The immediate advantages of the Anima Machinae were quickly witnessed. Being machines, they had no need for food or water, could not feel pain but were capable of discerning damage, were immune to poisons and didn't even require air to breath. Furthermore, they were made of metal, making them far more durable than organics, allowing them to take more punishment if needed.
Veric is a modified Gunner. He possesses enhanced capabilities when using firearms, better capable of landing deadlier shots in addition to being far more efficient when using them. In the case of being engaged in close combat, Veric has extensive training in short blades and knife combat; which should allow him to adequately defend himself. In addition, his body is built with increased agility and reaction systems superior to typical Anima of his size. he is capable of equipping lighter armors (such as leather) to supplement his metal shell's defensive capabilities.
❖ Battle Weakness:
The Anima Machinae are machines after all, sentient but machines nevertheless. If they run out of energy, the Anima engages an emergency shut-down to prevent total destruction and remain inert until repair. Sadly as all machines, broken or damaged areas must be repaired or replaced. They cannot be "healed" such as with magic. Water is more effective against the Anima, as the energy inherent in their system is susceptible to it. Furthermore, removal of their core initiates a slow shutdown. It is slow to grant the Anima a chance to reacquire the core if it is removed during combat.
Due to Steel Warrior's specific modifications, he is incapable of adding heavy armor (thankfully, he is very durable without). Furthermore, he lacks the training to wield the more cumbersome weapons (two-handed). Further modifications did not prevent a dependency on ammunition for combat capabilities. Even then, the Steel Warrior is still limited to four total firearms. It is capable of learning a close combat style, in addition it can master the use of bows but has a hard time due to inherent programming.

Built for war. A singular design for a singular purpose. Combat Model: Steel Warrior was built in a War-Forge in old Jiaum. His masters built him to destroy their enemies, hoping that the Anima's superior capabilities would turn the war for them. Combat Model: Steel Warrior was one of 13 different Combat Models designed to supplement each other and serve as "The Mechanized Warlords" leading far less efficient models in addition to regular soldiers in combat. All of the Combat Models proved their worth time and time again. For nearly 200 years they served with exemplary distinction against the enemy. However, in that time losses were suffered. First 3 of the Mechanized Warlords were lost in an ambush, then 2 were lost in pitched combat. The last 4 turned rogue and had been hunted down and dispatched. Soon there were only 3 of the original 13 still functioning. By then the war had been practically won. Their creators, spooked by the betrayal of something that in theory should have been incapable of doing so, planned to dispatch of the remaining five.
On the eve of victory the creators set a trap, and ambushed the 3 with their own men; they failed. Faced with annihilation at the hands of their creators, the 3 Mechanized Warlords cut a bloody swathe through their would be executioners and fled from the battlefield. They soon split ways, believing that each would have more success in survival on their own. The Combat Model: Steel Warrior wandered the lands, making sure to avoid any inquiries into its past or any meeting with Jiaum officials. He created the name Veric Brener to note his new way of life. Serving as a mercenary for hundreds of years, the Anima's existence was forgotten by most of the world. Yet there still remain some who remember, and search.
Should they come for him, Veric will fight once more and prove just why he was so effective over 400 years ago...
