Hel’s room…well…
It looked like a tornado ******** tore through it.
There were clothes strewn about everywhere, not to mention that all the boxes Hel had stashed under her bed were out, and their various contents strewn about the room. Drawers were out of place, and well…the ghoul was currently sitting cross legged, her brows furrowed intensely, as she threw things out of another box. This was what Hel called…cleaning.

What just even...
The day after she'd gotten engaged, Freya had a very firm goal. She went to the store, and bought the closest thing she could get to champagne (all they would give her was sparkling grape juice.. she didn't mind.) and she brought the bottle, and two cheap plastic glasses over to her sisters room. Without asking, she'd barged in, and now she was staring at the warzone that her sister had created in her dorm.
"HEL!" Freya cried out in shock. "Did yeh gets ROBBED!?"

Hel didn’t startle as Freya barged into her room…after all, she was used to it for eighteen years. All she did was raise a brow as she looked up at her sister. “Uh, no.” She replied in a duh tone…but it was what Freya had in her hands that caught Hel’s attention. First Hel narrowed her eyes, as if she couldn’t believe what she was seeing…and then she just leveled a flat stare.
“Sparkling grape juice? Not only have you fell below the level of being a p***y, but you take that tangy tinted s**t water out of my room and go back to the play ground to share that juice box with your friends.”

Freya had walked in absolutely glowing with happiness, but the sight of the room had worried her, and now Hel's reaction shut her down faster than a whore at a Christian bake sale. She lowered her hands, and looked at the bottle warily, giving it a thick, sad pout. "But that is all they would sells me.. I couldn't gets anything better!" She held up the bottle again, a puppy-dog look on her face begging for some kind of approval. "Hel, I has news teh tells yeh... it deserves some kinds of drinks. What could I do?"

Hel made an exasperated sound. Freya looked like a kicked fire fox. Really. Really!? “Oh, suck it up, buttercup.” Hel sighed, and pushed herself up from the floor and made her way into the kitchen. She riffled through some cabinets, before she came back out with a hefty bottle of something strong. Oh, yanno…that one bottle that where Freya took a sniff she’d be on the floor, strong.
“This.” She lightly whapped her sister in the hip with it. “Is how you celebrate. Now, what are we celebrating?”
Hel was going to regret asking.

Yes! Hel to the rescue! Freya dropped her bottle on the floor (oh good, it was plastic, it didn't break.) and held out the two champagne glasses she'd brought, for her sister to take and fill. She was willingly about to drink something her sister offered? This had to be something special..
..and when she held up her left hand, she proved it to be true. The glow returned to her face, and Freya's grin stretched a mile wide as she hopped from one foot to another. She looked like she was about to cry - and she was. She really was. She couldn't believe she was about to say these words to her sister, the ghoul she loved more than her own life. She'd never thought the day would happen, before all of this.
But it had. And it was.
"I said yes." She whispered, and let out a tiny squeal.

Honestly, truly, really…Hel had not been expecting this, despite how recently Freya had brought the subject up. So the ghoul was perplexed at first, as to why Freya was all but shoving her left hand in her face…but then the glint of the stones off the silver band in the light caught her attention. Hel’s eyes went as wide as saucers and her red eyes shrunk to the size of pin tips.
The next sound was the thud of the heavy glass bottle hitting the floor as it fell from the ghoul’s hand. Luckily it was thick enough glass that it did not shatter.
Hel just stared at the ring, her eyes impossibly wide and an odd sort of silence smothered the room then. An uncomfortable and foreboding one. Freya’s words swam like an echo in her ears, but she was fixated on that ring on her finger.
Finally Hel made a sound, in taking a sharp breath, and she whipped around, storming across the room from her sister and made a bee line for her desk, and the next sounds were that of Hel grabbing the hefty chunk of wood and viciously flipping it over. It landed with a thunderous boom on its top, shattering any fragile items that had been underneath it and sending multiple papers scattering around the room. Hel’s chest heaved, and she clutched at her hair before turning to face the wall. “It is not ******** fair!” She cried, and then firmly planted her hands on her hips.
She was livid.

The first thing that Freya noticed was that Hel had just dropped her bottle of liquor. And she knew, somehow, that this was only the beginning of a downfall.
She bent down to pick the bottle up as her sister stormed off, but when she straightened up again, she shrieked and almost dropped the bottle a second time when she saw the desk flying over onto its side. She winced, and put her hands in front of her face, staring at her sisters back for a moment before putting the bottle down and walking over. She stopped a few inches before her, and reached out, but never touched the ghoul.
Freya's heart was shattered already. There wasn't much more Hel could do to it. There was a soft sound, before Freya reached out and put something in Hel's hand.
"I'll tells him no." The fact that she'd already begun to cry was audible in her shaky, whispery voice.

Hel felt something small, round and metal be pressed into her hand and well…Hel ******** lost it.
The ghoul whipped around, and grabbed Freya’s left wrist in her hand, her other fist clenched tightly around the ring as she stared up at her sister, her eyes fiery and her nostrils flaring. “Are you ******** kidding me!?” She yelled. “Do you even know why I am so ******** pissed right now!? It is because ever since I had clung to the idea of marriage when I was younger, you had mocked, taunted, tormented, and relentlessly dragged my dreams through the Jack damn mud! I had wanted it so bad, and yet here you are, with a boil who worships the ground you walk on and revolves around you, and he asked for your hand and you told him no! But oh, now you tell him yes? ******** hypocrite! But now you want to tell that boil who thinks the world of you no again!? What the ******** is wrong with you!? You have something I have desperately yearned for so damn bad, and now you are just going to throw it away like it is TRASH! What I would not give just to be you right now!”
She huffed. “Here you are, rubbing it in my face once again…the idea you scoffed at for so long…All yours.” Hel took the ring, and she shoved it back onto Freya’s finger. “If it is what your heart truly desires, then fight for it…and if you are as Jack damn wishy washy as to be swayed by someone as petty as me, then you need to ******** revaluate all of this.”
There was the challenge.

Freya's eyes went wide when her sister lost it, screaming up at her with an amount of fury she'd never seen before (which was saying something). When Freya's previous responses to Kettil were brought up, she cringed, looking as if she'd just been slapped. She didn't need to be reminded of how much she'd made the boil wait.. or whether he'd given up on her if she said no again. But when Hel laid out her jealousy in front of her sister, she realized that even giving it all up wouldn't save her. She'd done it because she just wanted - NEEDED Hel to be happy with her again. All she got, instead, was more hate, more anger, more admonishment. Freya felt as small as a mouse, and perhaps just as smart.
"He is what my heart truly desires." Freya couldn't let that question go unanswered, but once it was, humility filled her features and her voice. "But I just.. wanted to make you happy.."
She knew she was wrong. She knew she'd made just another mistake.
She just didn't know how to fix anything, anymore. Her finger ached from how hard Hel had shoved it back on, and she rubbed it gently. What was she supposed to do?
"Fine." Her voice cracked, and she cleared it, trying again. "Fine. I'm gettings married. And I'm sorry that yehr not yet, but right now, I wants teh celebrates with yeh. So, okays, yeh still wants teh be cruel about it. Fine. But at least tolerate my happiness for a little while." Was that too much to ask? She couldn't be sure.

Luckily, that rant burned Hel’s steam, as did Freya’s honest answer. The ghoul’s shoulders slumped, and she just looked at her sister with a dismayed look before she shook her head. “If he is what your heart desires, Freya…then stop putting me above it. The idea that you would let me affect your love for Kettil is…so ridiculous! You need to…be like me in this regard! I do not care if my love for Mac makes you happy or not…I never have. I truly do not…because it is not your happiness, it is mine…and in the end Freya, you are not responsible for my happiness…that falls on me, and me alone…so stop trying.”
The ghoul took a deep breath, and managed to crack a bit of a forced smile on her face. Tolerate her happiness? Yeah, she could manage…with some help. The ghoul swiped the bottle from off the floor, uncapped it, and took a long and deep swig from it. She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, and then slapped her sister’s a** with the bottle, somehow not managing to spill a single drop.
“I christen this ship Freytil, and it is set to sail!” She actually proclaimed this in a chipper tone, pumping the bottle into the air with gusto.

Freya's heart felt like it was going to explode. Even if Hel didn't realize how much she really did affect her sister, the fact that she was telling her to nut up and go for it made Freya sure that she'd made the right decision. She grinned, biting her lower lip even as her sister went for the bottle and took a deep swig. But as she drank, something Hel said finally clicked. .... ............. "Yeh LOVES MAC?" Freya was frozen in the exact moment when she realized what had been said, but then a soft wail escaped her, and she took the bottle that had just slapped her in the a**. "I needs a drink." Freya took a long, hard swig of whatever the alcohol inside was.. before anyone could stop her from this horrible mistake.

Then it was Hel’s turn to look surprised as it clicked for her. “… It was not obvious!?” She asked her sister incredulously, leo-squinting at her like she had lost her mind. How could it not be obvious? It was the thing she was angsting about for since well...way too long. She snatched the bottle from her sister after she took that ill-fated swig, and the younger valkyrie took another. “Sheesh…” She couldn’t help but smile a bit though…just from the ridiculousness of it all. “…So…” She started. “…Make any plans yet?” She paused, and then stared at Freya. “ Tell Mama and Papa yet?”

Freya felt the punch of alcohol in her system mere seconds after the bottle was lifted away from her lips and taken from her hands. She shook her head, and pouted at her sisters accusations. "How was I supposed teh knows.. I never sees the two of yeh together! NOT THAT I WANTS TEH.. I just.. yeh knows." She threw her hands up in the air. "I didn't knows!"
So her sister was in love. With a douchebag. That explained a lot of things.. a lot. But she'd already promised that she wouldn't try to change Hel's mind concerning how terrible of an idea Mac was.. so all she could do was make ridiculous groaning sounds from her throat. Because that solved.. what, exactly?
She wanted to apologize to her sister, but with what little sanity the ghoul had left, she realized that apologizing for Hel's choices was an insult. She was just going to get beaten down for it - and she was already vulnerable enough as it was. So instead she slumped down onto the ground, listened to her sisters final words, and laughed just a little too loudly.
"Of course not! Hel, they haven't even mets him. They're not goings teh knows until the times is right. Besides, yeh knows yehr always the first I tells anything teh. It only happened last night." She scooted closer and wrapped her arms around her sisters leg, cuddling her face into it.
"I loves yeh, crumpet."
Stupid Mac, ruining her sisters heart with his .. his .. stupidness.

Hel swirled the liquid around the bottle, and took another swig…definitely not feeling the effects like her dear sister. She snickered at the ghoul’s words. “Well…ya…! That is because we hang out outside of Amity. At the lake, in the woods, at the batting cages…we get sushi a lot too…and then we are in our rooms too.” These were all places Freya did not frequent, so of course she wouldn’t see anything.
“…Heh. Good luck when you do finally tell them. Yanno it is going to turn into a giant fiasco. A blow job from a cannibal is more appealing than telling them that sort of news…” Hel blinked, and stared down at the ghoul as she wrapped her arms around her leg…and her free hand came to pet the ghoul on top of her fair blonde head. “I love you too.” She replied, and mulled over something for a bit, before deciding to tell.
“…I told him how I felt…but he did not say anything in reply…and well, it bothers me, yanno? But…I am going to wait, Freya. I am going to wait and see how things turn out. I want to wait for him. So…do not worry about me.”
