to take a look around, pieces of ruble drop from her auburn hair. Waves of pain kept the nearly invulnerable mutant from standing up, and Marie contently sat upright waiting for the pain to subside. At this particular moment, Rogue just concentrated on breathing.

Rogue blinked in surprise seeing a white haired girl make her way to her. At first, Marie thought the girl was much older until she got a better look at her skin, Uhhh.. okay. Maybe she's an albino.... not that that matters. The Mississippi native wanted to speak to Crystal, but the pain in her lungs hadn't cleared yet...
