i wish my school had a male flute player!!! he would probably show us that we suck and guys play better!!!

Hey, I wouldn't go as far as saying you guys suck, im pretty sure your really good, i find with most flutists they tend to slack or talk a lot, wow that was a big stereotype! anyways, male and female flutists are just as good!

hee hee I tend to slack and talk a lot lol but some of our other flute players..*tries to think* wait no they all slack and we're the most yelled at section for talking lol that's my band anyways....

our first chair last year was a chair. and like 1st chair honors band. silly asians. he got this award from the marine band that only 1 HS senior gets in america. my BD is funny he said "see you next year" to the guy as he walked off stage.

See, i find there aren't many male flutists in schools, but i must admit they are very hard working, currently first chair is occupied by me *goes crazy* *regains composure*, so anyways, GO MALE FLUTISTS!!!!

I play trumpet and flute. Flute's my main though - I'm second chair(in the upper class band and I'm just a freshman).
Anyways, it's probably because flutes are seen as more of a "girly" instrument, when in fact I started playing the flute because of the challenge(plus it can be SO beautiful when played right). The greatest(or at least considered greatest) flute player of all time is a male flutist - James Gallway. He's my freaking hero! He's so cool. mrgreen

I'm a guy. I wish I played the flute. It's one of the instruments I want to learn eventually, along with Bassoon, French Horn, and Violin.

We have a boy flute player, i love him to death! (as a brother) he is so awesome and funny! Every band should have a guy flute player!
