Marcus wanted to get a bit of info. Rumors here and there- not to mention he'd been hearing about things that could potentially make suns stronger and able to break more things.
Of course, that meant Marcus didn't want to see that happening. Or at least finding out what the hell the suns were doing. So he went to the hunter he thought the best to ask.
In the archives, Marcus sat filing through a few folders, hoping his favorite future lead would show soon.

And Gale, of course, did show - but only because he was doing research of his own, not that it mattered very much. He gave Marcus a raised eyebrow as he walked past.

"Fancy indeed. So-" He shoved a few folders back into the cabinet case, very obviously in the wrong order, yet one folder was kept out. This was what Marcus was now curious about. Artifacts sounded like the thing Caelius would want them looking far. And a thing suns would use to break things.
"So are these a thing then? A thing I should probably be doing?"

"Dammit Marcus."
As he was rearranging the folders yet again, Gale peered over his shoulder at the other hunter, brows furrowing together. "Is what a thing?" he asked, but then caught sight of the leftover folder. Reaching out, he slipped it from Marcus's fingers and glanced down at it.
"Oh," he said. "Yes. Well. I think so, it's been brought up a bit, as of late. I've heard of a few other hunters stumbling across these items, so they've started keeping track. A few of them are known to be rather strong, see, and so they want to make sure everything is under control."

"So..." He flipped through the folder, frowning. "This might explain the rash of ruined walls and distinct orders for more repair work around the base." Looking at Gale's folder rearrangement, Marcus snorted.
"Leave that to some trainee Gale, say-" He draped an arm over his friend. "Wanna help me get one of these things? Maybe it'll end up creating a house barrier."
He could dream couldn't he?

"I'd need more than a barrier, more like a bloody bubble," Gale grumbled, handing the file back to Marcus and shutting the cabinet door, stowing the rest of the files out of sight. He turned around, eyes slightly narrowed, but then he shrugged.
"Sure. What could it hurt?"

Well in theory a lot could go wrong. Painfully so. But he wasn't about to say so, it would chase people off. But... He had his connections. "Tonight then." He decided. That was enough time to go read up and plan a form of 'attack'. "Meet up by the lighthouse portal at dusk. If all goes well, maybe we can get that town barrier going." nyxtsuki moon Dakota bro. Marcus received an excited text back. So when Marcus was on his way off to the lighthouse, his little wife (she was still giggling with delight at her new title), trailed along with him excitedly.

And trailing after Cass was Dakota, because Dakota had been sleeping on Marcus's couch. He was now munching on the half of sandwich that had been leftover in Marcus's fridge.

Grinning to his 'team' the whole 'don't lead missions' rule was in the back of his mind. He wasn't leading he was just... coordinating with death. Secretly. Without Gale really knowing sorry Gale he'd make it up to you with working on that house bubble for you. "Glad to see you all here team." That sounded corny. A cough, he held up the paper. "Er, well, let's get down to business then. Apparently, there is a sunken cave with possible artifacts, ones that we might put to use for the cause as it were. We'll be partially submerged at times, so our time management is critical. When we hit, immediately look for another portal. The one we want should place us directly in the cave itself. That is, deeper in. Make sure you have your runics, as once we're there, we're there. That said-" He gave a small smile. "Thanks for agreeing to come." A quick glance to Ami. Especially to her. "Let's go." As Marcus went through the portal he grunted, boots, skidding slightly on the damp algae covered rock. "Mind your footing." Dis hummed in his head, reasons not yet grasped yet by his hunter. marcus was questing for power, why wouldn't Dis be happy? As Marcus checked the first portal- Nope. That island had fire on it. No thanks. But there is something hostile lurking here... - Rolling 80 or less will lead you to the Haunted House. Ami trailed behind Marcus, considering she didn't really want to work or talk with anyone else. Especially not Dakota.
She was still grouchy about being departed from her precious codex. The only reason she was here was to check if there were missing pages.
"What, interested in roasting alive? I've tried it, it's not fun." Ami was definitely going to be a ball of sunshine. Aren't you glad you brought her Marcus?

Excuse you, Dakota, that was her sandwich. Maybe. Okay, Cass didn't actually care about the sandwich. Still, having someone bumming out on the couch did have a way of being a...joy kill. Cough.
"Oh boy. Underwater caves. Hope there's a city there." Cass winked at her husband - a clear reference to a certain coffee mug she had made for him - before she stepped through the portal as well. Almost immediately on the other side, however, she slipped and nearly went toppling off into the water, making a high pitched noise of surprise that had Nicodemus chuckling in her head.
You're so mortal sometimes.
Still, it was nice to have him there as she started her search for the portal in question.
However, poking her head through the portal she found had her noping right into the sunset back out of it. "I've had my share of hostile-housing of the dead for my lifetime, to be honest." she coughed.
It wasn't that bad.

Marcus had started to make sandwiches to hide in certain parts of the fridge. Mostly as Dakota kept eating them all and he really liked having food on hand. And while he did love the moon, (like a brother), his brother did have the habit of making things difficult at times. Which was factoring into how he was going to spoil Cass when they got back. As Gale managed to find the portal Marcus just let out a rather vacant 'oh' before offering Cass an hand. A smile to Ami, reassurance that yes, he was thankful even if you were going to be a little sassy pants. "Well, suppose that's why you're the death lead in training. Now-" He tested the other side with Dis, who only informed him 'It's wet.' "It's wet". He shrugged, stepping through. Green and blue light, the fact he could see was nice. Even if the footing was just as slick. "s**t- More sea stain rock guys-" a small hissing from not far off, "-Company." He sighed. "Cass, you do support. Dakota, do your thing.
