The wolves have assembled and made a decision to find a new permanent home. Where will the road lead them? There's only one way to find out.

*~*~*~*~*
This direction will be leading the pack toward the south, where we found the elk heard.

"We've all had a good rest, lets eat whats left of the meat and head out. Going south sounds like the best choice."

Noticing Subliminal had come out of hiding she looked to him. "Are you going to be travailing with us this time?"

She waited for everyone to get ready to move out.

Crescent looked to Bullet noticing she had talked to the male, asking if he was coming with them this time. Crescent looked to the south and stood up. He hadn't moved much last night and decided not to sleep, to keep a vigilant watch while the others slept. The wolf took a few steps and looked back to the others, waiting Bullet to lead them, "Well, looks like we've got a long way to go." He said to no one in particular. Crescent didn't take much notice of the meat that was left, still assuring himself he had no need to eat yet. If he decided to keep this up he may suffer later for it. He hadn't eaten much and he hadn't slept at all since he found the wolves.

Ember looked to Crescent, he seemed all alone over there. Well I might as well try to make friends, she thought to herself. Getting up she padded her way over to the pile of meat and brought and good sized piece over to Crescent, and sat down next to him. "Hey I'm Ember, I saw that you didn't eat much last night, and it doesn't look like you ate much at all last night." Her fur rippled a little, as her blood got a little agitated being close to someone else. Clam down Ember your not enclosed in a small space. She was glad they were going in the direction of the elk, instead of the caves, she was a little nervous when she heard about the idea.

So they had decided to move. Frostridge felt some reluctance, but looking around, could understand why. The land was still recovering; so many predators gathered in one area would surely exterminate the remaining prey, would snuff out this one remaining oasis of life. It was best to move on and let the land recuperate...Perhaps one day, they might return...

But they turned their noses south and she felt apprehension rise. It was from the north she had traveled, where the discarded relics of humans held sway over patches of Corrupted ground and wasteland. Who knew what lay further to the south?

There was no way to voice her opinion, and though she felt uneasy, some part within her had already decided to stick with her new team. She checked her dagger with a touch of her nose to be sure it was there, then focused on an assessment of her body. Her ribs were still sore, but markedly less painful since her intake of food and sunlight. Her foreleg was already beginning to heal over; she felt in decent shape for travel.

She got up and ate a few scraps of leftover meat- eating real flesh as opposed to the dry kibble she had lived on for so long was still such a strange experience for her. Like a noble lady, she took gentle bites at a time, chewing each mouthful with relish; she kept one eye and half of her mind focused on the on-going discussions, still trying to pick up an understanding with her fragmented knowledge of their language.

Crescent looked to the wolf who had joined him, she was carrying some of the meat with her and was now talking about him eating meat. He looked back to the direction they would soon be going, "I am not hungry and do not need to eat yet." He said, not turning from the direction he looked. Wolf flesh, sustenance for one such as us. Crescent looked to the wolf, Ember. A puzzled look covering his face, "Did you just say something about eating wolf flesh?" He asked her.

Ember looked down a little as he didn't want the meat, then she looked taken aback when he asked her, 'Did you just say something about eating wolfs flesh?' "Why in the world would I eat the flesh of other wolves. That's freaking crazy." She looked at Crescent closely, "And please don't say that you aren't going to eat anything yet, you need the food for the long journey. It will keep you strong, and you'll need the strength." She nosed the piece of meat towards Crescent with a humph, and stood up waiting for the alphas command.

Kuro rose to his paws and moving swiftly joined his mate by her side and greeted her with a loving nuzzle. "Good morning dear. I trust you got enough rest right?" He glanced at the others arrising. "We move when everyone is ready." He said in a commanding tone then looking over to his beta, Crescent. "It's going to be a bit of a walk. You should eat something, Crescent. We'll need everyone at full strength."

Sai heard his brothers voice and stretched to life getting a quick yawn in before hopping to his paws. "It's about time! Let's get moving shall we." He was still sustained from the previous hunts catch and also more energized in during twilight.

.:Subliminal:.

"Aye.. Perhaps i'll stick around a bit longer.. I don't plan on relying to much on the 'family' system.. But it is worth a shot.." He barked lightly redirecting his gaze toward the Regal femme. Keeping in mind of a claimed to be abandoned city, he vigorously shook his pelt off, lifting his well-maintained bulk off the plush foliage. Assuming I fit through the crack this time.. He thought solemnly ushering Loki to rise on his fours.

.:Loki:.

The fledgling bit at Subliminals fores happily when the words of temporary al;legiance were spoken. Peering back up to his caretaker, he placed his fores on the trees flanks, whining for Scarletts attention.

Frostridge felt an urge to move, new energy cascading through her limbs after a solid meal. With confidence born of one assured of her capabilities, she strode up to the large dark male who seemed to have taken charge as a leader as well as Red-Fur.

She had to at least try a warning of what would probably await them outside the shelter of this struggling sanctuary they had found. "Bad-Flesh bloods. Bad..." she stood up on her back legs, hunching her shoulders and forelegs in a rather dorky pantomime of the Brute class that had attacked them earlier. Had to make them understand how the Altered now held sway over much of the Corrupted lands beyond. "Big. Strong! Dangerous." Now she crept along the ground, as if sneaking. "Avoid. No fight. No eat. Avoid." she repeated the word twice to make sure it was clear how dangerous their foes would be, especially with not all recovered to full strength.

Then she smoothed a patch of earth with a fore paw and spat upon it, giving it a distinct oily, unnatural appearance. "Bad-Ground. No walk. Dangerous. Change, Bad-Flesh blood." She was increasingly frustrated with her inability to explain that even the very earth they trod could become a danger over time, if it had been deeply corrupted.

Well, she had tried her best to explain. She gazed at Red and Streaked one helplessly, then closed her eyes in self-exasperation. Finally she opened them again, and nodded toward her chest. "I go, front. Look, smell, danger. Protect, brothers. You, brothers." She was offering to go ahead of them on their journey and scout ahead, being well acquainted with dealing with the Altered and Corrupted ground, to try to help keep them from harm.

There were many dangers she had been told of by her human, or encountered personally on her lonely trek Frost may not have been the best hunter or speaker, or the best at dealing with the long-ears and tree-heads, but at least that was something she knew.

It took Bullet a minute to piece together what Frost might be trying to say. "You can lead us Frost," She spoke slower and nudged her noise in the direction they planned to travel "farther than where tree-head was." The wolf seemed to be picking up words here and there, at least she was able to get part of the messages across. "Jet and Scarlett still have not awoken,"

Bullet moved up the hill side. Sitting at the top she watched the pack.

Bad Blood - Bullet
It took Bullet a minute to piece together what Frost might be trying to say. "You can lead us Frost," She spoke slower and nudged her noise in the direction they planned to travel "farther than where tree-head was." The wolf seemed to be picking up words here and there, at least she was able to get part of the messages across. "Jet and Scarlett still have not awoken,"

Bullet moved up the hill side. Sitting at the top she watched the pack.

Having been given permission by her leader, she gave a nod; then the air seemed to shimmer and she vanished from sight as if she had been nothing but a ghost- only a slight-tell tale shimmer of air and the slowly disappearing scent gave any indication she was standing there.

Taking off at a steady gait, her nose pointed to the south as she assessed the ground they would have to travel. Having a child would only increase the difficulty, save for the fact that he was still young enough to be carried.

She came back to the rough terrain that hid the precious lake and reviving white barked trees... Frost felt some longing, and made a decision to plot a course around it; let it remain hidden awhile longer. She made a deep scratch in the earth, an arrow pointing to a far gentler slope leading up and away into the mountainous crag of rock towards the south.

It was difficult, as she leaped across the narrow crevasses and wormed her way past the jagged spires of stone, but not impossible. Up here, it was far less likely they would encounter Altered- She continued working up the mountain, till it finally plateaued, leaving a easier, flat stretch of land far above ground level. She left another scratch in the dirt as a marker.

As she trotted onward, she began to contemplate all that had occured. It felt good to have some sort of purpose again, flooding her with will- Nothing seemed out of the question, the air was free from the smell of danger. She allowed herself to feel at ease till after an hour or two she came to the ledge leading back down the other side.

Wasteland, barren and lifeless stretched before her as far as she could see- The sheer multitude of brown lands made her heart feel intimidated. Their journey was surely going to be difficult. And the way down was hard- she picked a small lane down the sheer walls- One misstep would send her tumbling to her death, but there were no alternatives.

Finally after another hour or three, she reached the bottom. There was dead grass here, and little scent of anything save dry, dusty earth. With a sigh, she settled herself, debating whether to wait, or go back.

Bullet
Sorry guys I've been attempting to get into the twilight based guild but the people who plays as werewolves(Moon brothers), not the shapeshifters, are driving me crazy with their rule breakage DX Don't know how long I'll be able to do it.

Still a little shocked that a wolf became as clear as the air, she decided to accept the strange powers and move it. Better to have her on our side instead of against us. Bullet lifted her head to the sky and howled, "Come on all, Frost will clear the way of danger and met us on our way. Someone get Jet up and lets get moving. Bullet began trotting off fallowing the faint scent Frost left behind. One day they would be able to understand the cold wolf.

Crescent looked over to Jet, who was still sleeping. He was growing a fondness towards the female. Crescent then noticed Bullet started to follow after Frost, "How about you guys go and catch up with Frost? I can stay behind and wait for these lazy dogs to wake up." Crescent said. He then stood up, looking to Ember who had offered him some food, "Like I said, not hungry. Perhaps Jet will want it when she wakes up though." Crescent said taking the meat and walking off, dropping it in front of Jet. He sat down by her side and barked in her ear, "Wake up." He began to feel uneasy in the direct sunlight, "I don't like it here. This cattle bores me. Dull. Pointless. Maggots!" The voice from earlier hissed. Crescent looked around, was he hearing things?

Bad Blood - Bullet
I can have Crescent wait here until the others reply/wake up if you want. Also, I haven't posted because apparently every time I try it doesn't post for some reason.

Ember just stared at Crescent as he took the meat over to the female that was still asleep. Anger rose up in her a little, and her pelt felt the anger and the blood reacted. It began to rise up a little like boiling water, but she soon stopped it and then with a humph turned around. She's not going to fight with her new pack, but it definitely makes her really angry when one doesn't listen to the alpha's commands. She's seen her fair share of what happens when a wolf disobeys. She slowly made her way to the meat pile again and ate a small portion for herself, before standing up and following after Bullet, ready to move when they do.
