Erionda ran through the dense forest of leaves. Uassae silently floating above. The young Hybrid had been left in Serenia by Aquon. She had to learn to fight the Ysali dragons, without his help this time. Even though she had failed to fight and kill the first time. It was her punishment for failing. The small girls breath came out in deep slow breaths. Running felt free, part of her wished to have stayed back in the tiny clearing with Lanzecki. He was too young to be left on his own for long. And much to young to accompany her and Uassae in battle's or dragon hunts.

Eyelashes fell over pale violet eyes as the connection between Rio and Uassae opened. I don't see anything down here, not even prints. Are you able to see anything from up there?

Try to you're left I see movement in the tree's. Guess we will have to start working on identifying tracks in leaves and soft soil for a while. Aquon will be upset if you can't return with a single orb before this Arick person arrives.

Erionda shifted her direction, her feet scuffing in the leaves and dirt. Traction was harder here than it was in the celestial plane. Oh how she missed the warm comfort of her bed back home. Focusing with her ear's Erionda searched the long strip of forest in front of her. Uassae was right. A large green Ysali dragon lay waiting for her approach. He's seen me already Uassae Erionda panicked over the bond.

Relax, his eyes are on something else. Take the opportunity now to attack.

Sucking in a deep breath of air Erionda burst forward her fist clenched ready for a punch.

Eesh, what was it with the Ysali and wanting to pick on him of late? Did they hear that he'd accidentally defeated one of them and now they all wanted a piece of him? Why couldn't they have heard that he had stumbled across one of their kind sleeping and instead of bothering that particular dragon he'd just continued on his way as quickly as possible? Of course bad news was far more likely to travel faster and further he figured, wrinkling his nose a bit as he hurried along, ducking behind a particularly large tree before making a bit of a face, "Phew... well... at least Eggy is safe." He murmured, using the pet name that he had made up for the egg that he had found a few days back. He'd left it at home today, sitting in a nest of warm blankets, having come out here to see if he could get any sort of bead on where the big green egg had come from. Instead of any clues as to the origins of the egg he'd had to find a Ysali instead.

"They don't seem to like me much." He murmured, not that he could blame them he supposed. He bet that the rumors about him were greatly over-exaggerated among the dragon kind. Shifting against the tree he moved to peek around it, noticing how the dragon was searching for him, sniffing the air, a rather irritated look on its face. Phew, it didn't know exactly where he was, did it? That was at least a bit of good news but he couldn't allow himself to rest now, not when it might spot him at any moment. Squatting down in the tall grass, as well as pressing close to the tree, he hoped that he would blend in better. Brown hair, green, scales, and green horns, he was all set up to hide out in a forest he thought to himself, doing his best to keep his wings from popping out since he was sure the movements would give him away. Stay where you are, stay he chanted over and over in his head like a mantra, hoping that by doing so he might not be noticed.

He was starting to think that it might after worked since the Ysali was no longer looking directly at him, instead looking around the area as a whole, as though trying to figure out where he was but hopefully having lost his trail? That would be quite convenient on his part that much was for certain. Now all he had to do was wait for a good opportunity to sneak off away from his hiding spot... but not right now, not while the Ysali was still so alert and so close by, that was just asking for the thing to notice him and start up the chase once more. Instead he would stay right where he was and wait for his opportunity. Maybe the thing would spot someone or something else worth chasing? Maybe those egg thieves from the other day? That would be amusing he thought to himself, giving a bit of a smile. While he didn't want them hurt seeing them getting chased around for a time wouldn't be too bad now would it?

"Come on... find something else to do." He murmured under his breath in a hopeful manner, not wanting to have to attempt to out run a Ysali again, knowing for a fact that it wasn't the best method of dealing with an irate dragon.

The swift blow landed against the Ysali's head with ease. Erionda blinked at the area she had smacked, rolling away from the creature. It growled as if she had merely poked the beast. Her confidence was quickly fleeing. It didn't work Uassae!

The large Aeduan Drakein landed on the ground with a bellowing roar. It already seems to have been on alert for something. Remember what Aquon said. A dragon on alert is harder to kill than one that doesn't know you're there.

I was quiet this time. Erionda cried in defense. Is there any chance that we could flee. I don't want to die here.

Uasae's tail flicked back and forth as he regarded the dragon before him. Possible. Uassae soothed over the bond as his head lowered, lips curling up to reveal his sharp teeth with a snarl.

Jun was looking around slowly from side to side, debating over the path that he would be taking to get out of here, which would cause the least amount of sound, where the best cover was, and how best to avoid being spotted by the big dragon... when suddenly his need for such things were no longer needed. Much to his shock when he looked back to check on what the Ysali was doing a familiar, bright colored form was suddenly lunging for to... punch the dragon!? The mere fact that he was seeing what he was seeing caused him to give a squawk of surprise, "W-What the... what is she doing?!" He gasped out, dragging himself up to his feet from where he was hiding.

Not good, not good at all... what was he supposed to do now? He'd been about to flee but he couldn't very well do that now could he? Not when someone he knew, someone he liked, was going to get eaten by a dragon because she brave enough or maybe crazy enough, to go up and punch a dragon! Looking from side to side he looked around desperately for something that he would be able help him in such a situation as this rather surreal one that he now found himself in, "Ah ha!" Scooping up a rock from the ground the boy pressed himself close to his arboreal hiding spot, dragged in a deep breath, before he peeked around and sent the rock flying.

It flew pretty far, pretty straight, and pretty fast, pegging the Ysali in the neck. While it wasn't enough to kill it, not by a lot shot, maybe it would help with drawing the big creature away from Erionda? He sure hoped so he thought to himself as he looked around for more ammo in case the first rock wasn't enough to get the thing to leave her alone. It was likely if he threw too many the thing would come toward him but that was a risk he was willing to take if it meant protecting the girl. He wasn't sure where the were that traveled with her, Uassae and Lanzecki, so he'd do his best to help in their place.

Erionda's head snapped from side to side in search of the source of the flying object. Where did that come from!? Erionda questioned Uassae over the bond. Feelings of both relief and annoyance washed over her. Cringing as the creature seemed to shift it's attention. "Rope." Erionda yelled looking around her surroundings for any vine like object.

She knew well enough on the ground Ysali were adept to trap their prey with vines. Spying a large strand up in the branches of the tree above them. "There." She pointed, grateful Uassea had been working with her mind along the same track. Hoisting her up into the branch, the large Drakein took to looking around the forest floor his eyes settling on a barely recognizable speck on the ground. The boy sure could blend in well.

Junjie. That boy is here.

Erionda could sense the growl in Uassae's tone and chose deftly to ignore him. I have an idea. It will allow us a plan to escape. I will tie this rope into a noose. You distract it towards Jun as you grab him and escape. I'll loop it's neck and then as I leap from the tree I'll swing in you're direction. I can run fast. If I tie the other end against the trunk, and run fast. Erionda schemed. Cause you know I can run fast. We can all get out of this mess without getting hurt.

Uassae seemed to almost scoff as her idea but moved into position as Erionda loosened the vine and began to tie it around the trunk. "Now!" Rio yelled intent on pulling the dragons attention towards Uassae, who had taken to leaping towards the ground with a bellowing roar. Tearing forward to wards Jun.

Junjie peeked around the tree once more, not seeing Erionda straight away, hoping that meant that the girl had escaped with the distraction of the rock that he'd thrown though he scooped up another one just in case. The last thing that he wanted was for either of them to get snapped up by the Ysali that likely saw those their size as potential snack food. As he watched the Ysali to see what it was that the dragon was doing he suddenly spotted one of Erionda's scaly friends coming charging his way with a roar, something that terrified him more then the Ysali at the moment since it seemed the Drakien knew exactly where he was.

"Oh come on I didn't even do anything this time." He muttered to himself, pushing up to his feet and away from the tree, trying to run from the displeased looking Uassae though with no luck as the best was able to grab him up... though instead of any pain it seemed that he'd been grabbed by his clothing instead...? Maybe this time he wasn't intent upon taking him down? That was a relief... though being carried in such a manner was rather awkward, wasn't it? As he was carried along the boy did his best to look from side to side, trying to figure out where the pink haired girl had gotten off to at the moment. She'd made it out alright, right? Surely... there was no reason why this guy would be helping him if she was in trouble after all, right?

Looking up at Uassae he asked, "Where is Erionda?" Though wasn't sure how well the Drakien would be able to answer with something in his mouth.

Erionda braced her body as she slowly worked the rope into a perfect position. Hoping to drop it just in time to latch onto the large dragons neck. Once the large beast had pulled into position after Uassae, Erionda dropped the rope with a giggle. Flipping over the branch and aiming to swing off in the same direction. The force of her movement latched onto the dragons neck cutting it's call short, at the same time shifting Erionda higher into the air.

Uassae snorted at Jun's comment unceremoniously dropping him the short distance towards the ground. "Tricking the dragon into our escape. She shouldn't be too- " The large Drakein paused as his head snapped back around towards Erionda's direction. His wings beating swiftly as he took off to race in an attempt to beat her before she could hit the ground.

Refraining from screaming to avoid drawing the now confused dragon towards them. Erionda pleaded mentally as her small feathery wings pulled out in her desperate attempt to keep from landing in a painful crumple on the ground.

I'm here

Erionda felt her heart pound as claws wrapped around her midriff. Slowing down her decent. Uassae!! Thank you! Is Jun safe?

The snort Uassae gave to answer Erionda's question earned him a small giggle from the young Hybrid. "Thank you." Rio smiled as the pair quickly joined Jun on the ground. "You are an amazing Drakein Uassae. What would I do without you."

The Aeduan drakein puffed his chest up proudly. His wings help open half way. Turning his head away from both in an effort to look heroic.

Jun gave a little 'oomph' sound as he was dropped onto the ground in a heap, looking up at the one that had carried him off, listening to what he was saying about tricking a dragon. So that was what they were doing, huh? They wanted to trick the dragon so that they could get away? He supposed that it made sense, they didn't have the luxury of being able to hide as easily as Junjie did after all. Still, he'd feel so much better about all of it when he saw Erionda again and made certain that she was alright. A short time later, after he'd picked himself up off the ground and had set to brushing the dirt off, his wish was granted. To say that he was pleased to see Uassae return with the pink haired girl who was fully intact despite what she had been doing would be an understatement.

Taking a few steps toward her he looked her over quickly then gave a sigh of relief, "I am glad that you are alright." He said, his brown wings giving a little flutter behind him, "I was so worried when I saw you punch that dragon... did you want its orb that much?" He asked of her in a curious manner. He knew that they were rather pretty but still, that had been quite dangerous... Surely there must be a better way to go about it? At least he sure hoped so if she was wanting one of those glittering orbs for herself.

Erionda smiled at Jun's enthusiasm. Her head snapping back simultaneously with Uassae. They had both sensed the approaching dragon. Erionda had bought them a head start but if they didn't move now they would have to find another way to trick the beast. Shaking her head she reached out to take hold of Jun's hand and took off into a running motion as Uassae took flight into the air. "No time." Erionda muttered her pale pink hair fluttering in her quick movements. "It's coming this way we need to run!" Giving a tug she quickly started in the opposite direction as Uassae.

As he was pulled along Junjie opened his mouth to ask why it was that they were running, about to comment on how much easier it was just to hide from the Ysali... that was until he really focused on the girl pulling him along. Unlike Junjie who seemed to blend in well enough with the woods that he could nearly disappear if tried hard enough Erionda was bright pink! There was no way that she was going to hide, was there? Best that he just did as he was told and ran since there was no way that he was going to leave her to run on her own so that he could hide. He might be good at hiding but he wasn't a coward, at least he'd like to believe as much. As such he meant to stay with her.

"We should try to leave the forest, they tend to give up pursuit if you do." He suggested, "That or when they get bored... or lose the scent of what they are chasing... I have hidden from them before." And he probably would do so more in the future he added quietly to himself.
