Several Hunters would find, as they went to you know, go about their daily life outside their limited dorm room space (for most), an odd paper slipped under their door. Most papers slipped under doors usually contained useful information such as being promoted on a mission, or getting a mission report back with words such as 'If this is not completed in X hours, I will assert Y death, signed P', where X = the number of hours, Y = the type of death and P = the Princess in concern writing said note. Other notes included invitations to parties that sometimes never happened or became the Saddest Parties Ever, Sexy Beach Meets (that were all guys), Bowling Events (with no bowling court), and a variety of entirely useless extracurricular activities. This one however, at least had the decency to be written in very fine, clear paper and type.
Now, most Hunters these days did not dare venture in the wing where the Council death had happened, considering pre- Shadowling destruction the entire place was closed and barred off. However, with any decent amount of curiousity invoked in any individual, a quick trip to the Council wing would reveal that the door was cracked just slightly open. The lights were also on inside, thought it was (mostly) empty, except for a few props.
It was also surprisingly much cleaner than it had been the last time. OOC OPEN INVESTIGATION PERIOD!- All Hunters, THAT MEANS ALL, are welcome to participate! - There are a few items in the room you can investigate. You can also mingle and talk with others. Be careful while tampering with the lingering evidence remains! - To look around or investigate an area post your investigation in bold red. It must be a valid area in the image, so for example "___ Looked at the window". Phrasing is important to as to exactly how that person looked at it and where and may yield different results! Please only choose one action at a time until replied to. Good luck solving the first mystery on to your way to finally find answers on the death of the Council - Due to traffic from last time, I am only answering bold red cues that actually are pertinent to the actual mystery quest line. Everything else, if not applicable to the mystery hunt, will yield no response (I will ignore them). - IF you are new in participating this round you are totally free to do so! Go ahead and search around! - To see what has been done from last time read the first few pages here. So far: - There is a table. At the bottom is a logo that reads DEM. AT the end of the . is a ROUND hole that fits ??? inside it. - There is a window with a flagpole outside - There is sprayed glass on one side of the room - There is a grate that is welded shut and needs ??? to unscrew the screws

Marcus was back. This time with a tool box. Looking at the grate he wondered if they might as well get a welder.

Ami only followed because Marcus made her. Something about needing to work and mingle with other hunters.
So she looked at the three table legs, confused as to why there were only two black marks.
See look Marcus. She was helping.

Deryk was back, and there, he went over to the table. The grate was a little bit of a lost cause, so he went to look elsewhere.
And so he looked at the gashes on the top of the table.

Lucky had been a bit less than helpful of a presence the previous day, and karma gave him a pretty solid concussion for it. So if he was going to learn something new today, he'd have to work for it. And he was admittedly curious - not that he knew what the significance of the room even was. But if everyone else was here, it had to be okay to come back again... right? Sure. The table had been moved pretty roughly, but had only gouged 2 times into the floor - and it pretty distinctly had three legs that should have been doing that. As carefully as he could, he tried to lift the table up slightly from the floor, testing its weight before he did something stupid like drop it loudly or knock it over. "Has no drapać," he whispered to the fellow life hunter at the bottom of the table, tapping the offending no-gouge table leg with his foot. "Have suspicion."

Returning once again to the scene of the crime, Kat rubbed at her side tenderly. Jumping out of a window may have saved her from his highness, but not from the massive bruise she had received after crashing into the flag pole outside and then hitting the ground on top of that. Not one of her most graceful moments..
Entering the room, she wasn't at all surprised to see that some of the hunters had returned - in fact, she expected. Casually walking across the room, she went back to examining things, starting with the side of the table.

Opting once more to travel as Lucky's shadow in hopes that it might get the please don't talk to me point across, Mimsy waited silently for him to do something. She made use of her presence by glancing around the room, hoping to find something of note. It seemed that he'd found something interesting before she had; frowning, she kneeled to run her fingers over the black gouges on the floor, visually following them to the place where they would meet the legs.
"Rightful suspicion," she murmured, idly pressing a finger into the groove.

Solia brought cookies.
They had Deus ex Machina division emblems on them.
Set set them on the table before looking at Ami looking at the table legs.
"Hi sempai."

chimarii So she looked at the three table legs, confused as to why there were only two black marks. The table looked like any standard table with three legs: Blade Kuroda And so he looked at the gashes on the top of the table. Wow those are some thick gouges! There's an additional tiny slash from probably an incident a day ago..AstaraeI As carefully as he could, he tried to lift the table up slightly from the floor, testing its weight The table is extremely heavy. It would take ten hunters in unison holding up one side of the table (or just one Sun Division leader) to even lift a side of it. It weighs a tonne! Lividpeas examining things, starting with the side of the table. There are marks of blood on the side of the table.. nothing yet run her fingers over the black gouges on the floor, visually following them to the place where they would meet the legs. The gashes are thick black and rubbery, the usual stops you see at the bottom of chairs and table legs to prevent them from making thicker scrapes on the floor.

After their last escape, Ryan was debating on whether or not he even wanted to come back to this room. Then again, with his curiosity eating away at him, like it normally did, he found it hard to ignore also.
So he was back, though this time, he entered quietly, choosing not to speak unless asked something. The last thing they wanted was a repeat of yesterday. Which was also why he wasn't going to pound the table again. He did, however, slide back under it, to observe the initials once again. From what he had gathered yesterday, the table was hollow. Possibly hiding a hidden compartment. So today he brought with him a paperclip. A pen hadn't worked, but perhaps something smaller was needed. Then again, if this was a lock of some sort, he imagined that there was something specific that was needed. Either way, it was worth a shot.
Searching his pockets, he pulled out the paperclip, straightened it, and stuck the end into the 'period' after the 'm.' He then carefully twisted it around and listened for that 'click' like noise he had heard the other day.

The paperclip is tiny against the nearly fist-sized hole, considering it is a very large table.

Well that was a little more than pointless.
Having no luck with the paperclip, Ryan stashed it away. Well that was useless, maybe he should just try something else instead. Maybe something like--
Comparing the size of the hole to his own hand, Ryan stuck his fist in it and felt around for any kind of switch that may be hidden. Though the more he felt around, the more he was getting no where. In fact. He kind of felt like he was going around in circles. What if there wasn't anything in the table and it was just hollow? For all he knew, the clicks could even be because it was old or--
Regardless of his thoughts, Ryan was still too curious to just let it be.

Man those were some huge gashes. The new scratches were probably from Rep... and those didn't even compare!
Deryk then ran his fingers along the gashes to see if there was anything strange about them.

Man, she was sure she could be doing something better with her time. As much fun as yesterday was, she didn't want to have to jump out of anymore windows. Her side was already aching from where she had hit it off the pole. Though, she should really consider herself lucky, that she didn't bounce off the pole like Mark had when she threw him out the window. Still, she did not take responsibility for him getting involved. She only took the credit for pulling his a** out of there before getting caught. He totally owed her now. Yep. Yesterday was a pretty good day, considering.
Back to the task at hand.. She wasn't at all surprised to see more blood found, as she looked closer at the bloody hand print left behind. Hopefully there might at least be some sort of clue from it. Doubtful.. But hey, she could hope, now couldn't she?

Gale knelt beside Marcus, poking at the grate.
"Looks complicated," he said, and sighed, then pulled a pen out of his pocket and attempted to pry at the screws (probably uselessly).
