The Captain Commander's Office consists entirely of a masive balcony that overlooks the entirety of the Sereitei. Running along the side of the balcony is a very ornate red-stained wood railing and massive pillars that hold up the entirety of the structure. The floors are made of a polished maple wood, and the walls are clean- save a few scrolls with protective calligraphy and blessings that were gifts to the current Captain Commander- Byakuya Kuchiki. Byakuya has added few paintings and sculptures around the room dedicated to those that have fallen in battle. The doors are always guarded.
At the farthest end of the room is a very elegant blonde wood desk with a matching chair. It is here where Byakuya sits to complete his tasks. During a recent refurbishment, he has made it so that there is actually a Lieutenant's desk diagonal to his (spaced far away so as not to be pressed against each other). At the other end of the room, there is a traditional tea table- surrounded by multiple body-sized beautiful ming vases with exotic leaves poking out from the top. The fabrics on the tablecloths are very elegant and ornate. While Byakuya admired the simplicity of the former 1st Division Office, he has renovated to give it a much more appealing style.

“Honor was never taking the easy way when it was also the wrong one. Never telling a falsehood unless the truth was painful and unnecessary, or a lie was necessary to save others." A spray of color was painted across the horizon with the rising of the sun in the distance, the air of the morning somewhat crisp this time of year though in the office the amazing view was being paid little mind by it's occupant.
Shizuka often got to to the office before the Captain Commander and tended to stay longer in the evening's. The building and it's squadron was kept in fair order as a result of her dedicated behavior. People often whispered that she had developed an obsessive compulsive disorder; whispers included a story where a upcoming member of the squadron had purposefully displaced several of her papers. Rumor has it her eye had twitched only a moment before the offending young soul reaper was transferred to permanent janitorial duty on the fourth squadron.
While such a rumor had never been proven, there was a strict ship-like order to the woman that many other people in the squads had come to respect (if not fear). She aspired to be the perfect lieutenant and there was a certain standard Shizuka had to show to others in hopes they would follow her example. Papers were already filed for the morning and those things she couldn't personally deal with were neatly stacked on the part of the desk that had - in her mind at least - become the 'in-box'. A small paperweight on the upper corner of them so the open-air didn't blow them away.
She was returning with a small silver tray, preparing tea as she so often did in the morning - as Byakuya arrived early most days Shizuka had simply reacted to make certain things were correctly placed. The cup was left next to a small plate of green tea biscuits shaped mysteriously similar to the sand sculpture he'd made during the outing to the beach years ago. Once she had it set out for the Captain she paused to look over the desk and room, eyes scanning for anything out of place before she tucked a stray piece of hair back into her bun and made a glass of tea for herself. If she was right he'd arrive somewhat soon, his tendency to come early was something she'd just started to view as an average day.
"The peace as of late is welcome, we're actually caught up for the most part..." Shizuka thought as she glanced toward the view for the first time that morning. Considering soul society with her crystalline gaze silently. "Still...everyone seems restless as well. We're warriors at heart so what do we do when we lose an enemy to fight?"
She already knew the answer to that question, incidents of in-fighting had been going up, more squadron to squadron squabbles breaking out. Just training seemed to not be enough for many, particularly eleventh squadron who tended to build up a dozen or more such complaints daily. With a light sigh she turned back toward her desk, she had such reports to still look over... INDENTThe scent of the tea drifting with the breeze was enough to tempt the Captain Commander into his own office. He gently pressed his hand against the door, easing the wooden panel aside. With black hair swaying about his face like inky tendrils reaching out, Byakuya rested his slate-gray gaze upon the tea that had already been prepared. Shizuka had always impressed him with her punctuality. She was never a moment too late whenever she was needed- and this was the sort of effeciency Byakuya needed to ensure the well-being of the other squadrons. For a few seconds, the herbal scent tickled at his nose, enticing him to come forth and have a sip.
INDENTA rush of the breeze caused Byakuya's cream-white haori to drift into the air, revealing it's royal purple lining. It had been adorned with a specially designed collar and multiple golden intricate designs- making Byakuya's rather princely appearance far more regal than usual. He walked into the room, barely making a single noise as he leafed through a stack of papers that he was holding on to. He stopped only a few feet away from Shizuka- who was beside her desk. His elven features were enhanced by the sunlight, making his hardened expression seemed excessively dramatic. His eyes gazed upon each paper, before finally lifting off and settling upon Shizuka's own. "Good morning, Shizuka-fukutaicho. Thank you for preparing the tea." He spoke with a deep voice that sliced through the peaceful silence of the morning atmosphere. He gently pulled three individual envelopes from the stack of papers he had been going through, and settled them upon her desk.
INDENT"This first letter appears to be an invitation of some sort. It is addressed directly to you from the Shiba Noble Family. I too, have received one. The second letter contains all information I have set aside for you to address at the next Lieutenant's Meeting, should you choose to host one. It concerns the renewed codes of conduct. Lastly, this final set of documents addresses the proposal for the Alternative Squad Zero. Despite the fact that I've repeatedly mentioned my inability to make final decision on it, they still send me copies of the proposal. I suppose hearing your opinion on the matter might help rationalize whether or not to follow through with the proposal." He ensured that the envelopes were stacked neatly- so as not to irk Shizuka- and moved over to his own desk. Usually conversation was limited to statements such as these. Naturally, Byakuya was quite professional and strict. He often did not allow for much flexibility unless a newer idea clearly proved to be more advantageous than the previous. The very thought of another Squad being developed to create a strengthened bond between the Soul Society and Karakura Town seemed too far of a stretch for Byakuya's liking.
INDENTHe picked up his tea cup, noting the presence of the Seaweed Ambassador on his plate, and took a sip. 'Ah- So she still remembers.' Byakuya thought to himself, his eyes studying the other documents stacked within his inbox. As usual, these documents probably consisted of a multitude of Squad evaluation sheets and minor-scale proposals that would require his attention. Additionally, he'd have to dispatch a squad of Shinigami to scout Karakura. 'It would be wise to send a Lieutenant, along with a Seated Member and perhaps an Unseated...' Byakuya pondered to himself, rubbing his chin thoughtfully as he strategically sorted out his plan of action. 'This way, should there be any potential threats- they can be eliminated easily by the dispatched team. All city-wide evaluations would be completed much faster.'

“Honor was never taking the easy way when it was also the wrong one. Never telling a falsehood unless the truth was painful and unnecessary, or a lie was necessary to save others." Shizuka stood and bowed a long moment when the Captain Commander entered the room though as he continued about his own business she did so as well, a little more relaxed than the days that she would have held it until specifically told to cease. Her bow wasn't as low at it might be usually but then she was holding tea so it was to be expected she wouldn't spill it - would rather defeat the purpose of a polite greeting.
"Good morning Captain, you are very welcome." She blinked as she watched him settle the papers on her desk, looking back to him and listening to his remarks seriously. Not indulging in any tea as she waited for comments or orders, then eventually replying "I will forward the codes of conduct to all squadrons and should the need arise have a meeting of fellow lieutenants." Judging by her words she was already considering a date.
"In the matters of the Alternative Squad Zero it seems difficult to predict how useful such a position would be given our limited contact with the world of the living at this time. However, I don't see how such a direction could be directly harmful. Logically it has more potential for use than waste." She explained thoughtfully as he asked for her opinion. Taking a rational approach was often her side of things, though she showed a little empathy by adding, "Besides, I think with much of the current restlessness taking place something new in the courts would offer a much needed breath of fresh air."
"As far as the invitation is concerned, I presume it involves the celebration Lieutenant Shiba had mentioned in regard's to his aunt's birthday. If you would prefer I can pick you up a gift and card of a suitable nature. I already put in paperwork regarding taking half the day off unless you had something specific in mind for me." There was just a bit of a begrudging tone to her remark, likely she'd promised to attend though didn't actually wish to take time off. Shizuka was one that was 'married to her work' as the phrase goes.
Shizuka waited until the Captain sat to take a seat at her own desk again, eyes on her paperwork and a piece of parchment out taking notes for other things she needed to get done in regards to the codes of conduct. INDENT"I see." Byakuya replied, snapping away from his thoughts at the mention of the proposal. Indeed, Shizuka's advice was certainly sound. He looked down towards the proposal again before finally settling into his seat, taking up one of his calligraphy brushes into his hand. He began to write. "Very well. I will hold a Captain's meeting about it. This means that not only would we refer to ourselves as the Gotei 14, now, but we would have to elect a new Captain. The candidate for such a position would have to be well-versed in human affairs. We would also have to organize an entire squadron- and elect representatives from each of the squads to hold a seat in Alternate Squad Zero." So many tasks were flooding in that Byakuya could almost drown in them. He sighed ever so quietly, for he rarely did so, and pulled the stack of papers from his inbox. "Additionally, we would have to find the space for another Squad. We do own an empty plot of land nearby to the Sixth Division Barracks. I assume construction could start there." Byakuya leafed through the pages of the proposal- the copy that he owned- and finally found the spot that required his signature. "Considering the circumstances, I can only think of one individual that would be suited for Captain of Alternative Squad Zero." He began as he signed with his elegant signature.
".... Kurosaki Ichigo."
INDENTThat name had become something of a legend within the Soul Society, especially seeing as he had been missing in action for some great length of time. As he finalized the document, Byakuya placed the completed proposal in his outbox and grabbed the next few sheets of paper. The invitation slipped out from the stack and settled onto his lap. Byakuya opened the flap and read through it's contents. The paper alone was made of a very expensive satin- which was etched in gold print. It read the following:
You are cordially invited to attend the Annual Shiba Noble Family Firework Festival...
It has been a tradition for centuries that the firework festival be hosted, and this year, it is in honor of Kukaku Shiba's birthday. Enjoy this wonderful evening under the stars, and prepare to witness some of the most amazing displays of fireworks known to the Soul Society. Formal attire is prefferred.
-Raine Shiba.
Byakuya looked over to Shizuka, assuming that she too had read the invitation. "Thank you for the offer, however I believe I might already have something to offer. Seeing as I, too, was invited- I must attend. This means you are free to take the time off. Now that the Shiba Household has restored its status as a Noble Family, it becomes my duty to uphold a positive relationship with them. It is difficult, however, to come to terms with their renewed status seeing as the current head of the family seems rather.... unruly..."

“Honor was never taking the easy way when it was also the wrong one. Never telling a falsehood unless the truth was painful and unnecessary, or a lie was necessary to save others." Shizuka began writing down notes, where and when she learned short hand was difficult to say and while it wasn't incredibly pretty she could write a fair amount in a tiny amount of time and it might as well be in code for as likely as anyone was to decipher it with ease (or at all). "I will contact people to have bids come in for construction and begin to research an appropriate cost for the buildings we would require. It would have less space than many squadrons but for it's purpose I believe even the limited area could be utilized with effective planning."
She was looking at her page as her brush made small scratching sounds on the parchment. "I can also work up an application for those in other squadron's interested in volunteering for positions that includes comments from their current Captain for any recommendation for such a diplomatic position - or otherwise depending on the individual. I can also begin to draft any changes needed for the alteration from thirteen to fourteen."
Yep, given a list of problems and she just took off with it. The ultimate task-manager. She was already plotting given how quickly her brush was moving across the page, perhaps it lacked the elegance of her leader but what her short hand lost in grace it made up in effectiveness. She didn't look up from her blurred writing until Byakuya spoke of the party, hand hovering over the page but the brush lacked enough ink to drip while she took the momentary break.
"Yes, the Shiba Clan can be...unorthodox...at times. However, I am glad to hear you will also be in attendance sir. If there is anything I can help you with please don't hesitate to let me know." Shizuka's obligatory offer of aid, while it was a little of a programmed reply she was still genuine. "I appreciate the evening off sir, thank you."
Shizuka would open the invitation later, it was at the bottom of her in box as she had other things she felt were more important to focus on. Her time was much like the rest of her, controlled and planned, even down to the opening of envelopes. INDENTByakuya listened, though his eyes were still fixed on the papers that he was scribbling his signature onto. "Indeed, it would have less space- however I do not plan for it to have an entire militia at it's disposal. This squad should be exclusive." Byakuya explained as he lifted the stack of papers from off his desk and clicked them against the wooden surface- aligning them into a neat pile. He then slipped them into a wooden wall-mailbox, where a subordinate would distribute them accordingly. "There should be an interviewing process after the actual application is filled by interested volunteers. I do not wish to recruit members that will not meet the standard for this squadron."
It was as if the Thirteen Court Guard squads had taken the liberty of dumping a pile of work onto Byakuya. About a month ago, he had enough free time on his hands to hold daily calligraphy lessons. Now they were limited to weekly sessions, seeing as his schedule did not allow for much leisure time. It was likely that Byakuya would be confined to the office for the rest of the day. It was a wonder that he would be able to actually attend the firework festival. Unorthodox... would be the exact term to describe the Shiba Clan. 'Their unusual habits do not effectively represent the traits expected of a Noble.' Byakuya was not one to think wrongly of others, however he was very critical and often did not take a liking to flaws. The Shiba Clan was regarded to with prestige, so therefore they should act as any Noble should- calm, collected, organized... like his son. Shiba-fukutaicho was usually energetic, excited, and frequently misbehaved.
Byakuya looked over to his calendar. He blinked. There was something scribbled down for today. "I see on the calendar that we have an appointment today with a seated member of Squad 4. From the time listed here, it should be a matter of minutes before they arrive. Did they notify you as to why this appointment was made?"
"As you pass into the next life.... Feel honored that you have perished by my bankai."

Fifth Seat Ⓢⓠⓤⓐⓓ ④ Before Byakuya could so much as answer the question, there was a sudden burst as the doors flew wide open- startling the First Division Captain. Immediately, Byakuya's hand reached down to his blade- reacting defensively to the sudden intrustion. "Byyyyyaaaaa-kuuuuuunnnnnn!!!!" The voice resonated throughout the room. Immediately, Byakuya's pupils dilated. They had sent the Fifth Seat of Fourth Division, Hikaru Yamada of the Yamada clan. Collecting his bearings again, Byakuya quietly moved back behind his desk- seating himself as the visitor entered the room.
He was a young, child-like boy. His eyes dazzled with the lightest shade of powder blue, and his hair was as gold as honey. His rosy cheeks were round, like that of a child's, and his dazzling smile seemed to make him far more innocent than he really could've been. He was wearing the standard issued Fourth Division uniform, however all of the straps and sashes were pink. His zanpakuto that was secured to his side had little beads and charms dangling from tassels at the pommel of the hilt. He scurried up towards the front of the room and held up his hand in what was a very sloppily executed salute. "Hello Bya-kun!" He beamed
"It's Kuchiki-sama... or Kuchiki-Taich-" "Oh!" Byakuya was cut off mid-correction by Hikaru's voice.
"Oh! Shizu-chan is here too! Hello Shizu-chan!" Hikaru waved.
"Did you create this appointment to disrupt our routine or was there something of importance that you needed to address?" Byakuya asked. While the comment was cold, it demanded that Hikaru go straight to the point.
"Hai!" Hikaru nodded, confirming Byakuya's question. "I came here to talk to you about something important!" He said as he walked over to Byakuya's desk and placed another stack of papers. "First, here are all the list of shinigami that died. It's very short so that's a good thing. I don't like it whenever shinigami die. You know- when I looked at the list it turns out that hollow attacks are the main cause. I don't like hollows. They cause a lot of trouble and they make me sad because of all the mean things they do and-" "To the point... Yamada-san." Byakuya's stare had hardened. It was clear he was annoyed.
"Well... I came to volunteer! Our Taicho said that you guys needed volunteers from each squad when the petithy...-petletion... pe- pet- petition- that's it! When the petition went around I volunteered! No one else really wanted to and I definitely qualify so she made an appointment for me to be interviewed! Oh! and here are my records!" Hikaru chimed as he placed, yet, another heavy stack on the table. It seemed that within the stacks were multiple letters of recommendation and a history of all of the missions he had been on- as well as the tasks he had fulfilled. As much as it pained Byakuya to admit, the boy certainly qualified for the position. Byakuya had the sneaky suspicion, however, that Hikaru had used his child-like charms and firendly attitude to convince the other Captains to sign letters of recommendation for him. Additionally, the petition had only been sent out awhile ago. Had the Captains been discussing the petition behind his back for this long? These thoughts troubled Byakuya.
"I see, very well. Seeing as I now have to look through your records to list you as the first volunteer- Shizuka-san... If you would please, may you conduct a brief interview for Hikaru Yamada?" Byakuya expected that soon enough other squads would also be sending over members that qualified. They hadn't even elected a Captain for Alternate Squad Zero. This shoved the duty of the interviewing temporarily to those officers of the First Division. Yes indeed, this month was going to be a very busy month. Byakuya picked up the stack and began to leaf through the pages, studying its contents.
Hikaru scooted over to Yukumi's desk, staring at her with his bright eyes. "Ooohhh an interview!" He began munching on the Seaweed Ambassador cookie that Yukumi had set out for Byakuya earlier. It was unclear when Hikaru had managed to snatch it from off his desk.

Yukumi Shizuka Lt. of Squad One“Honor was never taking the easy way when it was also the wrong one. Never telling a falsehood unless the truth was painful and unnecessary, or a lie was necessary to save others." Shizuka drew the brush away from the paper only a moment before she would have left a long streak through her notes. It was more a matter of instinct than personal thought, her slight scowl only flickered across her face before vanishing again. "I think you're only alive cause you're adorable..." Shizuka thought at Hikaru as the boy moved over toward Byakuya.then interrupted him...
Shizuka didn't wave, or nod, she just stared, blinking a couple times and keeping her expression carefully neutral as she heard the irritation starting to enter Byakuya's voice. The rest of the squadrons members seemed to have little understanding of what behavior they should possess in front of their leader. She would get used to it someday she was sure...today however wasn't that day. Byakuya retained his temper other than the warning in his tone, it was often as far as many of his warnings went. She really had to learn to do that...which was difficult with the boy reaper piling papers on her Captain's desk that she hadn't had the chance to look over. There were few greater crimes than that in the world of Yukumi Shizuka.
They started talking and Shizuka cleaned her brush, cleaning helped her nerves. She glanced up when her name was spoken and nodded to Byakuya's request. "Of course Captain."
Then Hikaru came over with one of the Captain's cookies and her eyebrow twitched twice, over a couple of seconds of silence before she pulled out a new sheet of paper to take notes with. Launching into a series of questions while keeping her voice level, offering small pauses . "Yamada-san, do you have experience in the human world and please briefly explain how much if so? Is there a specific reason that you wished to volunteer? There is a certain level of diplomatic relationships involved in this sort of position, do you believe you can put forth a professional face if the need arises?"
Shizuka, ever serious, was even more so now, every bite Hikaru took just grated further on her nerves. She kept her face pretty clear though, her temper was much improved compared to years ago when it came to anything regarding her Captain.

Fifth Seat Ⓢⓠⓤⓐⓓ ④ Hikaru nibbled on the cookie, registering the flavor of the treat as he stared curiously at Yukumi Shizuka. "Mhm~! I was one of the few of the Fourth Division allowed to go into the human world like my uncle!" He beamed, as he smacked his lips and looked back over at the half-eaten cookie. "This tastes weird.... I don't want it!" He said with a wide grin as he tossed the cookie away with admirable strength. The cookie whizzed out from over the balcony and fell down somewhere into the depths of the Sereitei. Hikaru rubbed his chin as he attempted to think about the answer to the question. "I have been going to the human world with squadrons of shinigami to kill the hollow monsters. I have survived every attack and I have never let anyone in my platoon die! It's in my records. Whenever we would go, we would separate into smaller groups of three! We would fight the scary hollow monsters and make sure they stopped being mean to the humans. Whenever the shinigami got a boo boo, I made them all better! In other times, I even played with the kids in the playground and I make friends with all kinds of spirits! Like for example, there was this old lady who was stuck there but we freed her spirit because she was lost and couldn't make her way to the spirit world. Then there was this little girl who was pretty and she loved cats, she also was a little lost but she knew she was dead I think. Oh! Oh! I have family that lives in the real world too!" The word 'briefly' seemed to mean 'give as much possible detail' to Hikaru.
"I wanted to be in this division because my Taicho even says I am one of the best healers! That and look at my reiatsu!" He said as he stood up eagerly. He clenched his fists, buckled his legs, and gritted his teeth as if he were about to absorb a planet's worth of energy. In a matter of seconds, he exploded with pink reiatsu. It was a massive whirlwind torrent of pink- whipping wildly like untamed fire. His strength in reiatsu seemed to resemble that of Zaraki Kenpachi's. Papers flew off from Shizuka's desk- soaring into the air- some drifting off over the balcony. Hikaru slowed down his reiatsu, and brought it to a neat little coating of pink around his body. It was much calmer now. The First Division Office was somewhat messier than before. A few of the side-tables had toppled over- spilling bowls of sugar and the bamboo plants all over the ground. Papers littered the floor. "Oh no! I made a mess! Sorry Shizu-san! But look, that reiatsu is special because it is so strong- so I can heal really big wounds." Byakuya, who was busy brushing stray incense ash from his haori, looked over at Hikaru. He recalled quite vivdly the many occasions where Hikaru had proved himself to be a very strong healer. Indeed, the Zero Squad could use someone with that ability. What bothered Byakuya to no end was Hikaru's obnoxious personality.
"If you're talking about being professional- I already make friends with everyone that I meet! Look, like you're my friend too! And there's Bya-kun and Shiba-kun and Ruru-chan and Little Bya-kun and... oh there's so many! A lot of my members trust me. I have the letters of recommendation to prove it! Plus, I know how to get tasks done and stuff!" Hikaru seemed way too eager- as if answering the questions alone thrilled him. "But...." His lips suddenly drew into something of a frown. His eyes dimmed a shade, and his round cheeks seemed a little less rosy. He stared at Shizuka with a completely blank expression. "If by diplomatic you mean looking like Little Bya-kun... I can do that too." His voice had dulled temporarily, before he resumed his child-like smile.

Yukumi Shizuka Lt. of Squad One“Honor was never taking the easy way when it was also the wrong one. Never telling a falsehood unless the truth was painful and unnecessary, or a lie was necessary to save others." Shizuka's eyebrow twitched slightly as Hikaru continued to nibble unconcerned at his stolen treat. Then she frowned slightly as the pale green cookie went sailing out the window, her corrective tone was well practiced and it didn't take much to realize she was chiding him for the action. "We have trash cans for that purpose Fifth Seat Yamada, I'd appreciate if you cease littering on the court grounds. Think of your position as well, you are setting a poor example to your underlings by behaving in such a manner."
After she'd made her remark she listened to the rest of his answer, idly pondering as he went on if she'd somehow displeased her Captain to get pulled into this duty. More likely Byakuya just didn't want to do it himself, and she couldn't particularly blame him.
By the time Hikaru stood up to show off his reiatsu Shizuka was convinced she was the most loyal lieutenant in the soul society. Shizuka's personal praise paused as she instead snatched papers from the air with surprising agility, only missing a few that had gone too far for her to reasonably gather. She frowned a little after the papers scattered out the window and made a mental note to buy a few paperweights on her next trip to the markets. Motioning to one of the other squad members to gather the papers before they ended up destroyed.
"I have a hard time imagining you reacting in the same manner as the Sixth Squadron Captain." Shizuka remarked idly, indeed she couldn't imagine it at all. It was too far a cry from the overzealous boy in front of her. Still, it wouldn't be up to her in the end, she wasn't the leader of the new squadron, it was simply her duty to gather the appropriate information and offer as neutral of observations as possible in her own judgment of the boy.
"I will write up a summary of your commentary and attach it to your letters of recommendation; please drop them off at my dorm room at your earliest convenience. Without them the captain of the new squadron will have less with which to judge your appropriate placement." Shizuka did not add 'or placement at all' - she could be diplomatic. She stared silently at him a long moment, pale crystal eyes seeming to think better of whatever else she'd planned to say before asking what she hoped was a final question. "Is there anything further you would like to add before you are dismissed?"
Shizuka had to write her own recommendations regarding the absurdly happy child. Her expression was a blank slate as she stared at him, having recovered from showing her irritation only moments ago. The sooner the boy was out of her hair the sooner she could start cleaning up after him. INDENTByakuya had finished the paperwork only shortly before his Lieutenant and the overly-optimistic child completed the interview. He silently rearranged the writing utensils on his desk- mostly bothered by the fact that the child had presented his spirit energy in front of them.
"Hmmm... Oh! Oh well- I don't know... Nope!" Hikaru chimed in response to Shizuka's question. He kicked his feet back and forward eagerly in his chair. His bright eyes almost matched the shade of blue of Shizuka's- though his color was more vivid.
"Excellent." Byakuya began. He was now standing beside the two of them with his arms folded behind his back. "I do not wish to rush you, Yamada-san, but we have work to return to. Thank you for visiting." It almost pained him to choke out the last sentence. He wasn't entirely grateful at all for the visit. Hikaru had managed to give them much more work than he had originally planned for the day.
"Okay! You guys can get back to your little daily sha-ding-dong-dooglies!" Hikaru hopped off his seat. Byakuya began to ponder what exactly Hikaru had meant when he said that. He fumbled with the words for a short minute to try to attach some meaning to it- but gave up on the thought and opened his mouth to speak.
"Shizuka-san. Does Yamada have all the necessary documents needed for his departure?" He asked, his steel-gray eyes looming over to her.
"As you pass into the next life.... Feel honored that you have perished by my bankai."

Though it might have gone unnoticed, there was a small vibration somewhere in the First Division Office. Be it in the Head-Captain's robes, or on his desk, a Soul Cell was alerting someone of a message that needed to be read.
[4:52pm JST (Japan Standard Time) Konnichiwa, nii-sama. I know this is short notice, but your niece Hisana just arrived home with several bad scars and bruises. She explained to us of a vicious Hollow attack earlier this afternoon at her school that nearly killed her. In the midst of such panic, she has realized her shinigami powers, and by her explanation, they appear somewhat unstable. We would like to know of the best possible solution to make sure she is prepared next time something like this happens. We all know what kinds of dilemmas are bound to arise at any moment. RSVP when immediately available. This is an opportunity for both the Clans, and the Gotei 14. Do not skip on it.]
