Welcome!
This roleplay is one of the most basic rps I have created, and yet this is one of my most successful ones. I have created this rp on many different sites and each time I've had many people join it. I've also done this one offline with a group of friends. This one seems to be a favorite. So I hope that everyone here will come to enjoy this one as well.

Story
In the year 3063 the world is recovering from what they called the Apocalypse. What had brought about this Apocalypse is the war between angels and demons. For centuries they had been hidden away along with the other creatures of magic and magic itself. When they appeared they destroyed, everything in there search for the key. The key is a powerfully magically talented human who could end this war either for good or for evil. For 1000 years they have searched, destroying the world in the process, leaving the world in ruin. But finally after 1000 years one such Key has appeared, a guardian was found to watch the key grow and to ensure that the key was never found or at least she never fell into the wrong hands
While I do realize this is short for the basis of a literate roleplay, I've had it evolve into something better several times using this storyline. It is always like this. I will explain a few details that have been added in the next few posts. This is mostly settings and some things about the politics, {I think that would be the correct word.}
I will eventually edit this post to make this storyline better, well worded better, this was written around ten years ago and it shows.

Settings
After a millennium of fear people have learned to adapt. They live in the ruins of once great cities or in the forests, much like the elves. One major forest city is the trade city of Albion.
Albion is largely a trade city, but fighters and travelers pass through it all the time. Although fighters and those who are not human are looked upon with suspicion. The Lord of Albion does not like them, but allows them in because they bring in more trade.
The Castle in the Sky is home to the Queen of Angels. To enter the castle you need to have wings or take one of the clouds that take those without wings up to the castle. The clouds arrive in certain destinations, mainly elven cities. Because the castle is in the clouds, it moves sometimes changing the weather patterns.

The Great Mansion is what the evil people call home. Entrance is simple, knock on the door, someone answers it, and they may let you in and you pick an unoccupied room. This results in a motley of strange beings.
Note: Another character has to answer the door and they get to decide whether your character can come in.
Also this location moves by magic. This happens when too many people come to the location or the leader decides to do it. This is done as group magic, there has to be at least more than three people at the mansion to make this move.

Over one of the forests containing an elven city.
No weather change.
Current location of the Mansion:
In a desert.

A few additional details:
Angels:
They are lead by a very young queen, and at the moment her advisers have been taking advantage of the fact.
The reason that the queen is so young is because her family has been slowly getting killed off. In fact she's had 5 other siblings take the throne before her. So any angelic royalty would have to be younger than her.
Elves:
Elves live in multiple forested areas and each has a high council leader at the head of it. The high council leaders do occasionally meet at the High Palace, where the royalty resides.
Dragons:
Dragons tend to be loners, the ones that do live together that have a "government" well, every hundred years or so there is a minor revolution and the dragons split again to do their own things.
Humans have many different forms of governments. Many of them are now following the "old" ways of kings of queens, but there are some who try to keep the ways of the humans, the ways of "democracy" and such.
Demons:
Demons tend to answer to whoever is the strongest. If a demon is bested in battle by another demon they go into servitude under the demon who won. This is in fact how the Great Mansion works. Whoever is strongest is the one who heads the armies.

Requirements for the Guardian:
1. Must be neutral!
2. Must have a good amount of powers not enough to beat the key though enough to subdue her while the Key is untrained.
3. The guardian may be the key's closest friend.
4. I prefer the guardian to be older.
I will add that I will have taken all of the leadership at least for the angels and demons. This can change {and has in past incarnations of this roleplay}

Follow Gaia ToS
No Godmoding
No autohits or dodging everytime. Even the powerful Characters have to have weaknesses.
I have the right to deny your character or even your entrance to My Roleplay.
PM the Profiles to me with the title I Wish to Join the Battle for the Key!
Please be literate, I do understand the occasional grammar and spelling error. Trust me, I will have alot. You can even let me know if I screw up, just don't be nasty about it.
Please post at least 6 sentences or at least 3 lines. I say this many because I can get some serious writer's block. You may post less every once in a blue moon.
Post often! Try at least once a day, but it is required you post every three days unless you have a damn good reason.
Oh and post a smiley in that pm so I know you read the rules.
By the way, cursing is okay on occasion.
Oh, and no killing unless it is okay with the other person.
Keep it clean. No Cybering. If you want your character to get serious with another character just have a time skip.
Fighting is highly encouraged! Just don't get too gorey. It may disturb the other roleplayers.
I may add other rules.
