Running, running, running. Sunset's paint was always on the go, constantly chasing after an adventure or three to give himself ideas and right now was no exception as he raced through the swamp on swift feet. There was a butterfly he was chasing that had a wondrous pattern and he was eager to take a look at it when it stopped, but so far it had just been giving him a run through the swamp. While not unwelcome, for it had been awhile since he had a good run, the buck was getting tired of chasing after the spectral like creature. A turn around a tree soon remedied his problem as the butterfly was gone, seemingly vanishing out of thin air. A quick run around the area soon confirmed that it was indeed gone and Sunset sighed, now unsure what to do but knowing he didn't want to go back to his little home yet.

"You lost your friend," came a soft voice from the edge of the clearing. Light Holds Sway stepped into view, her head turned not toward Sunset's Paint, but off toward the swamp itself. As she turned back, her broken horn became visible. "Quite a pretty friend, too, from the glimpse I caught," she added, a warm look in her eyes.

Sunset's Paint turned towards the source of the voice, his eyes instantly falling upon the pure white doe that was upon the edge of the clearing. A grin played upon his face when he saw her, dazzled by her beauty although slightly saddened by her broken horn. "It's alright," He replied, stepping away from his spot to get closer to the pretty doe, "I think I found a prettier one instead as my inspiration for painting." He offered a warm smile towards Light Holds Sway and although he moved closer, he made sure to keep a safe distance. "I'm Sunset's Paint, who're you?" He asked.

"My name is Light Holds Sway, though you're most welcome to call me Light," she returned, stepping closer. If she was shy of the flawed horn, she didn't show it. Her head remained high and proud, her eyes warm and friendly.
"You paint? I would love to see," she offered, her ears flicked forward in interest.

"It's lovely to meet you Light." He offered in return, now a little more comfortable with her getting closer. He stepped forward in return, noticing her confidence of her horn and his smile grew warmer. "I do indeed paint," He started, his tail giving a quick swish, "But I am a little far from where I keep my supplies, chasing after knowledge and supplies to bring back." He gave a quick glance around the area though, his eyes falling upon some rocks he had used before in white paint. If he could find some water... surely there was a pond nearby. "I may be able to show you though, if you know of some water nearby and don't mind being my subject."

The warmth in Light's eyes grew to delight as she nodded her head, turning toward the way she'd come. "Through here and to the north a bit, there's a bayou. You can get some water from there, right?" she suggested, considering for a moment before looking back at him thoughtfully. "Although... I have nothing to carry it in. Do you?"

"I'm sure I can make something to bring it back in." He replied easily, shaking his head in a confident manner. "Let's take a walk over there, I'm sure it won't be too long. Besides, we can talk about so much." Playfully he grinned, brushing by her lightly as he moved forward towards the direction she had nodded towards.

She didn't pull away from the brushing, her eyes flickering down almost coyly before she looked back at him. "All right. Two can carry more than one, after all," she suggested, moving to walk alongside him. "Tell me about your painting? What do you usually paint? Creatures like your friend?" she asked, head casting back in the direction of the butterfly that had brought them together. "Other kin?"
