The stallion made his way forward purposefully, holding his head high and keeping up a brisk pace. It was a fine day for wandering, with sky as blue as a tropical ocean and not a cloud in sight. Just behind his shoulder hovered his familiar, a bat marked similarly to himself. She swooped left and right, in each claw dangling half of a black mask. "Well, I don't think this is a good idea!" She chittered sharply, wrinkling her nose in his direction.

Edan let out a low sigh, though a gentle smile spread across his face, "Why ever not, Ade?" The bat was always trying to look after him, she was worse than his mother had been after he'd just hatched out of his basket!

"You don't know who this chic is! What if she's one of those crazy Voodoo people?" Adenah's voice dropped down low, "You can't trust those! They'll mend your mask and just as easily boil your bones down for some creepy magic ritual!"

Edan let out a loud laugh, "Oh really? Because everyone in the area said she's great at fixing things. And her name is Eton, Ade. Eton. What sort of crazy Voodoo person is called Eton?" The bat made a point of turning her back to him, though this threw her flying way off course. "Besides, I'm travelling. It's sort of what you do whilst travelling, you know, meeting new people? Making friends?"

Turning back to face him, Adenah let out a highly undignified 'humph', "Well, maybe it's about time you stopped your adventuring days! Find a nice mare and settle down already, before your fur turns gray, you old oaf."

At that, Edan burst out laughing. "You're not serious?" Upon seeing her expression, he stuck his tongue out at her. "Besides, how am I supposed to go around finding myself a mare if you won't even let me go and meet anyone?"
