Nothing was making sense anymore, and the bottle of whiskey seemingly glued to Jayy's lips wasn't helping the problem.
All he could think about was her smile, the swish of her ears when he spoke or the utter joy she got out of little things that he himself took advantage of as nothing more than obstacles.
Love. This disgusting emotion she had cursed him with... it was soaking deeper into his core with each passing day, and he could no longer separate his own emotions from the ones brought on by her wishing.
That secret demoness, how he wished he could despise her like a normal man would for what she had done to him!
But no... he was cursed to love her and wish to strangle her all at once.
The confliction within him was only numbed by the alcohol pouring down his throat.
And with each gulp, he was becoming less and less aware of anything.
The pouring rain, the thunder and lightning... the fact he was a mere few feet from her front door.
He spat and chucked his empty bottle at her front door.
How dare that b***h! HOW DARE SHE CURSE HIM WITH CONFLICTED THOUGHTS!
He slumped on the ground, the water cascading over him from the sky his own emotional distraught come to life with nature.
He was soaked and miserable.

Cal was simply moving around her apartment, doing her best to clean anything that felt dusty or nudging things slightly to the left or right... When she had a million things on her mind, she couldn't curl up with an audio book or choreograph dances or really do anything that required concentration. On top of that, storms always made her so jumpy and twitchy, the noises throwing off her senses and making her feel like a kit. She just needed to be busy, be distracted... And being unable to see made cleaning a task that helped her a lot more than most, keeping her mind focused on moving about while letting it wander at the same time.

After a while, she sighed and flopped down in place. The storm outside was growing worse... The thunder, the lightning... she wished she could see the lightning. Wished... Dammit!!! Cal let out a half growl, half cry of frustration. Why? Why did all of this happen? She had only wanted to enjoy peace and quite for a moment in her otherwise miserable life, enjoy the company of the spirits, try to forget that Noodles avoided her like the plague and pretend she could see the stars... Then he came along. And she did see stars. And herself. And him. And everything else for just a few sweet seconds. But her wish... she hadn't wished for sight, and its a darn good thing, too. No, what she did wish for was a million times worse... She knew he hated her... but... feelings could change, right? One could always change...

She sighed again, and flopped her head down on her paws. Then, suddenly, her head shot back up as she felt him. Wha? In this storm? What the flying witches broom was he doing? Cal stayed still for what seemed like ages, her ears flicked back to minimize the sounds of the storm, body so still one might think she was Chuck Testa'd, mind focused on his aura...

"YIPE!!!" Cal nearly jumped out of her skin when something collided with her door, the sound of shattering glass making her fur stand on end. Jayy was merely a few feet from her door. By the time she flung the door open and darted outside to make him come in out of the rain, she was already sounding like a scolding mother.

"Jayy Von Monroe what on Deities green earth are you doing out here? You're going to catch a cold, you idiot! Get your soaked butt inside! Come on. What the hell were you thinking?" Of course, she wasn't thinking and managed to slice her paw on his broken bottle, tromping right over it. "Ouch! Dammit, Jayy, whats the matter with you?" She frowned, her lips pursing together, ears laid flat down as she herself got soaked, holding her paw inches off the ground. Of course, she goes out to care for him and ends up hurt herself. Good going, Cal.

Oh, great. Just what he needed, for her to come outside.
His heart leaped in his throat at the sound of her voice, but he refused to look at her, ashamed of his state.
Until she was hurt.
His gaze shot up in an instant, sobering for a mere second or two before seeing that his bottle was the culprit. Snarling, he took her paw and gently kissed her pad, licking off the blood and all-in-all trying to make it better and providing a very.. intimate setting before he realized what he was doing and dropped her paw as if burned. Damn, damn, damn!
"Go inside." He barked, attempting to turn away from her, though in his drunken state he only managed to tumble sideways and land on his butt.
"Demons don't catch illnesses like you. I'll survive." He hissed softly, half-tempted to add a few curses her way but the throbbing in his temple preventing it much like his heart would.
Still, he had to give her credit. He somehow actually had a heart in that black cavity in his chest he'd come to fill with demonic strength over the years.

The girl nearly keeled over when suddenly he was tending to her paw, and she felt her eyes go wide with astonishment. Then her face softened. Big Bad Demon Boy was, for a brief moment, acting like he cared. Did he? Nah... it was just the wish... wasn't it? She hated this. Above everything, Cal wanted someone to love her. Thanks to his power and her intuition, he did. But she knew it was a forced love... and she quickly learned that a forced love was just as bad as not being loved. It was moments like these, however, that kept her hoping, wishing, one day, he might actually really feel what she made him feel. As of late, he seemed to be acting more and more gentle towards her... And she found herself questioning the real reasons behind it.

At his words, she simply snorted, then her ears lurched forward when she heard his steps falter and a soft thud-squish of a body hitting wet earth. "Jayy..." She limped toward him, questioningly, then caught the scent of what was in that bottle to begin with.

She sighed. "You're drunk."

He opened his mouth to object, but couldn't find the words to say it.
His world was spinning; he was indeed drunk.
He laughed. The sound was alien to him.
"I may be drunk.... but I'm not... drunk." He slurred, wobbling in her direction to prod her lightly in the shoulder after managing to get off the ground.
Of all the alcohol he consumed, he was surprised he'd gotten anywhere at all. But it was finally starting to kick in; even his demonic blood couldn't fight off inebriation.
He collided with her shoulder, face shoved against her neck and he just... rested a moment. Her pulse was a fantastic sound to his ears.
And for a moment, he did picture her as a demon like himself, capable of cruelty and malice much like his own, and his heart skipped a beat.
Hell was probably freezing over right about now.
But even he, with all his strength, could muster enough to lift his head off of her.
He was trashed.
"I could use a shot." He murmured against her fur.

He... what? Cal just stared in his direction for a second, her mind trying to piece everything together. Then she about jumped ten feet when suddenly he crashed into her shoulder and nearly knocked her over. She managed to stay on her paws, and froze. What the hell was he doing? He was... leaning on her. This was... different. She'd never, in her whole life, been in this position. Never had such... intimate contact with another Noodle. Well, not since her mom, but that didn't count. This was... Ok. Wow. Yeah.

Calais swallowed, trying to remember how to think, hardly remembering how to breathe. What on earth was she to make of this? Drunk. That's what it had to be. He was drunk. She'd seen drunk Noodles. Mostly they were just idiots, or dangerous. The demon? Nope, he became a cuddle bug.

Mind = blown.

She tried to hold back a shiver when he spoke, his breath hot on her cold, wet fur. A shot? "I... I have vodka..."

"That'll work." His muffled voice was probably goin unheard, but when he lifted his head and started stumbling his way towards her house, maybe she would take the hint to go inside.
Wait, she was blind. He paused mid-step and grabbed her gently, tugging her along after him in his wobbly direction.
He growled lightly, "Tell the ground to stop moving so much."

It was a miracle how fast he'd forgotten his previous woes, but all of a sudden it came back like a hammer smash to the skull.
Her. It was all her, and would always be her. He glanced back at her, the sudden movement causing him to veer slightly to the right in his walking and he had to stop suddenly.
"You know what... put that in a high-ball glass, if you can." He spat, shoving her ahead if him in the direction of the house and grabbing her tail for balance. Drunken bipolar behavior was the only thing he could manage, but it was better than trying to kill off a bunch of random innocent noodles. He sneered lightly. Cal wouldn't like if he did that, would she?

She stayed frozen until he tugged her, and she stumbled almost as badly as he did. This was all too strange behavior...

Although, she found herself a little peeved when he told her to scold the ground. "At least you can see it..." She growled under her breath, the huffed. "Yeah, I think I got one or two of those. I think I'll pour me one as well. Just help me over your stupid broken glass..." She swayed as he yanked her tail, and had to stifle a yelp as her paws trampled over the glass once again.

Once they made it inside, she practically pinned him to the door. "Stay." She glared, then darted into the kitchen. Once she located a small hand towel, she dried her paws and wrapped it around the tip of her tail to soak up as much rain as it could, then retrieved a couple towels from the bathroom for them to properly dry off with, as well as wrapped bandages around both her tattered paws. Once satisfied he wasn't going to soak her carpet, she wandered back into the kitchen to locate the glasses and the vodka. "Want a chaser?"

The towels weren't going to cut it for Jayy, and the minute she was running back to the kitchen, he made himself cozy with a blazing fireplace.
Sometimes, it was fun having abilities out of the ordinary.
"Hell no." He wrinkled his nose at her suggestion. Like he wanted to ruin perfectly good alcohol with a chaser. The small gate that was used to keep the fire from the rest of the room, Jayy took upon himself to use as a clothesline.
Within moments, her was stripped of everything but his underwear and it had been thrown on the little gate a cluttered mess, and he made his way over to the couch to lounge in front of the heat. Heck, he could make it as intense as he wanted and not burn the furniture, and that's what he intended on doing.
But he made sure the furniture didn't get wet from his fur as well.
He stole a glance towards Cal, admiring the patterns on her fur, and he blushed.
What the hell?!
Blushing?!
He quickly slapped a paw over his face so she couldn't see... and was reminded that she had no sight. Oh. Right.
But the blazing color in his cheeks wasn't from the alcohol and it wasn't going away. So he just waited for her to come back, unsure if it was her wish or his own coddling desires that wanted her to be near him, to get warm next to the fire together.
Damn it.

It didn't take the blind girl long to find the glasses and the drink, as she had long familiarized herself with the layout of her kitchen. She poured the glasses to the top, listening to the sound of the liquid to measure it, and put the glasses on a tray to bring into the living room, where she could feel Jayy getting cozy with the fireplace.

Oh, right.

Cal carefully set the drinks on the table beside him, then switched on the lamp on the same table. She never used lighting, never needed it, but she had to remember to turn it on when others came over... Even if 'others' consisted only of her demon lover who probably had no issue being in the dark. Still, it was polite.

Once she flopped down with her drink on the other side of the couch, she 'reached' out to him. He felt... odd. Almost... loving? For a brief moment, she was shocked... then she snorted amusement. Nah. It had to be the booze making her wish stronger in him, or his resistance weaker to it anyway.

... Right?

The tray had barely reached the table before he'd taken up his liquor, downing a good portion of it before he spoke.
"I half-expected you to bring water or something to sober me up." He mused, scoffing at her lack of maternal instinct. He was grabbing at anything he could to seem repulsed by the woman who'd turned his life around, even if he was admiring her for being clever and her looks.
He cleared his throat, the air between them heavy with the lack of conversation, but quite obvious tension.
His cup would need to be refilled. He managed to set his cup down before curling into a fetal position, resting his head on her lap. He didn't give her any warning, and a curt snarl escaped his lips, "Don't. Speak."
He hated this fondness he held for her, and he caught himself glancing upwards at her from the corner of his eye. She was attractive... the sooner she released him, the better. Then she could go off and find someone that really loves her.
And that thought would bring a growl deep in his throat that he wasn't aware of quite yet, the idea of someone else touching this woman... his woman....
He clung possessively to her leg in his drunken stupor, looking like nothing more than a giant toddler as he pictured the most horrific things... mostly involving watching her writhe as he burned her future mate alive, smirking to himself.

Cal huffed. "And if I tried to pull that on you, you'd probably slash me despite the wish." She wasn't stupid. The last thing she wanted to do was piss him off more, especially while in such a drunken state. No, she knew that even when Noodles loved each other, they could still harm each other in fits of anger. Especially drunk.

Her nerves were on edge with the tension in the room; what would be simply uncomfortable for a normal Noodle was down right nerve-wracking for her, the empath. She had just taken a large drink of vodka when his head was suddenly on her lap. Instantly she went rigid, and she nearly shuddered at his snarl. What in blue blazes was he doing? Despite his instructions, she found herself muttering, "Sir, yes, sir..."

When he clung to her leg, she found herself relaxing, much to her surprise. He seemed to want to... cuddle? Really? For a moment Cal had a thought that maybe this wasn't Jayy, she'd been confused, perhaps he didn't catch that she'd called him by a different name and was so drunk he didn't realize who she was... But a quick feel assured her it was indeed the very demon who lay in her lap, like a child... or a lover.

After a moment, she found the paw that wasn't holding her vodka actually stroking his long, still-damp hair...

It's always when you're the most intoxicated that you get the brightest ideas, and Jayy was at that point.
He was enjoying the feel of her touch, taking in her warmth... then he was struck with an idea.
What would happen if he kissed her?
Would he be sick to his stomach, or would it... be nice?
He sat up so suddenly, his tail nearly toppled his glass of alcohol and he stared at her a moment, on the verge of backing out of his initial plan.
But he wouldn't.
A breath's moment, and he was pressing his mouth against hers, a paw to her cheek to make sure she didn't back away right away.
The warmth seemed to spread throughout his entire body, warmer than even the fireplace that was drying his fur.
What the hell was love, capable of this?!
PostPosted: Sun Apr 28, 2013 12:50 pm

When Jayy was suddenly gone from her lap, Cal cringed, thinking he was pissed off... But then he kissed her.

Kissed her.

Cal was sure she'd have fallen over if he wasn't holding her in place. A million thoughts raced through her head at once. Why? Was it only because of the booze? Was he really starting to love her? How dare he! She was having a hard enough time separating real from wish as it were, and here he was making it worse! Did this mean he was really starting to fall for her? She had been hoping, in the back of her mind... And what if he did? Would she release him? And what if this was just a ruse? What if he wasn't really drunk? Maybe he was manipulating her, making her think he loved her despite the wish so she'd let him go? And if she let him go, would he flee from the woman who bound him, or kill her?

Of all the things she thought, there was one thing she knew.

Cal allowed herself to enjoy the warmth she couldn't help but feel. After all, she'd never been kissed before... When her initial shock wore off, that thought hit her, and she giggled against his lips. Then, she gently put a paw over his, and pulled away. "Lover boy, if you're going to throw me for a doozy like that, I'm going to need more vodka~"

He growled softly; possessively.
"I'm not that bad at it..." He murmured, his face showing the faint redness of his embarrassment. However, he made no attempt to move, gazing at her with a mixture of longing and confusion.
How do you handle love, so used to the hatred you'd hardened yourself to being? And here he was with someone who had wished for it.
Wished.
Wished.
Hell no. She could wish for love but all of this... these.... feelings.
What the hell.
He pulled back for a moment, hesitant.
Then cursed out loud, "Forget the damn vodka." before going for a more passionate kiss, one he'd been trying to avoid and just.... couldn't resist.
Not with that playful tone in her voice, coaxing him.
