This whole new power level thing was really something to get used to. Ida liked it, but it came with new limitation along with the new power. That's what she had been doing this evening... finding her limitations. Just like when she had first become a senshi, she was seeing how far she could push herself in a safe environment, so she wouldn't go too far when it really mattered.
The speed and strength tests had been easy and were what had brought her here so far across town from where she usually patrolled. It was a rather nice night for it, actually, and the super senshi was feeling pretty good. Things were starting to look up and she was hopeful for the future.
Deciding to take a break, she had come to a stop on top of one of the building nearby, somewhere she wasn't too visible so people wouldn't wonder what a girl in a miniskirt and headscarf was doing on top of a building.

Shangri-la was patrolling alone tonight and finding it weird to be alone and to not have training. Maia was missing, but he knew why and frankly he'd been missing to for a while, but Maia was hit a bit harder by there recent events than he was. He sighed having actually left from the hospital tonight and decided he would go out for a bit before going home. He was feeling more and more like this was one of his everyday responsibilities and more routine, so it was odd to miss to many night out even if he was tired.
He was out not necessarily in a place he'd never been, but in a place he'd never patrol, so when he felt another he headed for the signature. He liked touches bases with other and it would help with his patrol if he knew where the other had been and where the other was going.
He saw Ida sitting on the roof, but didn't really recognize her, not that she was a super senshi wearing a headscarf, not only that her back was to him. "Hey," he called from a good distance, before hopping over to the roof she was on, not wanting to startle her.
Ida had sensed a signature nearby, but she still jumped a little when she heard someone call out to her, bouncing onto her feet and pushing her scarf back out of her face.
Since the signature felt 'right', she had a smile when she turned to see who it was. "Oh! I know you." The teen said, recognizing the knight she had met at the sparing event. "Shangri-La, right? I'm Ida, if you don't remember me."
Suddenly feeling shy, she brushed the back of her now-white skirt to make sure she got any dirt off. "I kind of got a new outfit." Reaching up, she pushed back her scarf so it wasn't covering her hair or face.

Shang made an oh face when Ida pushed back her scarf and he could see her face. He did indeed recognize her and nodded when he questioned about if he was Shangri-la.
"Yeah, Im am and I remember you," he said giving a nervous laugh, "how could I forget, you tricked me during our spar."
He watched her brush off her skirt and nodded once more, "I see and well I can feel the difference too. You're stronger, more so than I am anyway, not quite at Maia's level, but stronger."
He gave a smile, "I was just a patrolling and felt you in the area and decided to come see where you'd been tonight and what things are like in the area. You know, sort of just touch bases."
He motioned, "back that way its pretty quiet, no real activity going on, but that may be because its till sort of early."
Scuffing a booted foot on the gravel of the building's roof, Ida shrugged and clasped her hands behind her.
"I wasn't really looking for anything this time, but I didn't notice anything on the way here. ********* helped me power up a little while ago and I've been sort of testing the limits of my power. I can run a lot faster than I used to be able to and I'm stronger too. I haven't tested out my attack yet though..." She said as she lifted her hands and shoulders in a shrug. "So, lots of running and lifting things, no fighting things. Its important though! I figure its better to know what my limits are now, than to discover them while I'm in the middle of some life or death situation. I'm sure you've probably done the same thing at one point or another."
Ida felt sort of silly for being found up here, but there really was a good reason for it, even it had felt more like fun than serious work. She had not been goofing off.

Shang gave a curious look, because he didn't know they had to test there powers, but it made sense. Being a knight was so different from being a senshi so he was never sure about these sort of things, still her approach seemed a good one.
"Yes, that does seem like a good way to go about it. You definitely don't want to find yourself in a situation and find you can't handle it, but if you do at least you can call for help."
He gave a smile, "as far as your attack, maybe I can help you with that. We could have a little training session. Uh, you could try to hit me with your attack and I can practice trying to dodge and maybe get closer to you and I guess tag you, since I'd rather not hit you anymore."
Ida laughed at his aversion to hitting her, though she appreciated a man who didn't like hitting women. In this war, though, sometimes it was necessary. Not all the bad guys were men, after all.
"That sounds like a great idea! Before, my attack was a spray of needle-like petals. Hopefully that gives you sort of an idea of what to look out for. I wouldn't tell an enemy this, but just make sure you cover your eyes. I don't want you to get really hurt by this, but a sparing match sounds wonderful." A smile spread on the senshi's face as she bounced on her toes, shifting over to a clearer spot on the building's roof so they'd have room to move around.
"Are you ready, Shang?" She called as she held her hands up defensively, keeping on her toes.

Shang gave a weak smile at her mention of what her first attack did, not really liking the idea of getting cut up with sharp petals, but he already offered, so he would just have to be a trying to dodge. He gave a nod and pulled the brim of his hat down, so he could protect his eyes and still be able to see and not have his hands and arms in his face.
He watched her moved away before moving himself a few more paces away and taking a stance. He doubted it would work out to well for either of them if they were to close to one another.
"Ready," he called out. He would have to wait for her to attack and then he would make his way up to her as best as he could. He hoped it would be hard because the harder it was for him, the harder it was for someone on the other side.
Giving the knight a reassuring smile, the senshi darted forward, closing the distance between them to roughly the height of a man. Five or six feet... she'd learned the first time that the petals only went so far, so she assumed it would be roughly the same this time. Even if they went farther than that, she'd be able to tell and compensate later.
"Beautiful Petal Barrage!" She called as she pulled her arm forward and cast it like she was casting a handful of sand before her.
Sailor Scout Attack: Beautiful Petal Darts! [What it does] A thrown hand casts a cloud of orchid petals, which harden into needle-like darts that fly in the direction the petals were first cast. Downside to this attack is its lack of accuracy with a single opponent, and lack of strength against multiple enemies. Its merely a spray of needle-like petals with some velocity behind them. The petals don't do much in the way of damage and are equivalent to paper cuts... irritating but not actually damaging. As any cuts received are barely skin deep, clothing can protect against this. Range is short, about five or six feet. Can be used twice per battle.Twice will exhaust her and she will have to retire from the fight until she's rested.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Beautiful Petal Barrage! [What it does] A powered up version of the Petal Darts, the petals can cause slightly deeper cuts that take more than just one day to heal. Clothing can still block this but there is a chance of the fibers being sliced by the petal, which could need to be repaired. Range is again, five or six feet and she can use it twice per battle. Twice will exhaust her and she will have to retire from the fight until she's rested.
A glow came as petals seemed to follow her hand, floating in the air before hardening into needles and spraying forward in the same fan-like arch her arm had taken. The call was new... Ida hadn't though the command would be different until the words had come from her mouth, but there you go... and these petals, they felt different to. Heavier, harder... sharper, even. How could she tell? It wasn't so much an actual feel from her hand, but more of a second sense. These were powered up petals.
Hopefully the knight had been paying attention, because she was coming straight for him being the spray, faster than she'd moved last time they'd met, angling to the left side of him.

Whatever Shang had been expecting, that wasn't it or at least he wasn't fully prepared for it and all her could do to avoid it was drop to the ground and roll. In the process he lost his hat, so somehow snapped his hair tie and cut a sleeve a bit, but otherwise he was relatively unharmed.
He jumped up, but unfortunately Ida was right on him and and he had to spin to avoid her and just barely managing to get out of her way.
"I don't think I was really prepared for that exactly," he huffed out, shuffling a bit further out reach trying to to be stationary for too long because she was clearly faster than last spar. He briefly wondered how long it took to make it to the next stage, but decided not to worry about it.
"You won't get me than easy though," he said with a slightly smile trying to appear confident when he felt nothing of the sort. It didn't help that his ringlets were free and all in his face making him have to push them back out of the way.
Having him drop to the ground was actually not something she had expected, and with him rolling, she did the only she could think of and jumped up into the air to land back a few feet.
"Gotta be prepared for anything!" She laughed as she bounced on her toes, looking like a tiny, slender boxer as she lifted her hands up in fists. The picture was more comical than threatening, though anyone who knew senshi knew she could punch just as hard as those big brutes on TV.
Waiting for him to get up, she took a moment to admire his hair as it fell in his face. Even messy, it was attractive, and she was after all a teenage girl, even if she might look and act older. Remembering what she was supposed to be doing, she pulled herself back to reality and rushed him again, spinning to the side this time too as she leveled a kick at him that swept up from the ground. On the off chance he tried to drop down again, he should meet her foot coming up... though this put her a little off balance, forcing her to carry through the motion so she could put her foot down and find her balance again.

It was true one needed to be prepared for anything. He knew that just from being randomly attacked, but he was still new to this and knew little about senshi attacks. They were however varying and surprise to them probably wasn't very surprising in the least. They both had chose not to keep still for two long, but Ida clearly had the offensive advantage in that she was actually being offensive.
Shang jumped slightly to the side to avoid the kick that Ida swung at him, but in coming back down, it caught awkwardly, causing his feet not to be directly under him and so when he landed it was on his back with a groan.
Still she was off balanced and he knew he couldn't take a moment. He kicked out his own leg toward her booted ankle in an attempt to bring her down to his level.
There was a girlish squeal as Ida's feet were swept out from under her and she landed hard on her backside. Instincts kicked in and she rolled away from him as soon as she realized she was down, ending on her knees and pushing herself up and backwards onto her feet. It only took a few moments for her to be back in a defensive pose, though it was probably obvious that her behind felt bruised and she would have really loved to rub the soreness away.
"Nice! I shouldn't have opened myself up like that, you did pretty well distracting me from you." She said with a grin. That was all the peace he got though, before she was rushing him again, whether or not he'd gotten up as well. The flower senshi made good use of fists or feet, depending on what would leave her less open to attack, and she goaded him off balance however she could.
It was as much of an exercise for her as for him, since she was pushing herself to be way more offensive than she was comfortable with. She didn't let her attacks slow or pause, always pushing him to think and react. This wasn't how she normally fought, but she had a feeling being able to change things up like this might come in handy some day.

Shang rolled away just as Ida had and quickly pulled himself to his feet, offering a quick thanks at her acknowledgement of his focus. It made him feel a bit more sure in all this. Though his sureness was throw of a bit when she came after him, tossing kicks and hits at him with nary of moment for breath.
It shocked him a bit as her blocked and attempted to counter, but found himself being driven further and further toward the other side of the roof top. Fighting on a roof was dangerous and it wasn't helping that while he blocked, he also took a foot to the ribs and a jab to the shoulder.
When he realized he was getting closer to the edge than he was really comfortable with he felt cornered enough to push back with more effort that he was previously. He decided to duck down and rush at Ida and an attempt to simple scoop her up right onto his shoulder. He figured it would be enough of a shock to throw her off a bit.
He really just wanted to walk them back more to the center of the roof top. He would try to do so without laughing, though he wouldn't really succeed, if he did indeed manage to scoop the super senshi up.
The flower senshi could feel the knight getting tense as she managed to actually force them back towards the edge of the roof. She'd never actually push him over the edge of it, but thus far he'd been way more defensive than was probably good for him in a fight. Sure, some defense was good, but it was offense that ended the fight... unless he was like that boxer, whatshisname? Muhammad?, and just used it to wear his opponent out. She would never claim to be an expert at fighting, hell, half her attacks were just random punches and kicks that anyone knew how to do, but it seemed dangerous to let a negaverse agent have that much control...
Ida had been prepared for him to finally decide to attack her, but while she expected the rush, she did not expect him to open himself up as he swept her up and over his shoulder. The unusual movement distracted her enough that he actually managed to do it without her kneeing him in the chin or kicking him in the family jewels. Much to her embarrassment, she let out a very girlish squeal as she was hoisted up and she thrashed a little, shoving her hands against his back as she kicked her booted feet.
"Shang!" She said, her voice higher than she wanted it to be. Bringing it down, she squirmed against his shoulder as it dug into her stomach. "Shang, put me down! You do this to a Negaverser and they're going to stab you in the back!" Ida shouted, pounding a fist against his shoulderblade. Not enough to really hurt him, mind, but... she felt vulnerable and confused being carried like this. The last man to carry her had been Chaonis when she was injured, and before that... well, her dad, when she was seven and fallen asleep watching fireworks. This was definitely not something she was used to and it put her way outside of her comfort zone with no way of knowing how to really react to it. Not bad, but confusing.
She settled for struggling with her scarf as it fell off, his hair and her hair falling into her face in the awkward position and making it hard to do anything but clear it away from her face.
