Flicking an ear backwards, Hakkar looked around the clearing. It was mostly deserted - all the adults were off doing their special adult things that he didn't need to worry himself about. He huffed, flapping his wings about as he bent his head to scratch the small stubbly horns against his foreleg. They were annoyingly itchy, and still growing fast, which he thought was probably what was causing the itching. Narrowing his eyes, he looked to the skies, giving his wings a good stretch. Oh, what he would give to just be able to soar about up there right now. The sun was shining brightly, though the air still had a slight chill to it, and there was a decent wind that would have made for the most spectacular flying races. He could almost imagine the super speeds he could reach, enough to patrol the whole herd's territory in like 5 seconds flat, he guessed. But his wings weren't strong enough yet. Nothing was strong enough about him yet - not for learning how to fight, not for flying, not for anything. A snort escaped through his nostrils. He'd show them all. He'd practice every single day if he had to, and he'd become the biggest, strongest, fastest and best Soquili in the whole herd. Then everyone would know his name. "Jus' you wait..." He mumbled under his breath. Pressing both ears forwards again, he bounded up onto his spindly legs. There had to be something to do around here! Where were his sisters? They'd be up for a good adventure, or a fun playing session, or something that wasn't just lying around here!

Well, one of his sisters was near by. TokTok had been practicing her stalking skills and realizing, well, it was boring and she was terrible at it. Her hoof found every twig, rock, or loud object with almost every step. Eventually she'd just get up and chase the small critter she had been following to the edge of their clearing and then she'd be back to the taller grass for me. However, now she found bigger prey. Her brother looked, well, bored, agitated, and not an easy target. She had been a bit jealous that bother her other siblings had wings and horns, but she was sure that she'd make up for it in other ways. Tok'kal took the long way around to behind Hakkar, and then when the moment was right, she charged him. Giving some whoops and some kind of terrible war cry. She was aiming to headbutt him in the side.

Scouting around the glen, he gave an eager look. He was sure he'd seen Tok'kal around somewhere, not too far away. Straining his ears, he listened for any tell-tale signs that she was around. It was quiet. Almost... too quiet. His eyes scoured the area around him suspiciously. He realised what was going on only a second before a barbaric screech filed the air. His legs scrambled around to try to get out of the way, but he was just a moment too late. A huge blue shape cannonballed into his side.
"Whooaaah!" Came the yelp as he fell to the ground, giving his sister a whack on the head with his flailing wing on the way down. Letting out a growl, he playfully wriggled back onto his feet. "Heeeeey, ah wasn' ready! Das not fair!" He crouched down, arching his back like a cat. He moved first one way, then the other in front of her playfully, flicking his tail eagerly.
He wriggled his noise, looking up at her, eying the tusk that came out of the corner of her mouth. It was the one family trait he hadn't managed to get, something that he was slightly envious of - wings and horns weren't troll traits, after all! A grin spread across his face. "Ah bet you c'n't stalk up on anythin' else!"

Collpasing slightly at the hit with the wing, she was able to quickly get back to her feet. Her mane shook as she got into a solid stance and she arched her neck and tried to look big.
"Fair ain' a t'ing in war." She cooed, her voice a bit raspy. Blue eyes followed his movements, and she heard his taunt. Of course she couldn't sneak up on anything else! Everyone in the glen knew that. It took a lot of effort to be quiet and silent.
Her ears swiveled back and the forward again as she watched her brother wiggle his butt.
"Ya' know I can't. But I don' need ta sneak up on anythin' but you, brudah." She laughed and reared up playfully, letting her hooves dig into the ground when she came down. There were signs already she'd be a strong troll, fast too, but she didn't always think things through.

"Oh, it's a war ya wan'in'?" A very large grin slowly spread across his face as his eyes narrowed. His hind legs kicked up into the air in an over-eager buck. "Brin' it on!" He suddenly leapt on her, using his full weight to try to force her to the ground, wings flapping madly on either side of his body. A loud, victorious scream rose in his throat as he tried to wrestle her down.
Managing to overbalance from all the wind generated by his wings, he ended up toppling to the ground himself again. His teeth set in a low growl.
"Stupid wings." He cursed, whilst rolling over and trying to attack his sister again.
"Ah wasn't ready b'fore! Ya know tha'!"

She actually wasn't ready for him to leap on her, she tried to dodge, but he had her, if only for a moment. Her eyes shut tight against any dust that was drawn up from his furious wings, and then found the weight on her alleviated as he toppled off her.
Quickly she got back to her feet and pawed at the ground, weighing her options and possible attacks.
"Tah, dem wings be more a trouble den they be worth." Part truth, part envy. Tok'kal side stepped one lashing and tried to slam into him with her shoulder. If she could successfully topple him, she'd dog pile on him with a playful laugh.

His eyes watched as Tok'kal pawed the ground, trying to complete his roll in time. He managed to get up onto his hooves and lashed out towards her with one wing again, but she dodge the first hit with a neat side-step. "Yah, well, 't'least ah'll be able t' fly silen'ly and 'tually creep up on stuff!"
He saw her looming towards him with her shoulder, trying to slam him whilst he was off-balance from the swing. He dived into a roll instead, curling into a small ball on the way from his former forward momentum, attempting to cannon-ball into her legs to send her toppling.
Wings tucked in neatly, he hurtled towards her legs, hoping to avoid the incoming shoulder.

Tok'kal gave him a look, tongue stuck out as he made his comment about silent flying. The let down in her guard was long enough for him to take her out.
Sure enough, Hakkar was ab;e to take out her legs. Tok'kal went toppling forward, landing with her chest to the ground, and butt in the air. She flopped to the side and laid rather still, acting dead or unconcious. Her ears were back against her head, eyes closed, waiting to see if her brother would come close to check on her.

Hakkar spilled out of his roll onto the ground, legs splaying about in all directions. He'd hit the ground harder than he'd expected. Wincing, he staggered back up to his feet. With a quick flex, he could tell that nothing seemed to be damaged. He swirled back around to face his sister, sides heaving with exertion, to find her lying still on the ground.
Panic flashed through him, sending his heart racing even faster. Why wasn't she moving? His legs shook with fear. "H-hey! Ah know ya're pretendin'!" He edged a bit closer. She wasn't responding. His eyes looked at her flanks to see if she was breathing, but he couldn't tell. Eyes darting about guiltily, he checked that no adults were watching. "H-hey! C'mon, ah didn' hit ya that hard!"
He took a few hesitant steps towards her, pushing against her side with his muzzle gently.

Tok'kal listened to him move and talk. It took so much to not give a snort or snicker. It took a moment, but she could feel his soft nose against her side and she tossed her head up and nipped at her brother's ear and gave it a tug. She then rolled into a laying position and whinnied playfully.
"I be fine, good tah know you be worried." She cooed and flicked her ears and she let her tail lazily swish against the ground.
