Today Junjie was on a different sort of mission when it came to the Ysali. No longer was he running and hiding from the dragons, instead he was actually out looking for one of the scary green beasts. He wanted to learn more about the Ysali so that he would be able to be ready when it came to dealing with them. To this point he had done his best to out run them and hide from them but after the last time he'd done that he decided that he wanted to become braver like Erionda was. She was brave enough to go up to one of them and take a swing! It was something that he couldn't help but to admire the girl for and as such he wanted to become just as brave and just as strong! Before that though he meant to try to be smarter then the beasts, he would follow them, learn from them, and he would become ready for to face off against them! That was the plan at least.
It took him a little longer then normal to find one of the Ysali but when he did the boy instantly hit the ground, blending in fairly well with the brown earth and the clumps of grass. He gave a little smile as he slipped closer to where the Ysali was at the moment, watching it as it went about its day. Observing the creature was rather slow going but as time passed he started to learn more and more about the creature, about what it was capable of, and how it dealt with capturing its food. The way that the Ysali went about things, he could see those skills as actually being rather useful. How it was able to use the vines that grew in this forest to entangle prey. The Ysali even seemed as though it was capable of using a healing ability making him realize that such a power was a quite a useful one. Imagine if he had power like that he found himself thinking. He knew that he would need to choose a clan one day and a part of him was leaning toward Ysali now.
If he were able to entangle potentially dangerous people to allow himself to escape, if he were able to heal wounds that those same dangerous people were able to deal out. He really didn't want to risk facing off against such people, would rather do with them like he was doing at the moment with this Ysali, he wanted to hide himself, try to blend in, and not allow them to get him... but would he be safe forever? He doubted it very highly, as such he would need to be ready for the day that he had to defend himself. He didn't quite understand why people disliked those with mixed blood so much, if anything it confused him greatly since he had been born between parents that had loved one another. There were tensions between the various races his Mom had told him so maybe that was why the love between those races wasn't something that was well received?
He supposed that someone like him, as well as the other hybrids he'd met, were proof of such love. It was odd to him that love was something others didn't care for even if he could understand it to a point. Making a bit of a face he continued to creep along after the Ysali for a while longer before it started up a tree and out of sight, something that made him stick his tongue out at the retreating Ysali's tail, "That wasn't very nice." He muttered, he was trying to learn from that Ysali and it had run off! Giving a bit of a pout he decided that this meant that it was probably time to either head home or find a new Ysali to follow since he'd lost track of the current one. Either way though he had a good idea about what it was that they were capable of, "Mmm, maybe I should become Ysali too." He mused to himself, deciding that he would need to run it by his mother and see what she thought about the idea even if it meant explaining to here where he'd gotten the idea from.
He knew their powers, knew how such powers would be useful to Junjie keeping himself and others safe if the need arose, so why wouldn't he want to become a Ysali? So long as he didn't get jumped by anyone dangerous before he was able to figure out what exactly he had to do to become Ysali himself.
