✥ F a c t i o n s
These are optional 'factions' you can have your character be a part of. This is entirely optional and mostly for roleplaying purpose, however, factions will affect your character's costume in many cases. Knights should wear some amount of armor or knightly cloth, for instance, but these rules are not extremely strict, so you have a lot of leeway with how you design your character. The only limitations are those of race, and you can read more information about that below.

✥ MAKAI FACTIONS

Noble, courageous and goodhearted, Knights serve the people and the royal family. As long as a person was not causing harm to others, they deserved life, a happy existence and safety, even if they are of Majin or Spiritus descent. The Knights often come into conflict with the Blackheart branch, due to the contrasting natures of the two types, but can always work together when the time is needed.
✥ Most Cerberus Knights wear some type of light-colored armor, or wear the emblem upon their clothing if they do not wear the armor. Open to any race.

The Blackheart Branch are the assassins of the Royal Family. If the Knights were the shield of the people, the Blackhearts would be the poisoned blade that strikes fast and steadily at their enemies. They do not concern themselves with protecting the people, but getting their missions completed as quickly and quietly as possible. Blackhearts are often used to quietly and quickly take out stronger, dark-natured spiritus and known witch eaters, and many have been trained from youth to be in the position they now are in. They are often seen as shady or dark creatures themselves and muster fear when seen in town for what they are, and what they are is simply: A necessary evil to diminish greater evils. However, many do have noble intentions, or perhaps simply value strength, and that is what makes them a good blackheart.
✥ Blackhearts mostly dark/white/edgy armor that fits the fighting style of the person wearing it, so some may wear more than others. Open to any race.

✥ POENA PRIVUS FACTIONS
 ✥ N i g h t m a r e s
Mounted knights of Poena Privus who still remain loyal to King Yllarian. They tend to have skeletal/morbid/creepy things imbued into their armor, and their steeds are just as disturbing to behold, phantom horses clad in skeletal armor, eyes that glow with spirit fire. Nightmares were the official knights of Poena Privus, driven into the shadows when the Demon King took over, or caught in the Time-freezing curse that put all of Poena Privus into slumber for centuries. Since the curse has begun to lift, the Nightmares of the past begin to stir, making their way out of the Riftwood and into the light again, forced to adapt to the changed world. Still, they remain strong as ever, and one thing stays beating within their chest....A heart? Oh, no no...Revenge. Revenge upon the Demon King, the desire to once again join their King and reclaim their home, their power, their position. While mostly Spiritus, they offer a contract to those dwelling in the light who wish to join them....Half of your soul for their power and position.
Open to any race, but mostly will consist of Past- Spiritus.

Many devils. A legion is one who sides with or serves the Demon King, either as a weapon, a shield, a puppeteer, or a pawn. Those who pledge their allegiance to him are marked somewhere on their body with the symbol of a red eye, a marking imbued with magic that allows him to communicate silently to all who serve him, and is said to increase the power and ability of those who serve him, even granting humans or witches the ability to change their form into that of a Riftborn. While he gives great power, what he fails to tell those he gives it to is that eventually, it can consume them, eating at their sanity and even contorting the bodies of non-Spiritus with Shadow Rot. But still, it is a great power...and to be in favor of the One-Eyed Demon King, with all his ancient wisdom and strength is, well..how should we say: It is better to be the right hand of the devil than in his path. Legion too have been freed once the curse on Poena Privus began to chip away. Like the Nightmares, they too escaped into the light, hungry for hearts, for blood, desperate to resurrect their master's corpse and see him fulfill his dark wishes.
Open to any race, but mostly will consist of Past- Spiritus and Witches.
