The plip plip of blood dropping on the sandy earth below their feet was the constant reminder to the duo on how fragile life could be. Although the dovaa man Borrum had managed to escape with his life (an encounter with a group of adventurers who had ..reacted poorly upon discovering his hybrid daughter), he had still managed to attain a rather deep wound in his thigh, and this was a problem. It made supporting his weight almost impossible and thus the man was forced to relay on the only other one around his daughter Tilawen.
The young girl was doing as best she could manage, a life of constant distance had led her to feel uncomfortable at being in close contact with anyone even her own father. Stiff as she helped to support him, they walked in the direction Borrum dictated as he seemed to know the area quite well. Leaving the group they had run across to nurse their own wounds. This always led the young girl to admire her fathers skills although in a quiet way and she would never admit it to him.
Moving along the young girl couldn't remember ever coming to a place like this in their travels, as they were so rarely in a place long or in the same place twice so she was heavily dependent on directions not that he was hesitant on giving out the orders. To add salt to the wound the clouds had begun to thunder above them in a menacing fashion, it was sure to pour soon and though it would wash away the blood trail being stuck out in rain was sure to boil away any civility that remained in the dovaa man.
It had been awhile since Borrum had given any change in their dierction and Tilawen silently wondered if he had gone into a stupor, risking a look at his face, she could note the pained expression that only stated she should not question him. Focusing her gaze back to the ground she was careful about where she stepped, she didn't want to risk tripping and given another reason stacked against her being alive. Though the man had never threatened her directly, or harmed her in any physical fashion, there were other injustices that had occurred over the years that worked against her. Causing a very withdrawn, an quiet individual who ...had the barest of social skills.
Their relationship was... a concoction of obligation and self loathing. There whom the loathing was aimed towards over was confused, and the young girl was often the root of his angry outbursts. The training dummy back home had been replaced several times...
"I said stop."
Blinking Tilawen didn't realize that Burrom had been speaking to her, focusing so hard on the road before her, thinking of back home and so she stopped abruptly causing the man to curse under his breath. Tilawen felt her body tremble though not out of fear mostly anxiety was beginning to rear its ugly head. There was a structure in front of them and she recognized it to be a house, which meant someone must live there.
Tilawen had an eye for detail, she knew someone must live in that house, the surrounding area was too neat, there was smoke coming from a chimney and she could of sworn she saw movement coming from a window. Without being asked she withdrew from Burrom's side. He was a proud man and would stand on his two feet if he could and she brought her cloak ad hood tightly around her body and looked to the ground as was expected of her.
Don't speak, don't do anything. Looking to the ground she knew Borrum would go to the door, probably ask to speak to someone inside and she was to stay there, or if invited inside to try not to draw attention to herself. Sure enough she heard his staggering footsteps move forward and then a heavy thud of a fist against a door.

It was a cool day with off and on thunderstorms, something that the Dovaa Doctor Lien had come to be a fan of because the rain was a good way to keep her son from wandering off on his own. The last thing that she wanted was for him to go too far or risk getting injured, she wanted him to stay safe and after what he'd brought home with him after one of his last outings she started to be a little more iffy about him going about his own devices. While she would like to believe that the worst possible thing that he might do was bring home a big, strange egg that might hatch into just about anything. So long as it wasn't some sort of massive Froglop she supposed that she wouldn't mind too terribly... she just couldn't stand those hoppy little things. Giving a shake of her head the woman walked passed her son who was sitting on the floor in the middle of the kitchen, arms wrapped around his egg, seeming to be mothering it at the moment, "Junjie... you aren't a bird... you don't need to be sitting on that thing all day." She murmured to him in a teasing manner before she gave a pause before the window, seeing movement that drew her attention.
Almost instantly the woman went from relaxed and at east to being in protective mode, stepping closer to the window she watched as the two figures started to approach the house and she turned to her son, "Junjie, take the egg to your room, quickly." She told him in a no nonsense tone that had the pushing up to his feet instantly, scooping up the watermelon sized egg into his arms.
"Mom... what is it?" He asked in a hushed tone but instead of an answer the woman stayed at the window, starring out it while she lifted a hand to wave it at him in a dismissive manner. She was on edge, something that had him feeling the same, and after only a moment of trying to peek around her he turned on his heel and hurried out of the kitchen, down the hall, and into his room. The boy kicked the door to his room closed before trotting over to his bed, putting the egg down on it, and dragged a blanket over it, "You hide here." He told it, making sure to pull the curtains in his room closed, not wanting anyone to go peeking inside. Next thing he did was that he hurried to his dresser, hiding the two orbs that normally sat there into his top drawer, and from there he went back to his door, pressing his ear to it to listen in, trying to see if he might hear what it was that was going on out there. Hopefully nothing too dangerous as he didn't want anything scary to get anywhere near his mother! If they tried he'd get his trusty walking stick and hit them with it!
Outside of the room Lien took a deep breath to steady herself before she went to open up the door, "You needn't knock my door in to get my attention." She told the man on the other side of the door before recognition sparked in her eyes, "Ahhh, Borrum, it has been a lot time." She said, stepping back, "Do come in, the both of you, nobody wants to stand around in rain like this. Not when it's just begging for the lightning to come falling down upon you." She said, inviting the pair of them into her house, taking in the look of the two, especially the small, cloaked individual, before the familiar scent of copper reached her nose, "Ahh... one of you is injured?" She said, looking the pair over to see who it was who was giving off the all too familiar scent of blood. Not the reason why she wanted for Borrum to stop by but then again she couldn't say that he was always the most friendly. Their relationship was... tense, to say the least.
"Come, we will go to the room I use as my clinic." She murmured, wanting to see to the wound as quickly as possible. The quicker she saw to it the less of a chance that her patient would get weak from blood loss or suffer an infection, neither of which made her job any easier.

Borrum had been clutching his side although he was trying to remain tall and his pride always got the best of him, it was perhaps a quality that Tilawen had picked up from him, although it had twisted into more of a reliance on only herself and not others. Burrom on the other hand recognized when he needed help, and a healer was always welcomed when one was injured. A smile was on his face if crooked, typical Borrum as if taking her lecture as a joke.
"Sorry to come on such short notice Lien, I had hoped to visit without bleeding all over your floor. Though it seems to be a running theme with my previous visits." The man stated with a small shrug of his shoulders as if it was still no big deal. There was much revealed in these two sentences, one was the fact he had visited before, second was that it normally was for the same reason as today. Tilawen found this interesting though she would never say so to him or ask about their history.
Borrum hesitated as the woman invited them both inside, he had known Lien a long time and her compassion towards everyone and thus felt it should be safe to bring the young girl in. If they were turned away then he would just have to bribe someone to heal him then.
Before he got a chance to say anything a loud crash of thunder erupted in the air nearby, it caused Burrom to jump though the girl seemed almost numb to the sound barely moving to show any signs of surprise. Giving a nervous laugh the man glanced over his shoulder to look at the girl who hadn't moved and wouldn't until instructed by the barest of gestures by him to move inside.
"Looks like we managed to beat the worst of it." Borrum mentioned off-handedly, it was obvious he was more comfertable with this woman than he had been with anyone else they had ever come across, even his own parents. It was something Tilawen found...curious. After all he was general so cold...distant to see him acting in this manner caused her to watch his every movement, relish every word spoken...but instead she would enter the home with her father quietly not saying a word as the door was shut behind them.
Nervous she did the only thing she knew was expected of her, remain quiet and stay still. Don't draw attention to herself. And so once inside the home she went to stand in a corner out of the way.

Lien gave a soft sigh as Burrom spoke of wanting to come by when he wasn't bleeding out on her floor before she gave him a gentle sort of smile, "It seems that blood and a lot of extra work are the only gifts that you ever bring to me, Burrom, you sure do know how to woo a woman." She told him in a manner that sounded serious though her eyes were twinkling as she led the way down the hall, opening the door that led to a big, open room that smelled heavily of various herbs. It had a few different cots in it in case she had multiple patients, and a lot of various cabinets and shelves filled with the various supplies and tools needed by one of her vocation. She slowly turned to look at the smaller cloaked figure who seemed to be keeping utterly quiet, so different from her chatty son. Deciding to deal with her first she addressed the girl, "Tilawen, I presume? If you would stand outside of the door while I tend to Burrom's wounds I would be most appreciative." She said to the girl, certain that he wouldn't want to bare his wounds before anyone but the person that was going to stitch him up. He had always been a man of overwhelming pride after all, "There is food in the kitchen, you are welcome to any of it that you might want, the sweets included."
Looking down the hallway at a closed door the woman debated with herself for a moment before she called out, "Junjie! See to our young guest while I tend to my newest patient!" It would be alright, how much flack could Burrum give her when his own daughter was what Junjie was? Turning to giver her full attention back to Burrom she said, "It would be best if we get you could of your wet things and into something dry. A fever on top of a wound will only slow down the healing process, something I am sure you don't wish to see happen." She said, walking across the road, digging into the one of the cabinets, and tossed an over sized tunic onto one of the cots before she fetch him a towel to dry off with, "Once we get you dried up and changed I will see to your wound. Does that sound alright?" As though she would give him the choice, she just liked to make it seem as though her patients had an option when really she was leading them down the path that was the best for them.
Down the hall the door creaked open and a supremely curious Junjie poked his head out, wondering who it was that he was supposed to be tending to. A guest? He'd never been asked to look after a guest before! This was so exciting! Who was it? At first glance... he had no idea. Someone in a cloak but that someone was rather short, weren't they? The boy with the mismatched horns looked over his shoulder to make sure the egg that was 'hidden' on his bed at the moment was still safe and warm before he slipped out of his room, padding barefoot down the hallway to where the cloaked form was standing, "Hello there! I'm Junjie!" He chirped, leaning in closer in an attempt to get a peek under the hood to see who it was that he was dealing with.

Burrom gave a start when Lien called out Tilawen's name. He had almost forgotten about telling her about the girl and had gotten so use to hiding her that it felt strange that someone not only knew of her existence but 'welcomed' her into their home. Of course ...he had also forgotten that Lien had her own little history and as the young boy popped his head out he could see the small wings flapping behind his back indicating his origins.
TIlawen of course never expected to be addressed by name, after all she had never met this woman before and she wondered idly if she could read minds....it seemed beyond her comprehension that Borrum may of told someone about her. Things always went badly in that respect. Shifting she looked uncomfortable having the attention drawn to her and her skin crawled when suddenly there was a face in her little space looking up at her trying to see who was hiding in the cloak. Taking a step backwards trying to regain some of that personal bubble that was invaded she looked to Burrom in desperation. She didn't know what to do, what was expected of her in this situation but her father had ...as per the norm returned his attention solely to Lien so she was expected to deal with the situation herself.
Rather than respond she remained silent, her hands twisting in the folds of her skirt to show her discomfort.
"Go with the boy Tilawen." Came the instructions Tilawen had thought would never come. A wave of relief flashing through her as it meant she didn't have to try and figure out what she needed to do. Though she wished the boy would keep his distance. Moving to 'face' the boy she nodded her head slightly before continuing to look at the ground. Rather interested in his feet, since...she dare not look into his face.
After all the last time she dealt with children she had been stoned, and part of her wished to never repeat that situation again.
Borrum sighed, "You'll have to take her there yourself boy, she seems to be afraid of you."
Tilawen felt her eyes widen, a slap across the face had been about the same as those words stung. She wasn't afraid!! Tilawen felt tears brim in the corner of her eyes though she was quick to stop them. Weakness...was not an option here, it only spurred those to try and kill you faster if you showed weakness. The young girl wanted to shout at Burrom declare she wasn't afraid but she wouldn't she would only remain silent , forcing herself to look up she looked squarely at the boy who had invaded her field of vision only moments before.
Her body was trembling slightly, after all she wasn't the type to face people in such a manner, but her green glowing eyes locked onto Junjie's face a grim expression on her face.
"Let's go." Her words were quiet but firm.

Junjie glanced up at the big Dovaa man, not nearly as big as Mister Arick, but still exceedingly intimidating. He didn't say a word, eyes getting rather wide, and he closed his wings tightly to his back, willing them to go away but with no luck. The things really were going to get him in trouble one day he thought to himself before he turned to look at the girl who was labeled as being 'afraid of him' words that didn't really seem to make sense to Junjie. Someone... was afraid of him? Was such a thing actually possible? Of that he didn't have a clue and as he glanced toward the one in the cloak he decided that he would just have to do his best to be... less scary? How exactly he was supposed to go about that he had no idea but he would do his best.
As the girl lifted her head Junjie's eyes went wide with surprise and amazement before he squeaked out, "Oh wow! You look just like Tyrok!" Then clapped a hand over his mouth, realizing what he'd said... but if his mother heard him there was no sign, the door to the clinic was closed now cutting them off from the adults, and that meant that he might not have let that important secret slip in front of people that wouldn't be all that pleased to hear it. Once he was sure that his mother wasn't going to come bursting out of the clinic to demand to know what he meant he took a couple steps closer to the cloaked girl, giving a smile, "Wow! You have the same sort of skin and eyes and everything!" He said in a hushed tone before asking a rather bizarre question, "Do you have any scales?" Tyrok had scales on his darkly colored skin... but at first glance, and given she was wearing a hood, it was hard to tell if this girl had any.
At the words 'let's go' he nodded his head, "Oh! Right, right." He said, moving to walk backwards toward the kitchen so that he could keep a good eye on her, obviously curious about who she was, who her father was, why he was employed to look after her, and many other questions. Their parents must know each other in some capacity he decided, it was the only reason why he'd be allowed out of his room save for if there was an emergency that she needed an extra set of hands for. That was most certainly not today since the parents were now locked away in the clinic leaving himself alone with this girl.
"So! What do you want to do?" He asked, as they reached the kitchen, turning to trot over to the counter, reaching out to scoop up a couple of the cookies that sat there, offering one to the cloaked girl, lifting the other to his mouth, "Do you want to find something dry to wear?" He asked, wondering if that was what his mother meant by seeing to their young guest. She was dripping everywhere, wasn't she? He might have to see to that.

Once again the poor girl was overwhelmed, it was perhaps the first child around her own age who didn't instantly shy away from her appearance or a moment later go shouting for an adult to deal with her appearance. Of course after a moment of looking Junjie over it was apparent he was also a mix breed but at least he could blend into a crowd easier than she could. As Burrom disappeared behind a door instead of relaxing she felt unease roll through her. Some how she had expected her father to at least be in the same room as her them. Now alone with a boy she was just introduced to she wanted to be left alone.
Though at the mention of someone named Tyrok she had to wonder just who this person was. The same skin? The same eyes? Reaching up she pulled down her hood after a moment of hesitation, maybe this Tyrok had the same kind of hair? Unlikely but she couldn't help but feel her hopes lift a bit, if there were others like her, then that meant that life surely hadn't intended her to be a mistake. Of course by lowering her good it showed off her strange flat like horns that were defiantly not symmetrical.
She had a million questions swimming around her head but...she asked none of them. This Tyrok person was not likely here and maybe they were not even a real person. Her silence was just how she was, never asked to speak or voice her opinion unless forced it felt unnatural for her to speak idly. Of course her voice would be needed for the questions he kept asking that required answers. What did they want to do? Tilawen had no idea what he meant, should they not just sit quietly and wait for the adults to be done? At the question of dry clothes she looked down at her rather damp attire. The folds of her dress hung heavily along her legs and they were leaving a little puddle on the floor where she stood. Would it be alright to change?
Catching a cold could be disastrous for her as it would only slow Burrom down, so changing clothes seemed like the most practical option. Giving a nod of her head to confirm she would like to change her green eyes lingered on Junjie's wings a bit envious..her own stubby bony structures would never qualify for flight and made it uncomfortable to sleep.

As the girl that he was more chatting at then chatting with pulled back her hood he gave an 'Ooooooo' sound, "Wow! You have really pretty colored hair! We have some flowers in the garden about that color though... well... we can't really go out to see them, it's way to rainy for that." He said, then looked up at her horns and he gave another sound of interest, "Hey! You have neat grooves you in your horns." He said, as though she didn't know that already. Lifting a hand he looked as though he might try to poke at one of her horns, curious about those strange grooves that they had in them, "Are those grooves natural?" He asked in a curious manner, wondering it were that or if they were something she did herself for fashion reasons.
She seemed to remain quiet though even as he kept on going with the conversation, pausing from time to time to give her a chance to answer... but she didn't. Did she not talk? What was it his mother called that before in the past, mute? Was she mute? Huh... that was odd. Well, she seemed to be able to hear just fine so maybe that meant that he had to keep up the conversation between them? Otherwise it would end up a little awkward, huh? The boy stood there for a moment in silence, feeling a bit of relief when the girl finally gave him some sort of indication that she was listening to him and wasn't bored by his chatting, "Alright, dry clothes it is! I have some in my room that should fit you if you don't mind wearing boy clothes?" Some of his clothing was quite pretty, something that was likely due to having just a mother picking them out for him he thought to himself.
Junjie was quick to grab up a few more of the cookies off the plate before motioning to the girl, "Alright, this way then." He said, leading the way down the hall to where his room was, turning to glance at the big lump on the bed before going to his dresser so that he could dig around in it, "You can probably get changed in the bathroom after we pick some stuff out for you." He said, wings giving a little flutter before they faded away, back into the tattoo state on his back. His excitement had calmed, allowing such a thing to happen, though were he to get startled or excited again they would more then likely pop back up again. He was getting a little better at keeping them in check but it was never a definite thing that they would obey.

Tilawen blinked, so the one he had mentioned must not share the same color hair as herself. His hand was raised as if to poke her and she couldn't help but lean her head back to get out of reach, being touched was...a no no...this boy was too close for her own comfort, luckily he seemed easily distracted and was suddenly asking her about if she minded wearing boy clothes. Then went to go gather strange things on the table she had never seen before, they looked like really flat biscuits.
Turning to look at them more closely she didn't get a chance to really give a good look before Junjie was now moving down the hall to the presumed place where the clothes would be kept. This meant she needed to follow right? Giving the cookies another careful look she then moved to follow the young boy.
"I don't mind." She responded albeit a little delayed from when he had asked if she minded wearing boys clothes but this was just how Tilawen was, she was thinking and since she didn't talk very much she found that her response time was a lot slower than one would think. Unable to help herself she pointed at the cookie giving him a questioning look as if hoping he would understand that she didn't know what it was that was in his hands.

When Tilawen spoke Junjie instantly spun around, his purple eyes going quite wide, "Wow! So you're not mute then!" He said, sounding quite excited about this new bit of information. Given her complete silence to this point he had almost been positive that she wasn't able to talk and yet she'd done it! It was quite wonderful to hear, because it meant that while she didn't talk much that she could. As such maybe she would consider answering some of the questions that he had been throwing her way? He sure hoped so, "Alright! If you don't mind then I will be sure to get you something nice." He assured her, then gave pause when he noticed that she was pointing at what he was holding in his hands, "Oh! Do you want to try some now?" He asked, before he counted what he had, then handed half of them over to her, "Here, we can each have two for now. My mom makes really good cookies! These ones are chocolate chip and oatmeal." He explained, so that she would know what she was eating.
He put one cookie down on top of the dress, one in his mouth, and then set to work digging around in his dresser for a time. After a while he gave a smile as he took a few things for her that were on the prettier end of the spectrum, most certainly something that his mother had picked out for him. He didn't mind giving it over to her to wear, sure that she would look better in it then he ever had, "Alright, you wear this." He said, walking a little closer to her, handing the clothing over, "Alright, we should probably find you a towel so that you can dry off then get changed." He said after he took the orbs out of his top drawer, replacing them on the fancy pillows that sat on his dresser, picked up his second cookie, and turned to face the redhead again.
"I can lead you to the bathroom now if you want to go and get changed in there." He told her, motioning for the girl to follow along after him once more, seeming as though he were having a lot of fun leading her around, chatting with her, and sharing various things with her. He didn't get out near as much as he would like, and when he did half the time he was on his own, so this was a great change of pace.

Tilawen felt herself take a half step backwards, this kid was too lively for her. Too much energy and he spoke a lot and all these things made the poor girl feel really nervous. And though she knew what the word mute meant she wasn't exactly sure what he meant. She had spoken to him once before, when they had first been left alone perhaps he was forgetful as well.
Of course rather than respond she found herself with a handful of the cookies shoved in her direction. Okay so these must be eatable. When the boy continued forward the young woman looked the strange flat things over, taking in their scent and texture. It smelt very sweet, and she wasn't sure if it was safe to eat. Still she lifted it to her lips and took the smallest of bites, surprised at the explosion of flavor she was at a loss for words (not that, that was unusual). Staring at the cookie she clutched the others close to her chest as she quietly nibbled on the one she had started on.
Watching him with her glowing green eye's she watched as dresser's were pulled open and clothes sorted through. She was a bit lost when it came to clothes...she had perhaps three outfits to choose from and it all depended on the weather. To have so much, cause the girl to feel jealous...clothes...a mother who didn't seem ashamed to him, and cookies.
Her eyes locked onto the orbs that were removed from a drawer, she had seen them before...her father collected them on occasion when he would fell feral drakein's there were being a menace. Did that mean the boy...was able to get these on his own? That put him in a completely different light. To defeat a drakein meant they must be strong..or at least have some skill and this boy didn't exactly radiate ...either of those qualities.
Pointing to the orbs she gave him a questioning look before she went to nibble on the cookie again, she had barely gotten a quarter of the way through it as she wanted to savoir the treat.

Junjie tilted his head to one side when the girl motioned to the two orbs that he'd replaced on his dresser and he gave a bit of a smile, "Pretty, aren't they?" He said, lifting a hand to sooth it against the cool surface of one of the glittering orbs before he turned back to Tilawen, "This one, the pretty blue one, Mister Arick gave to me when I ran some errands for him." He explained, the motioned to the green one next, "This one came from a Ysali that was trying to eat me." He made a little face at that, as though he didn't quite understand what he'd done to upset the thing but oh well, he'd gotten out of that one without getting himself injured which was a bit of a shocker.
"Have you ever seen any dragons? We have a few of the green ones, the Ysali, in the forests near here." He said, wiping a speck of dust off of the green orb before he turned back to Tilawen completely once more, "Ah! We can probably talk about dragons later, huh? After you are dry and in warm clothing." He said, giving a little chuckle, as though he hadn't meant to leave her standing there dripping. He led the way down the hallway to where the bathroom was located, "There are lots of towels on the shelves, use what you need to dry off, then after you change we can see about squeezing your dress out and hanging it up." He told the girl, pushing open the door to the room for her, then moved out of the way so that she could head in and get changed into the dry clothing.
With that taken care of he headed back to his room, lifting up the blanket on his bed to peek under it, "How are you doing under here?" He asked of the egg, as though expecting some sort of response, before he leaned in to rest his ear against it, listening closely as though looking for any sign that it might be considering hatching. Nothing yet but soon, perhaps? He didn't know enough about giant eggs to really know what came in them or how long they took to hatch so he meant to keep a close eye on it until something happened, "You should hatch soon, then you can meet the new girl that is visiting." He told the egg, giving a bit of a grin as he did so. He was having fun with her already even if she didn't really say all that much. She was nice enough so that was what mattered if you asked Jun.

Tilawen couldn't help but have a look of surprise on her face, he ran errands for people? And they didn't throw stones at him? Threaten his life? Jealous once again she figured it must be because he looked primarily dovaa if he kept his wings hidden anyway, though she couldn't help but be impressed when he explained how the second one came from a dragon that had tried to eat him. Her only encounters with the dragon's were with her father and generally he dealt with them swiftly.
At his question she nodded her head, yes she had seen them but never fought any. Tilawen had wondered if she could handle a dragon on her own if this boy had been able to do it. Following out of habit she walked with him quietly as they went to the bathrooms. Clothes were handed to her and she couldn't help but stare at them in her hands, her arms getting crowded with her trying to hold onto the precious cookies as well.
She watched as h walked back to his room and she was left to change. Slipping into the bathroom she closed the door behind her, everything she did was quiet even closing doors. Though she avoided looking at herself in the mirror she slipped the wet clothes off after making sure to put the cookies on a counter. Changing she was surprised to find pants, for she often wore skirts, she wasn't sure how she felt about it. Standing there awkwardly with pants and shirt on she felt really confined though she suppose she would just have to get use to it. The only handy thing being they were close in size so nothing fit weird.
Reclaiming her cookies she was slow to leave the bathroom looking down the hall she was left to her own designs. Should she go back to the boys room? Or perhaps see if her father was ready to go? Granted..Burrom would come get her if it was time to leave so it was probably best if she went back to the rather chatty boy. Nibbling on a cookie she lightly knocked on his door.

The tapping on his bedroom door had Junjie lifting his head from under the blanket, looking in that direction, "I think she is back. I will bring her to meet you now if she wants." He said to the bright green egg as he got back to his feet, letting the blanket fall back over the egg once more. Keeping it warm was important after all, he didn't want the poor thing to get cold again after all. Trotting over to the door he opened it up, looking Tilawen over for a moment, then he gave her a smile, "Oooo, that looks nice on you." He chirped, clapping his hands together in a happy manner. He knew that those particular clothes would probably look far better on her then they did on him. He wondered if his mother would let him give them to Tilawen, he'd be more then happy to have them out of his dresser since that would give him more space for the things he did like.
Pulling the door open for her he then asked, "Do you want a brush?" He asked as he walked over to his dresser, looking around on top of it, behind where the orbs were sitting, to fetch his brush and held it out to her, "If you need help I can braid your hair back for you, I do it with mine. It's something that takes a while to learn when you have horns." He said, giving a little chuckle. He was sure that Tilawen knew all about how much of a pain it could be to deal with horns getting in the way one was trying to brush their hair though, she had horns after all. He walked over closer to her, giving a little 'Ooooo' sound as he noticed that she had something similar to her horns but they seemed to be coming from her back? Weird...
Reaching his free hand out he gave one of them a little poke, "What are these? Spines?" He asked, curiosity flooding his tone once more. They looked like her horns but they weren't on her head, making him wondering what they might be. Either way they looked really neat!

Tilawen re-entered the room although still slowly as she wasn't sure what to expect. Being handed a brush was certainly the last thing she thought she would be given and to have the boy offer to braid her hair caused her to almost want to retreat from the room. But where would she go? She wasn't use to all the attention as he noticed her bony wings on her back. Embarrassed she half turned away so she could hide them from his curious looks.
"N..no.." She replied after he was poking them, she went to sit down her back to a wall so that they would no longer receive any more attention.
The brush in hand she still had the cookies as well, to brush her hair meant she would have to put the cookies down and ..like a starving dog she wasn't exactly keen on letting them out of her sight. But having the boy do her hair was...almost unthinkable. Sighing she put the cookies down and taking her hair out of the loose tie she began to brush it through the red strands.
Though she had noticed the large thing under a blanket she had never inquired to what it was and it wasn't like her to inquire.
