Just east of Armonia lies a small but flourishing forest. In the sun, it glimmers with colors; red, yellow, blue, and multitudes of green. Though it's labeled as a dungeon, if only for the mysterious moss covered stairs that appear to lead explorers deeper into sun-flooded groves, most Armonians don't think of Caterpie's Forest as particularly dangerous. Guild leaders send their new recruits here for practice. While most of the wild Pokemon who have taken up residence in the forest are peaceful, the Bug types can be quite territorial...

Kylie grinned as her and Yuichi stood yet again at the entrance of the Caterpie Forest. She was feeling rather confident as her and Yui had been through the forest a few times now and they have been training in between. Kylie even won her very first tournament, though she did feel really bad about hurting that poor little Pichu. As Kylie looked at the entrance, she looked over to her partner and nodded eagerly as she walked into the first room.
As Kylie walked into the next room, she looked around. Normally this first room was empty but that's not to say that a pokemon may be waiting to attack.. but again this room seemed to be rather empty. Kylie looked over to Yuichi and before she could say anything, she saw a berry in a nearby tree. Excited, Kylie ran over and plucked it from the tree. "Look Yui! Another Cherri Berry!" she told him as she proudly put it into her bag.

Yui smiled at the Buneary as she put the berry into her bag. Cherri berries were useful, and she would probably be able to make use of it later. The Spinda followed after his partner, wobbling with each step as he did so, though never falling over (Yuichi was graceful like that). "I hope I find something good, too," he hummed, walking down a path with some particularly pretty, pink flowers.

The flowers led Yuichi to a flowery field, but the team of Pokemon Explorers wasn't alone when they reached it. Another pokemon was enjoying the flowers -- a combee, and she didn't seem pleased to have others interrupt her. This was her field -- her secret spot -- and she didn't want to share it with anyone. Annoyed, she charged at Yuichi.

Before the Combee could attack, however, Yuichi managed to hit first. He swatted her with a tackle attack, knowing full well that if she could come after him, she'd certainly go after Kylie as well. There was no way he would want any other pokemon hurting his best friend. We're just passing through. Don't be mean!" Having said that, he turned his head and looked back at the Buneary. "Let's go. I don't want you getting hurt." He then extended out a paw, offering it to his friend to take.

Kylie giggled as Yui extended his paw. Of course she took his hand then lead him to the next room. She was both excited and eager to see if she would finally have her battle with the boss! She wanted nothing more than to show Yui-chan that she was strong too.... after all, that's why she joined that tournament.

No sooner was he wish granted; she wanted right into the boss's room. Kylie looked up at the large angry butterfree. Perhaps it was upset that Yuichi harmed one of it's friend... she didn't know but what she did know...... was that this Butterfree had to go down!
Kylie ran up to hit the bug-type pokemon with her fire punch attack but before she could even hit.. the Butterfree flew into the air and fluttered it's wings. There was this beautiful glittery cloud coming at her and the next thing Kylie knew was that she had fallen asleep. Upon waking, she realized she had lost that battle and could prove to Yuichi that she was strong. Kylie sat there, feeling down in the dumps. :c

Yuichi frowned when he saw that his friend was drooping, clearly disappointed that she didn't win her battle. In an attempt to cheer her up, he gave her a big, wordless hug and then moved to stand up. "It's okay, Kylie! You'll get 'em next time. We can't win every time."

He really shouldn't have spoken so soon. Just as he said this, an angered Butterfree flew out from the trees where she was napping. How rude that the Spinda and Buneary awaken her beauty rest. Well, shucks! To prepare for battle, the wobbly pokemon stepped in front of his friend, just to be safe. There was no way he was letting the butterfly pokemon attack her.

WIN!
The Butterfree swooped down really quickly. Just as she was about to smash into Yuichi, however, he managed to smack it with a pound attack before she could. For once, the dizzy pokemon got in the first attack. The pound caused the Butterfree, instead of smashing into the two normal types, to fly back and hit the trunk of a tree.
Dazed and clearly upset, the bug type glared at the two before flying off into the forest. She'd find somewhere else to rest. Somewhere more peaceful and quiet.
Once the Butterfree was gone, Yuichi turned and smiled at Kylie. He then offered his hand out to her like he always did. They wouldn't have to worry about any more pokemon for the moment, anyway. He'd take care of her, and she would take care of him, just as teammates should.
Kylie watched Yui kick the butterfree's buttox the help her up. "Great job Yui-chan!" she said with a smile... even though she was even more sad that he could hold his own when she couldn't. The buneary looked around and started pulling Yui to the next pathway.

Kylie walked calmly down a lightened pathway with her teammate, Yuichi. "Hey Yui, after this do you think we could try another dungeon?" She asked as she surveyed the area then adding, "I heard that there was a new one open and I heard that it was super dangerous!" her eye gleamed slightly as she thought of all the adventuring to be done. She then looked down to notice a stick on the ground, "Oh hey! Look Yuuuuui-chan! Another stick!" she exclaimed as she picked it up and put it in her bag.
Items and Exp: Cherri Berry x 1 Stick x 1 Exp = 50
