There was a full hour and a half between lunch and Jordan's next scheduled duty slot; when he came out of the cafeteria, he paused for a moment, thinking about what to do with that free time. He could do more research in the library - he'd finally found some concrete information on what he was looking for - but that option was likely to distract him and make him lose track of time, and he'd swapped shifts with a guy from Moon earlier this week, which meant he would be in extra s**t if he didn't show up on time. No, better to spend the time training. At least out on the training fields he could set an alarm on his phone without worrying about the noise. Anyway, if he was going to be wearing Rep's coat for any significant period of time, he needed to get used to moving in it.

Mind made up, he jogged towards the dorms so he could drop off his bag. It wouldn't take more than a few minutes.

Al had already poked out of his tent/dormroom hybrid. He cast the tarp aside and began wandering down the dorm halls in search of people or something to do... then something red, white, and fluffy caught his eye. He knew that combo anywhere and quickly took pursuit. He didn't realize Rep was released from the infirmary so - woa NOT Rep! He stared at the impostor from around the corner. Augh it was that crazy guy!

But why does he... ... oh! b*****d must have been the one who beat Rep up! He took his jacket after?... What a c**t! Almost blinded the man and then took the most important symbol of who he was?!

Al's hands clenched into tight fists as he started to move towards the man.

He had to do something. The jerk was flaunting that coat like some damn trophy. He had to do... he had to tell Rep! Rep'll know what to do!

Did this mean Rep was still in the infirmary then?

Time to go hunting.

Rep was training on the fields - no matter what else happened in his life, no matter what upheavals - training was important, and always would be. He'd lost a bit of his fitness while in the infirmary and he had every intention of kicking it back into himself, with his Sun status in question it was even more critical than it had ever been.

Tracey sung through the air as he was embedded in one of the various training dummies, as always, the aim being to cleave the exact same point twice in a row.

He was entirely jacketless, dressed in nothing but jeans and shoes, because shirts on a tropical island, even a tropical island shrouded in fog, were reserved for guys who weren't douchebags.

Ferros hissed a pleased, wordless note as they caught sight of Tracey and Rep. The dragon had been less shy about expressing his appreciation for the other weapon recently. Jordan was still getting used to it, though he understood completely.

"Looking good," he called as they got into earshot. "How many you wrecked so far?" He moved up to settle a hand lightly on Rep's back, not in the least concerned about being in the way.

Rep glanced over his shoulder and grinned breathlessly as Jordan arrived, letting Tracey drop to rest on the ground. There was still something startling and yet deeply pleasing about Jordan in his coat - encouraging like a statement of belief that he could re-earn everything he'd lost. It meant a lot.

He couldn't help the easy way he very subtly leaned back to Jordan's touch. "Just three. The name of the game's accuracy. Good precise hits are important." Taking a step back, he edged further into Jordan's personal space to lean his head against the polar bear fur of the collar, giving him a sidelong look. "What have you been up to?"

Jordan looped his arm around Rep's waist as Rep leaned back against him, grinning at him. "Precision is a little tougher for us. Wider area of impact, you know. Exploding dummies is pretty satisfying, though. I just had lunch, got an hour and a half till I need to be anywhere, thought we'd come out and train for a while."

Al tried the infirmary, Rep had actually been released already quite some time ago. Then he tried the dining hall, no one has seen him all day. He even tried Rep's room, an area he otherwise deemed off limits out of extreme respect. This was an emergency. But again, there was no answer. There was only one more place he knew well enough to look, and stopping everywhere to look along the way...

"Aye, I can imagine." Accuracy was never going to be a hammer's strong point. Tracey though, seemed to think that the concept of simply exploding things into their component and flatter parts was far superior to accuracy and he had to mentally adjust to the feeling of the fallen angel listening a lot more attentively than usual to what was being said. It was oddly distracting. "Tracey thinks exploding dummies is ******** amazing apparently."

The edge of a smirk tugged at Rep's features as he ran his fingertips along Jordan's sleeve. "An hour and a half's a long time to train." The entire time he maintained a look of utmost earnestness. Tracey only encouraged him.

"How bored are you?"

Ferros preened, the stone on his ring glowing brighter briefly. Jordan laughed. "Ferros appreciates the compliment."

His smile gained a wicked edge. "I did come out here for a good workout," he answered, echoing Rep's mock-innocent tone, even as he pulled him closer for a kiss.

Tracey was decidedly fired up from the training and just a bit more vibrant in Rep's thoughts than usual. It was encouraging, after all, he'd been the one working non stop for days to salvage Rep's appearance, as far as Rep was concerned if anyone deserved a bit of tolerance, it was him. He dismissed the axe back to his earring form instinctually as he was drawn into the kiss.

Beyond that point, Rep only broke it twice, once to twist to face Jordan face to face proper as he unzipped the coat and twined his hands in warm fabric, close and possessive before snaking them beneath and across skin and the second time to smirk against his lips and purr. "It's a spar, of a sort."

Al finally made his way onto the field. Oh! He lit up, he recognised that Red hair. It was definitely Rep and he was... sparring someone? Al waved as he ran with renewed vigor, "Rep! Hey Rep! That guy! That g-" The closer he got, the more apparent it became a spar was not what was occurring. Then he stopped just a few paces short as dawning horror finally crept into place. "....Rep?" And he just stared in sheer uncomprehending horror.

It took a moment to register that someone was yelling, and furthermore, someone was yelling Rep's name, and that yeah, they were being stared at. Jordan pulled back, feeling his cheeks heat up with a blush, and let go of Rep with an apologetic look. They really should have gone somewhere more private sooner.

"Er," he said. "Hi - oh, hey, you're the new guy, huh? RunicFirefly on twitter?" He straightened the coat a little, then realized too late that that would only call attention to being a little disheveled.

Rep found it a hell of a lot more difficult to get his mind off of what he was doing and onto the fact someone had just addressed him. All there initially was was a very animal anger at being interrupted. He might well have just ignored them if Jordan didn't have the clarity to let go.

He turned to glare at whoever had the gall to ruin his entertainment, absolutely bristling with anger only for said anger to very rapidly melt as he realised who had walked up on ******** he'd told the guy to avoid Jordan too, great. He was too ******** distracted to think of a clever way to backpedal either.

"Hi Al." he sighed

PostPosted: Sat Apr 27, 2013 9:31 am

"Uhhh..," It was too hard for Al not to notice how 'disheveled' both men were. It made this situation somehow even more frightening and he quickly forced his gaze to remain above-the-belt-level and on the scenery. ".....hi," he squeaked at the both of them. His own face suddenly shifting through a rather amusing array of colors.

Was he going to die?

Awkward. Thoroughly awkward. "Did you, uh, need something?"
