[Insane Butterfly]

Persephone had taken it upon herself to go adventuring today. Hoping to run across a new type of flower not yet added to her vibrant home. She was very swift and dainty with her quick trot, and it often surprised her mother that she never came home muddy, since she hardly ever watched where she was walking. Pale blue eyes were much too preoccupied keeping a lookout for unknown flowers than mud puddles, as such things were much more important. Hopeful that she would return home with something wonderful, she ventured down a path she had been neglecting until now, and moved deeper into the thick wooded area.

Bly sniffed at a dandelion, his nostrils flaring and sucking up the pollen that the little flower held. Accordingly, he let out a loud ACHOO! and decided it was best not to sniff dandelions so closely. But spring was in the air, and it pleased him. He couldn't help moving to the next yellow sneeze-machine and sniffing it with all of his might. Ahh spring. He thought after sneezing once again and moving towards the next flower. This one was pale blue and was very pretty. He was supposed to be meeting his father soon. He was going to be an uncle, and he was supposed to help care for his mother. But he was going to take his time, he didn't want to deal with his father's boring gloom. Although the thought of younger siblings made him eager to reach his family, the thought of sniffing flowers was more interesting to him.

Besides, he had to catch up on his butterfly hunting. He hadn't seen any throughout the winter. He hated winter for that reason. So now he would find as many as possible...right after he sniffed all these flowers. As he bent to sample the smell of the pale blue one, a pair of bright wings caught his eye. "BUTTERFLY!" he jumped, running towards the blue wings. It was the biggest butterfly he'd ever seen, and he almost peed himself from the sight.

[Insane Butterfly]

Persephone stopped her scouring of the forest when snuffling and sneezing met her ears. Was there a boar not too far? She knew from her parents that she should be careful when they were near, they could be fast and angry. The word 'butterfly' was bellowed and it made her jump, then her attention was fixed on the hoof beats and rustling that was coming her way. She saw a brown figure and it registered that a fellow soquili was running towards her. Sudden realization hit her, and she quickly dashed out of the way so as to not be trampled.

He came to a stop at her side, shaking his mane and grinning wildly. "Butterfly!" he repeated, trying to catch his breath, "there's a giant butterfly on your back!" He hoped it would not fly away before he could catch it, but they always seemed to do that. He had never caught one, despite his constant chasing of the delicate creatures. He sneezed again from the pollen still in his nose and peered at the big, pale blue wings.

"Would you let me catch it?" he asked, his face forming a concentrated frown and his tongue sticking out in focus as he got ready to pounce. He would take it home to show the new foals, and Copper would surely be proud of him.
